Awards ceremony will also feature Beatles tribute from the casts of Cirque du Soleil's LOVE and the film Across the Universe.
Given the green light from striking writers, the 50th annual Grammy Awards has added to its list of performers and presenters for the Feb. 10 ceremony.
Feist, Alicia Keys, and Brad Paisley were announced this week as performers for the show, with Feist perhaps positioned for a big night. Despite having three solo albums out and four with Broken Social Scene, the Canadian songstress is nominated for Best New Artist and will likely use the Grammys to perform "1234," the song featured in the ubiquitous iPod ad.
Feist, Keys, and Paisley join the previously announced performers, including Beyoncé, Rihanna, Foo Fighters, and Mary J. Blige, among others.
The ceremony will also include a tribute to the Beatles featuring the casts of the Las Vegas show LOVE by Cirque du Soleil, which is based on the music of the Fab Four as well as the Beatles-inspired big-screen musical Across the Universe.
The 50th annual awards show also announced the first slate of presenters, which will feature a variety of past Grammy winners including Natalie Cole, Juanes, Cyndi Lauper, Bette Midler, and Bonnie Raitt.
As for Amy Winehouse, whose stellar album Back to Black is up for six Grammys, her label's statement last week about its hopes that Winehouse would attend and perform might be premature.
"I'm not sure the Grammys are going to happen," Winehouse's father Mitch told UK newspaper The Mirror. "I don't want her to go--I think it might be a bit too soon for her. She's not well--that's why she's in rehab. But she's doing OK. She is getting good treatment."
