Three-day fest kicks off Friday afternoon, featuring sets by Bjork, Arctic Monkeys, DJ Shadow, Amy Winehouse, and others.
Bjork or DJ Shadow?
Arcade Fire or Ghostface?
Air or Lily Allen?
Those are the conundrums presented by today's release of the set times list for this weekend's Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, where some of the biggest and brightest in music will perform over the three days in the sun-baked desert of Southern California.
Flosstradamus featuring Kid Sister will be the first act to play when the event kicks off Friday afternoon, followed by sets scattered on five stages through the rest of the weekend. Friday's highlights include Bjork, Arctic Monkeys, DJ Shadow, Amy Winehouse, Stephen Marley, Sonic Youth, Faithless, and Interpol, among others.
Pharaohe Monch will kick off music on the main stage on Saturday, with Fountains of Wayne, Regina Spektor, Travis, Kings of Leon, Arcade Fire, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Tiesto to follow. The Good, the Bad & the Queen, Ghostface Killah, the Decemberists, Gotan Project, the Rapture, LCD Soundsystem, Black Keys, Sparklehorse, and Ozomatli are also set to play Saturday.
The return of Rage Against the Machine will highlight the third day of the fest, as will performances by Lily Allen, The Roots, Soulwax, Manu Chao, Crowded House, Air, Kaiser Chiefs, Damien Rice, Lemonheads, Willie Nelson, and Happy Mondays, among others.
Check Coachella's site for a full listing. If you can't make it to Indio, California for Coachella, check out the AT&T Blue Room for live a live webcast of the event.
