Candidate's campaign sets up contest to choose theme song; KT Tunstall, Smash Mouth, Temptations, Staple Singers, Jesus Jones, and Shania Twain in the hunt.
Looking for a ditty that conveys just the right sense of optimism and urgency, Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton is turning to the Internet for help picking her official campaign song.
Clinton's campaign team has set up a contest on her Web site, asking users to vote on one of nine songs to become the song that defines her run for the highest office in the land, much like Fleetwood Mac's "Don't Stop" became the theme for her husband Bill Clinton's presidential run in 1992.
Voters have two US songs to choose from, as both "City of Blinding Lights" and "Beautiful Day" made the list. The Dixie Chicks' "Ready to Run," KT Tunstall's "Suddenly I See," Jesus Jones' "Right Here, Right Now," The Temptations' "Get Ready," and The Staple Singers' "I'll Take You There" also made the list, as did Smash Mouth's cover of the Monkees' "I'm a Believer."
U2 and Motown classics feature heavily on the playlist of Hillary Clinton's iPod.

Now she's the icon of a generation?
Anyone who falls for this...
If you win i'll be all too happy.
I say go with The Temptations "Get Ready".
