The Stooges unveil US tour dates

Seminal punk outfit will support their first album in more than 30 years with an eight-show jaunt starting at SXSW in Austin, Texas.

Iggy Pop and the Stooges are bringing The Weirdness on a US tour.

The seminal punk band, which reunited in 2005 for a tour, is set to release The Weirdness, its first new album in more than 30 years, on March 20. Today the band announced a tour in support of that release.

The eight-show jaunt will kick off the tour at the South by Southwest (SXSW) festival in Austin, Texas, on March 17, to be followed by stops in Boston, NYC, Detroit, Denver, Seattle, and a two-date stay at the Warfield in San Francisco.


The Stooges tour dates:

3/17: Austin, TX (SXSW)

4/7: Boston, MA (Orpheum Boston)

4/9: New York, NY (United Palace)

4/13: Detroit, MI (Fox Theatre)

4/17: Denver, CO (Fillmore Auditorium)

4/19 & 4/21: San Francisco, CA (The Warfield)

4/27: Seattle, WA (WaMu Theater at Qwest Field Events)
