Comedian/actor rides Internet buzz of "Rollin' With Saget" and reality TV show Blowin' Up to a major label contract.

Rolling with Bob Saget and George Lucas is not the typical road to hip-hop stardom.

But for Philly-bred comedian/actor Jamie Kennedy, the Internet buzz of "Rollin' With Saget," featuring the comedian and Full House star and including a cameo from the Star Wars creator, has landed him a record deal.

Kennedy, whose attempt at becoming a rapper has been chronicled in the MTV reality show Blowin' Up, signed a deal with Reprise Records/Warner Bros. Records for his label Jkss Records to release his debut album, Blowin' Up. The album is expected to hit stores July 11.

Kennedy is best known for his WB prankster reality show The Jamie Kennedy Experiment, as well as his appearances in movies such as Wes Craven's Scream, Three Kings, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, and Son of the Mask.

The MTV show Blowin' Up follows Kennedy and his partner Stu Stone as they try to become hip-hop stars.

The pair put together a video earlier this year for the send-up "Rollin With Saget," featuring rhymes from Saget himself, and posted the video on YouTube. Kennedy's MySpace page boasts more than two million plays of "Rollin' With Saget" and "Circle Dot Dot"

Blowin' Up the album will feature guest spots from Saget, Ice-T, E-40, Paul Wall, Kardinall Offishall, and American Pie star Jason Biggs, who teams up with E-40 on the track "F*** Jamie Kennedy."

Ice-T Ice-T

Ice-T (born Tracy Morrow) has proven to be one of hip-hop's most articulate and intelligent stars, as well as one of its most frustrating. At his best, the rapper has written some of the best portraits of ghetto life and gangsters, as well as some of the best social commentary hip-hop has produced. Just as often, he can slip into sexism and...
