Virgin Mobile

When: August 9-10, 2008

Where: Pimlico Race Course, Baltimore, Maryland

Why: Where else can you see Kanye West and Bob Dylan on the same stage for one ticket price?

Who: Bloc Party, Cat Power, Chuck Berry & The Silver Seats, Citizen Cope, Duffy, Foo Fighters, Jack Johnson, KT Tunstall, Lupe Fiasco, Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings, The Offspring, Wilco, Andrew Bird, The Black Keys, Bob Dylan, Nine Inch Nails, Lil' Wayne, Kanye West, Stone Temple Pilots, Moby (DJ set), and more.

How: Single-day passes are $97.50; single-day VIP passes are $250.00; two-day passes are $175; and two-day VIP passes are $450.

This North American festival gathers an eclectic mix of the hottest indie and mainstream artists to share the same stage. Just think of the incredible parties that could be formed backstage with the Stone Temple Pilots sharing a...uhhh drink with Lil' Wayne, Duffy and Sharon Jones talking about a collaboration, and Jack Johnson just trying to find someone...anyone to talk to him.

Main Attraction: Bob Dylan

Let's face the facts here: Bob's no spring chicken. Rather than take anything for granted, check out a musical legend while you still have the opportunity to do so.

Don't Miss: Kanye West

As long as he doesn't pull another Bonnaroo performance, expect Kanye to move the crowd with his bag of hits. He's been getting stellar reviews for his Glow in the Dark Tour performances, but don't expect any guests to jump onstage with this egomaniac. Word on the street is he refuses to share the stage with anyone.

Played Out: Lil Wayne

If you can't understand the guy on his CDs, I highly doubt you'll be able to comprehend him when he's in a different state of mind and shouting on the mic. Expect the kiddies to go crazy over "Lollipop," but expect the highlights to be few and far between.
