ACL snags Foo Fighters, Plant/Krauss

Massive three-day event in the Texan capital will feature more than 125 acts, including Beck, John Fogerty, David Byrne, and Manu Chao.

The summer music festival season hasn't even started yet, but the battle lines have already been drawn for top dog among the fall's blowout music events.

The seventh annual Austin City Limits Music Festival unveiled its massive lineup today, with the Foo Fighters, Alison Krauss & Robert Plant, Beck, John Fogerty, David Byrne, Manu Chao, the Raconteurs, and the Mars Volta topping a bill that features more than 125 acts.

The event will be held September 26-28 at Zilker Park in the Texan capital. Three-day passes are available for $170, including fees and a print-at-home option, at ACLfestival.com.

The lineup also includes Gnarls Barkley, Erykah Badu, Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band, N.E.R.D., Tegan & Sara, Iron & Wine, G. Love & Special Sauce, Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings, Hot Chip, Vampire Weekend, Slightly Stoopid, Neko Case, Band Of Horses, Silversun Pickups, Gogol Bordello, Gillian Welch, the Black Keys, Against Me!, Spiritualized, Duffy, Robert Earl Keen, Patty Griffin, and Roky Erickson.

In 2007, Austin City Limits boasted an attendance of 225,000 throughout three sold-out days.
