Seriously, why do I even bother with this piece of crap blog if it doesn't generate any discussion? It must be one of two things: either I'm incredibly boring, or I just don't have any friends. I'm guessing both. In fact, the only motive behind this very entry is to generate traffic in this dead place, considering the last thing I posted that got mild attention was my "No One Replies to My Journal Entries" entry.

I am in a desperate situation - a situation that comes from the lack of new albums. There are so many black and death metal albums out there that I need, but have not the means to acquire. MP3's are fine and dandy, but after a while the collector in me just gets frustrated with not having the stuff I want from an official source. So, here's what I'm thinking, just to get the ball rolling...

Sunday, November 13, 2005... a truly tragic day for the world of professional wrestling. Early this morning, Eddie Guerrero was found dead in his hotel room. Details on his death have yet to be released, although he had a well-known lifelong battle with an addiction to painkillers.

He was a man that will go down as one of the greatest to ever step into the squared circle, and will be remembered for a long time to come.

Granted, I haven't heard Lord Worm's return to Cryptopsy with the recently released Once Was Not, but I can't imagine even Cryptopsy surpassing this. Nile is the best damn death metal band of the 00's. I can't get enough.

I just saw Sideways last night, and it has only further cemented my stance that Paul Giamatti is probably the best actor of the last five years. Sideways was pure brilliance. It combines depression, comedy, and adventure all into one big fat roll of ownage. Paul Giamatti and Thomas Haden Church are perfect opposites, and their cleverly written exchanges are the highlight of the film. One is a loser who has reached the inevitable midlife crisis, the other a sex fiend doing whatever he can to get laid before he walks the aisle on the coming Saturday. Add wine, and you've got it. Sideways replaces Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind as my favorite flick of 2004. See it, or I'll personally come by your home and kick your ass.
