With the Duluth Tour, rockers are set to promote new album Era Vulgaris in small cities they've never played in before.
The era of Vulgaris is coming to a city--though not a major one--near you.
In unveiling their tour in support of forthcoming album, Era Vulgaris, which hits stores June 12, the Queens of the Stone Age have specifically chosen small cities where they have not yet performed.
The 13-date trek, dubbed by the band the "Duluth Tour," will kick off at the OC Fair in Costa Mesa, Calif., and conclude at the Diamond Ballroom in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
"We want to play to people who hardly ever get shows and just burn the house down," Queens frontman Josh Homme told Billboard of the outing, which will precede a major market run in September. "I think we're too stoked to not go deeper than we have before. It feels like the right time to go, 'Hey, man, sorry I'm late, but here we are.'"
The Best Buy version of Era Vulgaris will be bundled with a cover of Billy Idol's "White Wedding," while indie retailers will get a bonus disc with the oft-discussed rarity "The Fun Machine Took a S*** and Died."
