Eddie Van Halen enters rehab
The cloud surrounding the ill-fated Van Halen reunion tour with David Lee Roth has revealed itself. In a statement on his Web site today, Eddie Van Halen said he has checked into rehab just a few days before his band is set to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Monday night. "I would like Van Halen fans to know how much I truly appreciate each and every one of you," Van Halen wrote. "Without you there is no Van Halen. I have always and will always feel a responsibility to give you my best. At the moment I do not feel that I can give you my best. That's why I have decided to enter a rehabilitation facility to work on myself, so that in the future I can deliver the 110 percent that I feel I owe you and want to give you."
"Some of the issues surrounding the 2007 Van Halen tour are within my ability to change and some are not," he continued. "As far as my rehab is concerned, it is within my ability to change and change for the better. I want you to know that is exactly what I'm doing, so that I may continue to give you the very best I am capable of. I look forward to seeing you in the future better than ever."
Lil Jon preps Comedy Central cartoon
Looking to expand his crunk empire into the animated world, Lil Jon is currently in the process of creating an animated cartoon with Comedy Central, featuring both his family and him, according to BallerStatus.net. The cartoon, titled A-Town, will focus on the rapper, his family, and their life in his hometown of Atlanta. "It's a hilarious cartoon. I think everybody's gonna love it," Lil Jon told the site. "Everybody thinks I'm gonna be the craziest character, but my family is crazier than I am. It's just about living in Atlanta; me and my family living in Atlanta and all the crazy stuff we get into." The show does not yet have a launch date.
