Madonna won't face blasphemy charges
Madonna won't face criminal charges in the Netherlands over her use of a faux crucifixion in her concert in Amsterdam in September 2006, the city's prosecutor's office said this week. The country's Protestant SGP party had called for charges to be brought against the singer for kneeling and taking off a crown of thorns to the backdrop of a crucifix, a portion of her concert that was featured throughout her 2006 Confessions tour. But a spokesperson for Amsterdam's prosecutor's office says, "The pop singer Madonna will not be prosecuted for blasphemy and insulting faith. The prosecutor's office believes that through her show, the singer on all the evidence tried to express her frustrations about certain situations in the world; it is not a question of contempt for God. Furthermore, Madonna did not discredit Christians as a group."
Report: Love to join Idol as judge
Rarely has Courtney Love been considered an upgrade in professionalism, but American Idol is reportedly considering the singer as a possible replacement for judge Paula Abdul, who has been criticized recently for promotional appearances in which she appeared disoriented. Us magazine's Web site reported today that Love said Idol executive producer Nigel Lythgoe called her office last week inquiring into whether she would be interested in sitting in as a judge on the hit Fox show. "He called," Love said. "He was wondering if I was interested. I thought it was kind of weird but brilliant." But Love, who is in the midst of recording a solo album, wouldn't just be sitting in but would be in line to replace Abdul, the mag reports.
Doherty checks into rehab with Moss in tow
Pete Doherty is reportedly back in rehab, and this time his on-again, off-again girlfriend Kate Moss has joined him to aid in his recovery. The Babyshambles frontman, who has battled drug addiction in a very public way for more than a year, checked into Capio Nightingale Hospital in North West London, according to UK newspaper The Sun. The facility is located just one mile away from the model's home. Doherty's alleged drug use first received widespread media attention when Moss was caught on camera in September 2005 as she did cocaine with Doherty and his bandmates.

Kiss has partnered with comic book production company Platinum Studios to create a new comic book entertainment company called the Kiss Comics Group. The deal marks the first time that the glam-rock band will produce its own comic book-based characters. The deal occurred under the banner of Kiss Catalog Ltd., run by original members Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley. The venture plans to expand the comic book characters' images onto multimedia platforms including print, mobile, online, film, television, and licensed merchandise. The project will launch with Kiss 4K, the story of Simmons, Stanley, and other band members' transformation from rock stars to world-protecting warrior spirits. It will be released in March as a three-foot comic priced at $50. It will be followed by merchandise including apparel, video games, and comic strips for cell phones.

Paris Hilton sues Web site operator
Paris Hilton may have made her reputation on her willingness to be exposed, but she wants to make sure she's the one making money off that exposure. The celebutante filed a federal lawsuit Monday, seeking to shut down a Web site that displays risqué photos and videos of herself, along with diaries and other belongings she had been storing in a storage facility. The Web site was launched last week, claiming the items were auctioned off after Hilton neglected to pay the Los Angeles-area storage facility. It also promises visitors who pay a fee of $39.97 access to Hilton's passport, medical records, and other legal documents.
In her lawsuit, Hilton said she put her possessions in storage two years ago when she and her sister, Nicky, moved out of a house that had been burglarized. The 25-year-old heiress said a moving company was supposed to pay the storage fees and was "shocked and surprised" to learn her belongings were sold at a public auction. "I was appalled to learn that people are exploiting my and my sisters' private personal belongings for commercial gain," Hilton said in a declaration supporting the lawsuit, adding she was concerned the information could be used for identity theft or harassment. The lawsuit seeks to force entrepreneur Bardia Persa, who created the site ParisExposed.com, to shut it down and return the items to Hilton.

Oldest First | Newest FirstI feel the same way you sue the Sh%$ out of them for me 'cause the same thing happen to me back on 911 when I lost my job due to 911 my boss's wife died in the falling of the buildings and he was in Los Angeles at the time with the kids and he had to move back to take care of his family in New York.
And so he decided not to move back to Los Angeles thus vacating his position and I was his Assistant at the time and was edging my way to a full-time position as his assts and I got the call from HR saying that they would not renew his position and they were going to close his department which means I got the boot. (3 pay checks away from being homeless right out the door)
So in the middle of all this I was unable to pay my storage fees and other items at the time and public storage auctioned off my stuff. I had had valuable things in there like legal documents, signed copies of diana ross cd's, one of a kind Oscar posters, computers, all things for the office, furnishings, you name it, I lost it all.
And so I have to agree with Paris Hilton on this one, they should be making money off of other people its bad enough that the charge outrageous prices for the storage especially here in Los Angeles.
I'm glad that I was in Paris Hilton last movie "Bottoms Up" you can see clips of the movie on my youtube.com/matell along with my song "Marry Me"
