Former Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones, The Roots drummer Ahmir "?uestlove" Thompson, and guitarist Ben Harper will serve as the house band for the event, which kicks off at the Other Tent at midnight on Friday, June 15 and will likely see many guests join them on stage.

The SuperJam event is usually one of the most popular sets of the Bonnaroo weekend, which takes place June 14-17 on a 700-acre farm 60 miles southeast of Nashville. In past years, it has featured the likes of Police drummer Stewart Copeland, Herbie Hancock, Dr. John, Trey Anastasio, Robert Randolph, Edger Meyer, DJ Logic, Luther Dickinson, and members of both Galactic and the String Cheese Incident.

Hancock hosted the event in 2005, leading a single, defined unit that featured ?uestlove on drums and a series of guests. Last year's event served as the debut of an all-star band featuring former Phish bassist Mike Gordon, Anastasio, and the Duo.

Though popular success has largely eluded the Roots, the Philadelphia group showed the way for live rap, building on Stetsasonic's "hip-hop band" philosophy of the mid-'80s by focusing on live instrumentation at their concerts and in the studio. Led Zeppelin Led Zeppelin

Led Zeppelin was the definitive heavy metal band. It wasn't just their crushingly loud interpretation of the blues -- it was how they incorporated mythology, mysticism, and a variety of other genres (most notably world music and British folk) -- into their sound. Led Zeppelin had mystique. They rarely gave interviews, since the music press...
