Radio powerhouse Clear Channel said today that it has inked exclusive online deals with Rihanna, Godsmack, and Carrie Underwood to post on-demand content from those artists on the Web sites of its 900 radio stations.

The Web sites of Clear Channel stations will preview the upcoming albums of both Caribbean songstress Rihanna and alt-metalers Godsmack starting tomorrow, with each album, A Girl Like Me and Godsmack IV, respectively, hitting stores April 25.

Underwood, a former American Idol winner, will perform songs from her triple-platinum debut album, Some Hearts, including her hit "Jesus Take the Wheel," on Clear Channel's in-studio performance series, Stripped.

"We have some of the greatest artists choosing Clear Channel Radio to debut their content exclusively on-demand on our sites," said Clear Channel's Evan Harrison in a statement. "Godsmack has a devout rock audience and Rihanna's 'SOS' is burning up the charts. It's an honor to offer our millions of listeners the first chance to experience these eagerly anticipated releases as well as an intimate Stripped recording with Carrie Underwood."

Maybe this thought was in the minds of Simon Fuller and the rest of AmIdol's 19...

The Other Side is Godsmack's first acoustic offering. Totaling seven songs, it's not quite a full album. But fans will note its mixture old and new material, as well as the departure from Sully Erna and co.'s normal metallurgical sonic signature. The primary influence here is Alice in Chains. New track "Running Blind" is dominated by the...
