Snoop Dogg: I have beats for Celine
Despite an ever-growing rap sheet, Snoog Dogg is still able to move in unexpected circles, like his Chrysler ad appearance with Lee Iacocca. Now he wants to parlay that ability to the music game and make beats for unexpected collaborators--namely Celine Dion. "I got beats for...everybody, man," Snoop told AllHipHop.com. "I got beats for Celine Dion, and Sade. I've got music for everybody, not just rap. Rap s*** is easy--whoever I call, I can get, just because I'm Snoop Dogg. That's too easy. I want to reach out with some creative artists that's gonna be here 20 years from now."
Reznor blasts album pricing
Nine Inch Nails' "true fans" are getting screwed. So says the band's frontman, Trent Reznor, who blasted his record label, Universal Music Group, for pricing the band's new album, Year Zero, too high. In a post on the band's Web site, Reznor called the pricing is "absurd" and wrote, "As the climate grows more and more desperate for record labels, their answer to their mostly self-inflicted wounds seems to be to screw the consumer over even more." He noted that Year Zero is selling in Australia for $34.99 Australian dollars ($29.10 US), while Avril Lavigne's album, which was released the same week, is selling for $21.99 ($18.21 US)."
"When I asked a label rep about this his response was: 'It's because we know you have a real core audience that will pay whatever it costs when you put something out--you know, true fans," Reznor wrote. "It's the pop stuff we have to discount to get people to buy.' So...I guess as a reward for being a 'true fan' you get ripped off."

Malmsteen selling 1983 Ferrari
Here's the deal. You will buy Yngwie Malmsteen's's 1983 Ferrari, or you will feel the fury. Actually, it's the f***ing fury. And you don't want to feel the f***ing fury. The guitar maestro has put his 1983 black Ferrari up for auction on eBay, and bids have soared to $19,100 as of press time. The auction is set to end on Saturday at 12:47 p.m. PT.
"This Ferrari is probably one of the most photographed cars in rock and roll and can be found as the back drop for Yngwie posters, amplifier print ads, magazine write ups and past photo shoots all over the world over the last 18 years," the eBay post reads. "It has also been used as a photo backdrop to Yngwie's world famous "Duck" Strat. This Ferrari is also the subject of Yngwie's tune entitled "Beauty and a Beast" and "Demon Driver."
