California country music festival's sophomore outing will feature Rascal Flatts, Tim McGraw, Big & Rich, Carrie Underwood, and many more.
The concert promoter behind Coachella has not gotten into country music lightly.
Goldenvoice, which organizes the annual Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in Indio, Calif., unveiled the lineup for its second annual Stagecoach Festival, to be held at the same venue May 3-4, and it's a doozy.
Stagecoach '08 will include a one-off performance from the Judds, playing their first live show since 2000, as well as a who's who of country stars, including Rascal Flatts, Tim McGraw, Big & Rich, Carrie Underwood, Gretchen Wilson, Dwight Yoakam, George Jones, Trace Adkins, Dierks Bentley, Earl Scruggs, and Ralph Stanley.
The event will also feature performances from Kellie Pickler, Shooter Jennings, Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas, Dan Tyminski, Ian Tyson, Jack Ingram, the Isaacs, Bucky Covington, Riders in the Sky, Kentucky Headhunters, Michael Martin Murphey, Cherryholmes, J.D. Crowe, Wylie & The Wild West, Red Steagall, Luke Bryan, Halfway To Hazard, Billy Joe Shaver, Ryan Bingham, Carolina Chocolate Drops, Waddie Mitchell, Crystal Shawanda, and Jypsi and the Greencards.
Those bands will be scattered across four stages. Just like last year, the event will also include activities, such as mechanical bull rides, lasso and roping clinics, and fiddling demonstrations. Tickets go on sale Friday via Ticketmaster.
In related news, the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, also held at Empire Polo Field in Indio, is set for April 25-27. Lineup details are expected early next year.
