TV's pop-star maker could sell both audio and video performances from the show on the official site as soon as tomorrow, Variety reports.
Can't get enough of the vocal stylings of Taylor Hicks?
You might soon be able to download the salt-and-pepper-haired crooner's performances on Fox's hit TV show American Idol from the show's official site.
Variety reports today that Idol will sell downloads of both audio and video performances of the previous night's show for 99 cents and $1.99, respectively.
The trade mag reports that nothing is official, however, saying that the downloads could be available immediately after the show, delayed until May 9 or rights wrangling could derail the whole thing.
If it happens, Fox, FremantleMedia, and coproducer 19 Entertainment would share in the digital revenue.
The show's official site now offers streams of the previous night's highlights, along with other content extras.
