"Umbrella" nears UK record; Fiddy album delayed; album rumors persist; singer collapses; rapper indicted.
Rihanna nears UK chart record
With an epic nine-week run atop the UK singles chart, Rihanna's "Umbrella" featuring Jay-Z has equaled Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy" as the longest-running top seller of the decade.
The track, which is also in its seventh week atop the Billboard Hot 100, beat out Fergie's "Big Girls Don't Cry," which jumped from No. 8 to No. 2. Timbaland's "The Way I Are" featuring Keri Hilson was No. 4, while the Arctic Monkeys' "Fluorescent Adolescent" jumped from No. 23 to No. 5.
50 Cent album pushed back
50 Cent's new album, Curtis, has been pushed back another week from September 4 to September 11, according to Interscope, which did not cite a reason for the move. Curtis was originally slated for a June 26 release but was delayed in late May.
The album's release has been preceded by two singles that have had little success at radio. "Amusement Park" peaked at No. 36 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and is No. 57 in its ninth week there, while "Straight to the Bank" peaked at No. 30 and has since fallen off the chart. Another new song, "I Get Money," debuted last week at No. 75.
Curtis features production from Dr. Dre, Eminem, and Timbaland, plus guest turns by Eminem, Akon, Justin Timberlake, Mary J. Blige, Robin Thicke, and Nicole Scherzinger from the Pussycat Dolls.
Report: Radiohead mastering album
In the ongoing saga of Radiohead's seventh album and whether or not the band will continue to tease its fans about its long-delayed arrival, a fan site has claimed that the band is in NYC mastering the album. In a post on Ateaseweb.com, a fan posted that Radiohead members Colin Greenwood and Ed O'Brien and producer Nigel Godrich showed up at a listening party for Spoon's new album Ga Ga Ga Ga.
"They're in the city mastering the album," wrote the fan, who also posted several photos with Greenwood and O'Brien. "Then they're going to listen to it, see what they think. So, we're almost there, maybe."

Remy Ma indicted in shooting
Bronx rapper Remy Ma pleaded not guilty to attempted murder and other counts Sunday in the shooting of a woman in Manhattan over the weekend. Police said they found a woman with a gunshot wound to her lower torso early Saturday in the Meatpacking District. Three blocks away, officers said they discovered a luxury SUV owned by Remy Ma, whose real name is Remy Smith. The vehicle was involved in a single-car crash and abandoned, police said. The victim, Makeda Barnes-Joseph, 23, was hospitalized in stable condition Sunday. Prosecutors said she and the rapper knew each other.
Remy Ma turned herself in Saturday night. She was charged with attempted murder, assault, and weapon possession. At the rapper's arraignment, a judge granted the prosecution's request for bail to be set at $250,000. Remy Ma was jailed while the judge reviewed her bail offer.
