Tommy Henriksen
Born in the sleepy, working class hamlet of Port Jefferson, New York, Tommy Henriksenwas one of five children raised by a single father who worked multiple jobs to support his family. Henriksen's love of music eventually led him to California, where he toiled unsuccessfully in the Los Angeles music scene before finally returning to New York City in 1991. He found work in construction, but never let his dream of a music career fall far from sight, and enjoyed a brief stint as a guitar and keyboard technician for Alice Cooper. As fortune would have it, Henriksen soon met British music producer Keith Forsey who'd made great strides working with the Psychedelic Furs and Simple Minds. The two men hit if off almost immediately and worked together on what would later become Henriksen's debut album. In mid 1998, Capitol Records executive Steve Patch heard the young musician and Henriksen was signed to his first major label recording contract. ~ Roxanne Blanford, All Music Guide
