Disturbed to head Jagermeister tour

Alt-metal rockers will be joined by Corrosion of Conformity on first leg, Bloodsimple on the second.

Syrupy black liquor Jagermeister is rolling out the latest edition of its music tour this fall with Chicago alt-metal act Disturbed as headliner and Corrosion of Conformity and Bloodsimple backing them up on separate legs of the 35-city swing.

The tour, now in its fifth year, has featured headliners like Slayer and Slipknot in years past.

It will begin November 4 in Minneapolis. The first leg of the tour will feature multishow stops in Cincinnati, Columbus, Cleveland, Detroit, Chicago, Grand Rapids, Boston, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, DC.

Each show will feature a Jagermeister-sponsored opening band. Disturbed is touring in support of its third album, Ten Thousand Fists (Warner Bros.), which debuted atop the Billboard's charts by selling more than 240,000 copies its first week out.

"I really respect what Jagermeister has done on previous tours," Disturbed singer David Draiman said in a statement. "So now that we're doing our first headlining tour in two years, we want it to be the Jagermeister Music Tour. We're psyched to be headlining. I'm a huge fan of the drink, and there's no doubt that Disturbed and Jagermeister are a perfect mix." Check the Jagermeister tour Web site for tour dates.
