Kelly Clarkson revives tour plans

Former American Idol to play 25 theater dates starting Oct. 10 in support of her latest album, My December.

Kelly Clarkson will conclude a tumultuous 2007 with a 25-date theater tour, hoping to quell the controversy and doubt surrounding her latest album by taking it directly to her fans.

After scrapping a planned summer tour due to poor ticket sales and a debate with her record label on her album, My December, Clarkson today announced a 25-date tour that will kick off October 10 at the Turning Stone Casino in Verona, New York.

The trek, which will include three nights at the Beacon Theatre in New York City, will wrap up on December 3 at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.

Fans who held tickets for the scrapped dates are eligible for a special Ticketmaster code for the new shows; details are available on Clarkson's Web site.
