As band gets set to kick off its fall tour, longtime keyboardist is released for unspecified "personal issues."

The Black Crowes have dumped keyboardist Eddie Hawrysch because of undisclosed "personal issues," the band said on its Web site.

The band did not elaborate on the decision in a posting on its message board.

Hawrysch will be replaced by Rob Clores on the group's fall tour of North America, which begins September 7 in Richmond, Virginia, a statement said. Clores previously played with Black Crowes guitarist Rich Robinson on his solo outing. "We are excited to announce Rob Clores as keyboardist and look forward to the fall leg," the band wrote.

The Crowes first recruited Canadian-born Hawrysch to re-create the keyboard work of studio musician Chuck Leavell on their debut album, 1990's Shake Your Money Maker. Hawrysch made his recording debut on their 1992 sophomore album The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion. He got his start playing with bluesman James Cotton and sat in with Muddy Waters when Cotton's band opened for the Delta legend.

Earlier this month, a publicist for actress Kate Hudson confirmed that she and Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson had split. The couple, who were married on New Year's Eve in 2000, has a two-year-old son, Ryder.
