Capone-N-Noreaga - The War Report (1997)

"I love that record. I still love that record. The one song in particular is “Bloody Money”...the piano! EZ Elpee man, that guy has made my life so much better..he’s amazing."

Foreign Legion - Play Tight (2004)

"It was playful, a lot of goofy stories, a lot of silly catchy, drunken choruses. Musically, I used a lot of samples but would incorporate synths and stuff in it, and tried to make a lot of dance tracks.”

Public Image Limited - First Issue (1978)

"This is one of my favorite records, and it has nothing to do with hip-hop. It’s the record that Johnny Lydon put out after the Sex Pistols, and what’s cool about this is there’s this bass player that’s real dubbed-out...Jah Wobble is the bass player’s name, and the guitarist is Keith Levene, who just had this really crazy harmonic sound."

Wu-Tang Clan - Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) (1993)

"Musically that album scared me when it came out…Wu-Tang made D.I.T.C. sound polished. Things weren’t on-key, there was just the strangest sounds, they were so raw about it. But at the same time, the raps were so confident, it sort of validated the music."

Ol' Dirty Bastard - Return To The 36 Chambers: The Dirty Version (1995)

"He was just like, this raw nerve...Ol' Dirty Bastard was like the Sid Vicious of rap. I don’t see anybody competing with him…There’s lots of people out there who are really crazy, but he could express it really well on vinyl."
