The 2006 Vans Warped tour is ready to put another dime in the jukebox, baby.

The 12-year-old traveling punk and indie rock tour tabbed veteran rock act Joan Jett and the Blackhearts to join a host of mostly up-and-coming bands this year.

This year's tour, the longest-running traveling rock tour in the US, will feature performances by AFI, Saves The Day, Against Me, Helmet, Less Than Jake, Say Anything, Senses Fail, the Academy Is, Underoath, the Living End, Rise Against, Thursday, Motion City Soundtrack, From First To Last, and NOFX.

The 49-show tour will kick off June 15 at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD, and continue through August 13 at Parc Jean Drapeau in Montreal.

Several other artists will play on at least some of the dates of tour, including the Buzzcocks, Anti-Flag, the Germs, Bouncing Souls, From Autumn to Ashes, Mute Math, Reggie & the Full Effect, Bullet For My Valentine, Silverstein, and the Sounds.

Tickets for the first batch of shows begin going on sale March 15. Presale tix cost $20 and include a double-disc tour compilation.
