Sly & The Family Stone - There's A Riot Goin' On (1971)

"I found that in a dollar bin and it just really hit me hard."

Quasimoto - The Unseen (2000)

"That was an album that I just always had on repeat, like before it was an official album, it was just a demo that I had heard of Madlib's. He wasn't even pushing it on me or anything, it was just on the back of a cassette."

A Tribe Called Quest - Low End Theory (1991)

"I just remember waiting for that to come out...we were just amazed from start to finish. That was an instant classic."

Public Image Ltd. - Metal Box (1979)

"P.I.L. really was underrated when they first came out...it's ill...Some people don't understand his voice over it, but I happen to like it.

Gary Wilson - You Think You Really Know Me (2002)

"I guess you can call him new wave, post-punk, whatever, but he really was more of a jazz cat. He's one of those guys that's really a genius on every single instrument, he plays em all."
