Fergie vows Peas' album; Hilton talks to Babs; Way delivers retort; Sambora hits rehab, band bundles tix with album; Stack Bundles killed.
Fergie says Peas aren't going away
Is the world a better place without the Black Eyed Peas all over the airwaves? Depends on who you ask, but Fergie says it won't be long before the hip-pop group, whose members are all focusing on solo and side projects, heads back to the studio together. "We don't have an album yet, a Black Eyed Peas album," Fergie told Billboard.com. "We haven't had time; everybody's been constantly working, as we always do. But we will have an album. We're not going away."
The group will be performing at the London Live Earth concert on July 7 and at Japan's Summer Sonic Festival on Aug. 11 in Tokyo and Aug. 12 in Osaka. The Peas also plan to play 15 shows in 15 countries in the fall. "This will have been the longest time we have not performed together, so it'll be a nice reunion," Fergie said. Will.i.am, apl.de.ap, and Taboo are all working on solo albums, according to Fergie, whose solo debut, The Dutchess, has sold nearly 2 million copies in the US, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
Paris Hilton to stop acting dumb
Saying that God has given her a new chance, Paris Hilton spoke to ABC's Barbara Walters from jail yesterday, vowing not to appeal her sentence and to quit acting dumb. "I used to act dumb...That act is no longer cute," ABC quoted Hilton as saying. Hilton told Walters that she decided not to appeal her sentence because she "didn't want to cause any more problems," vowing that she is determined to change her life. "Now, I would like to make a difference," Hilton said. "God has given me this new chance." Hilton, 26, reached out to Walters through her mother.
In a separate statement issued to the media, Hilton said, "Being in jail is by far the hardest thing I have ever done. During the past several days, I have had a lot of time to reflect and have already learned a bitter, but important lesson from this experience." She also said she was "shocked" by the attention her case has received and suggested the public and media focus on "more important things like the men and women serving our country in Iraq."
After spending three days in jail for violating the terms of her probation for areckless driving case, Hilton was briefly released to home confinement Thursday for an undisclosed medical condition. An outraged judge sent her back to jail Friday. She is now housed in the medical ward of a maximum-security detention center.
MCR's Way blasts back at Manson
Just a few days after Marilyn Manson accused My Chemical Romance of ripping him off, MCR frontman Gerard Way has fired back at Manson, accusing the shock rocker of desperate self-promotion. "We still haven't found someone that has knocked us down that we need to take seriously," Way told Rock Sound magazine. "If Elvis Costello said we sucked we would think about it a bit, but usually it is comments from someone with a new record to promote so the remarks ring hollow."
Manson had earlier said that the song "Mutilation Is The Most Sincere Form Of Flattery," from his new record Eat Me, Drink Me, was a shot at Way and company. "I'm embarrassed to be me because these people are doing a really sad, pitiful, shallow version of what I've done," Manson said. "If they want to identify with me, then here's a razor blade. Call me when you're done, and we'll talk."
Sambora heads to rehab
Just days after a recording of an MTV Unplugged performance in which he was reportedly too drunk to perform at times, Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora entered a treatment facility, according to People magazine. "Richie Sambora has entered an undisclosed treatment facility in Los Angeles," a rep for the band told the magazine. "He asks that you respect his and his family's privacy at this time." The specific nature of Sambora's problem was not disclosed.
Sambora still plans to perform with his band in a concert on the Today show on June 19. Bon Jovi is taking an innovative approach to marketing its forthcoming album, Lost Highway, which hits stores June 19. The band is playing a string of shows in Newark, N.J., in October, and fans who purchase tickets to those shows can receive a voucher for a copy of the album for $9.99 extra.
Dip Set member Stack Bundles killed
Dip Set Byrdgang member Stack Bundles was reportedly killed early this morning in the lobby of his apartment building in the Far Rockaway section of Queens in New York City. Stack--real name Rayquon Elliott--was shot once in the head and once in the neck, after returning from Club Stereo around 5 a.m., according to the NYPD. His chain was stolen, but his money and credit cards were intact. He was 24 years old.
Diplomats Records president Freekey Zekey issued a statement regarding the slain rapper. "I just want to say life is never promised tomorrow, so you have to live your life to the fullest...Stack is a true solider. I've been in similar circumstances three years ago, and it's really killing me inside. He was young, and I'm very saddened by this loss. I was with Stack last night in Stereo, and it's just hard to leave someone a few hours ago to hear they had an untimely death. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family, especially his sisters."

Oldest First | Newest First-She will stop "acting" stupid. Why was she doing it in the first place? She's giving genuinely stupid people a bad name.
-MCR has never been good. Their style is not original, and I don't think they ripped off Manson at all, but hey I like MM more than awful MCR. And where did Costello come from? And why is MM not important musicwise? They're idiots.
-Sambora had issues? Is this because of that Locklear and Richards stuff? Anyway get well soon.
