Veteran rapper will drop his ninth album, Ego Trippin', in March 2008, preceded by renamed single, "Sensual Seduction."

Whether or not you find the idea to be laughable of an Auto-Tuned Snoop Dogg singing, the Doggfather is definitely Trippin'.

Snoop Dogg said today that he will release his latest studio album, Ego Trippin', in March 2008. Snoop's ninth album will be the follow-up to 2006's The Blue Carpet Treatment.

The album is being preceded by the already released first single, on which the aforementioned Auto-Tune singing occurs. The Shawty Redd-produced song was initially called "Sexual Eruption," but the imagery the title invoked has forced Snoop to change it to "Sensual Seduction."

"I wanted to have fun wit this one...and the video is crazy!" Snoop said in a statement.

The video sends the rapper back in time to commingle with '80s video vixens such as Vanity 6 and the Mary Jane Girls. It debuts this Wednesday on MTV's TRL.

Dogg Father, Snoop Dogg's new reality show, premieres on E! on Dec. 9.

As the embodiment of '90s gangsta rap, Snoop Dogg blurred the lines between reality and fiction. Introduced to the world through Dr. Dre's The Chronic, Snoop quickly became the most famous star in rap, partially because of his drawled, laconic rhyming and partially because the violence that his lyrics implied seemed real, especially after he was...
