Been/Being Busy

I've had about 8 assessments to finish in 2 weeks between playing games so yer, that's my absence explained. Hope to have them done tomorrow. About 6 of them have been 1-2000 word reports, FUN!!!! I'm going mentally insane right now

So there I was.

Enjoying my blissful sleep miles away from any sort of consciousness for once, when I got rudely interrupted by our doorbell of doom. I proceeded to say with a somewhat loud voice, "What the ****". then rolled out of bed and stumbled up the hallway without knowing who I was to encounter when I had finally made the journey to the front of the house.

As I fumble with the doorknob and lock, I make out a hazy figure wearing a brightly covered safety vest, and my mind began to wonder, "Is he here to fix the phone lines, or is he more dastardly?". After my struggle to open the door, I discover he's only a lonely courier, who has battled his way through the torrential rain supplied by the superstorm just off the coast, destined and determined to make his deliveries.

As I look at the bag with the box inside, it hit me, that huge light bulb feeling you get when you know what to do, or what is happening. My brain exploded (metaphorically) in a sea of dance, no cares, no concerns, losing itself in an extravagant waltz. I soon regained my composure and had a delightful chat with the man about his travels through the tempestuous weather, and almost running into the damaged phone line hanging two meters above the ground (8 feet or so) outside our house.

I signed for the package, sent him on his way with a cordial thank you, and bolted to the front of the house to open and set down my package, almost ripping and tearing to get to the contents. As I open the box, I slowly remove it's gem, a giant black one, spurting potential raw power and game-running ability, I was in heaven.

And that's how I got my PS3 back.

Luck:

Something I don't have much of.

Time for a rant/update I think.

My networking class is going ok, not much more that I'm actually going to be learning in most of the course I think, but we'll see. The first term wasn't even worth me going to, but oh well you get that, I knew it'd be pretty easy anyway.

Anyways, I've finally got my car ready for registration, frankly, it's lucky to not have any scratches on it from what's been piled in my way on the roads. For instance, I almost got hit 4 times in a day from people not looking as they pull out, another time at a roundabout, and one night some deer decided to take a stroll across the road in front of me. That was probably the closest event, missed by about 5-7 inches, would have written off the car too. Also, 2 days after I got work on the engine and axles done, a massive stone got kicked up into the windshield cracking it, so that had to be replaced, I have a nice new tinted one now.

Hmm what else, oh I sent my PS3 down to the repair center in April, and still haven't got a confirmation that they even have it yet, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was lost in transit (not the first time something's gone missing while it's going to and from places >_>).

Positives? Well I must have fast reflexes since I was able to miss all the dangers said above. The fact I'm alive and healthy is always reassuring as well. I hooked up my PC monitor into the lappy, don't know how I got by without dual screens before And nothing else has broken yet *crosses fingers*.

I think that'd be about it, sort of quiet around here, 6 days of the Musical left, 4 shows I think. Friend's 18th shortly after that, with a band concert in between.

Promised this a while ago.

I'm working on getting the one of me going through a double, and will try a triple if I have the chance sometime.

Well then.

We came third, pretty sucky, but oh well, did the best we could with what we had. Lots of people seemed a little nervous, they didn't show it, but it came through in the music. Hopefully we'll start on some better pieces rather than playing stuff from ages ago now.

I've been back for a while but am just taking it easy and doing some mass gaming. Beat the first S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game, then managed to get Gears of War working well enough for an entire play through which was pretty fun.

So yeah dunno what I'll be doing for a little while. Don't worry I have been reading blogs but a little to lazy to comment right now.

See you all later.

About Me

I will thank you for bacon. I'm an 18 year old gamer who probably games too much for his own good. I'm also an internet addict, and a musician. Chances are I'm on on GS and gaming right now.
