Justice and the Raconteurs headline the second annual Treasure Island Music Festival in San Francisco.
The Treasure Island Music Festival is back in the San Francisco Bay Area for a second year.
The two-day event, scheduled for Sept. 20 and 21, 2008, again takes place on--you guessed it--Treasure Island, a manmade island in San Francisco Bay. Headlining the event this year are the Raconteurs and Justice, and additional artists include TV on the Radio, Goldfrapp, Hot Chip, Spiritualized, Tegan & Sara, the Dodos, and Vampire Weekend.
Tickets go on sale May 29. Single day tickets are $65, two-day tickets are $115 (though early birds can take advantage of a $99 presale price). There will also be a limited quantity of VIP ticket packages. The festival is organized by the creators of San Francisco's annual Noise Pop Festival and Another Planet Entertainment. Events run from noon to 10pm each day. As was done last year, complimentary transportation will be provided to the island on bio-diesel buses. Check the festival website for updated information and a full roster of performers.
