My Predictions for Next Nintendo Game Boy + Comparing DSi With My Predictions!

Okay, first off I'm very impressed with the new version of the Nintendo DS. The DSi seems slick with the built-in camera and the SD card slot for downloadable content. So in this case, here are some of my predictions for the next-gen GameBoy handheld and see if my predictions compare with the announced Nintendo DSi:

Touch screen control (DSi has it)

Widecreen format (the aspect ratio for the DSi is the same, hey at least it's a little bigger than the DS Lite)

Headphone Jack and/or Mic (Yep, the DSi has something like that, I think)

Motion Sensing controls (tilt the handheld) (Not sure DSi has this yet, but the Apple iPhone does for some of their apps)

Dual Joystick (we still haven't seen a nintendo portable with analog sticks)

Changable buttons (great for lefties) (The DS works for leftys and rightys, but no changable buttons)

Downloadable content (we know the DSi can use this feature, but it would be cool if you can download original Game Boy games for the handheld! They would call the feature "Virtual Portable" or something like that.)

Memory Format: SD and Flash Memory (Yay! My prediction came true! Let's hope the memory format for the DSi is way better than the Wii.)

Camera (my prediction here suggested that you would have to add a camera pack on the USB port, but after hearing the DSi's camera would be built in, I thought "nice move Nintendo")

Internet (built in was my prediction and the DSi's feature seems better than the internet browser you had to purchase for the DS and DS Lite)

Media (I don't think Nintendo said anything about music and video inputted onto the DSi, but photos seems a no brainer for the camera add-on)

Shop (I knew Nintendo would allow us to purchase stuff on a handheld, Way to go Ninty!)

Icon/Avatar: I think the DSi has something like this, correct me if I'm wrong, okay

Online mode: I think we should use our MyNintendo accounts as our username for a future handheld and console and you can check your stats on Nintendo's web page rather than using friend codes which is a pain for everyone playing Nintendo games online.

Players: up to 32 LAN or WIFI (I still think the DSi holds 16 players, but it would be cool if the latest DS system can handle twice as many players on online sessions!)

handheld updates (It would be cool if the next gameboy handheld would use this feature, but I don't think the DSi has such a thing. I hope the DSi uses firmware updates to better improve the handheld...)

-------------------

So, what do you think about my next-gen predictions for the next Game Boy handheld? And what are your thoughts about the comparisons between my predictions and the DSi's features? Let me know, okay?

BTW, there's still time for anyone to play my monthly game (previous blog), so cast your vote and I will eventually post a results blog for my Aug/Sept monthly game.

Other than that, See Ya!

6h05tly's Aug Sept 2008 Blog (Text Only)

Hey everyone, 6h05tly here. Well, once again another boring-looking blog since I can't seem to add/upload any of my images from my phootbucket account *sigh*

MY THOUGHTS FOR AUGUST AND SEPTEMBER 2008

For August, it was my last month of pure freedom before I returned to the good ol' Campus. I downloaded a few stuff via my Xbox 360 and finally created a gamertag. I tried out Too Human (the demo) and I don't get why many critics are bashing this game. Sure the gameplay is far-fetched, but I liked the idea of leveling up while kicking the pants out of my foes. I also read ahead for my Humanities, worked on my homemade comic for my cousin (UsurperZant804, who posted a blog of not being on GS due to the lack of being active), and celebrated my mom's and cousin's birthday (same day, wierd ) All in all, great month.

For September, back to school. This would be my fourth year in college (another 2 or 3 years left, GOD, I just wanna graduate already!!! ) and from my schedule for the Fall semester, I've finally got Creative Writing, which I've realized it is HARD. My least fave class for this semester is Into to Literary Studies. I mean the teacher blabs and blabs about the understanding of various types of literature and the papers we have to do for that class are a different story. He's a good teach but I mostly draw while listening to what he has to say about certain stories we have to read (and the text is over 1200 pages long, sigh) Other than my hardships for my forthcoming year, I'm gonna enjoy my cl.a.s.s.e.s whether or not how boring or difficult they are

--------------------

Okay, where was I? Ah yes, my monthly blog.

I think I'm the only one from the monthly blog union who denied the member card feature since the union evolved from night to day. The main reason why I denied this (and to my monthly bloggers, PLEASE READ) was because I just don't have the time to use such a new feature due to my time studying and what-have-you. But if my time changes in the near future, I may (not now, but later) decide to join in on the bandwagon of The Montlhy Blog Union's evolution of monthly blogging. So in this case, my monthly blogs will be primitive (just like the 6h05t, lol).

And with that, here we go...

NEW GAMES

Castlevania: SotN (XBLA) (aug)

Marble Blast Ultra (XBLA) (aug)

Too Human (XB Demo) (aug)

Oddworld Stranger's Wrath (XB) (sept) (still haven't played it yet, sigh)

Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge (GBA) (sept)

--------------------

--------------------

Smallville S8 premiere: 7.5 out of 10

----------------------

-----------------------

NEW ISSUES

Xbox Magazine (Guitar Hero, Gears of War 2)

------------------------

THIS MONTH'S GAME: "ARE YOU ON THE LIST" CONTEST (HEROES EDITION)

Who are my Top 3 characters from the TV Show Heroes? Here's how the game works:

Choose 3 out of the list of heroes/villains and either place them in any order or rank them as 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. Here is how the point score works:

1st Place: 20; 2nd Place: 10; 3rd Place: 5

You can also earn 5 points if you get one of the answers in the top 3 even if it isn't in the right rank, for example:

If you places 1st: D, 2nd: A, 3rd: C; and my answer would be 1st: A, 2nd: B, 3rd: C, you will earn 5 points for A (since it is part of my answer but not at the correct rank) but for C (since it is in the right rank), not only will you earn the points (5) for where it is ranked, but you will also earn extra points (5) all due to being it placed on the top 3!!

So the maximum total for this game is 50 points (I think)!

Anyway, here are the entries:

Nathan (Fly-Man), Matt (Mind reader), Hiro (Time-traveler), Elle (shock blaster), Sylar (ability-snatching villain), Peter (the absorber), and Ted (radioactive man)

BE SURE TO POST YOUR ANSWERS ON THIS BLOG AND I WILL WORK ON A RESULTS BLOG SOMETIME BY THE END OF THIS WEEK OR NEXT WEEK. GOOD LUCK!!

-----------------

I guess that's my monthly blog (boring, wall of text). I'll be sure to figure out this image problem pretty soon

SEE YA!!

Are you a Hero or a Villain (Heroes S3 Edition) + Announcement

How long has it been since I've been gone?! Even the 6h05t can't tell time...

Hey everyone. Yep it has been a while since I've last logged in. First of all, my deepest apologies to everyone from the Monthly Blog Union. Recently I denied the Member card which has to do with something with your achievments or something (correct me if I'm wrong my monthly blog brethren). More on that later, but first...

HEROES SEASON 3 WAS AWESOME!!!!!!

Yep, from 8 to 11pm was not only the longest premiere I've ever watched for a series, but it is the best season premiere I've ever watched in a series. Much better than the season 8 premiere episode of Smallville (the plot was predictable whereas Heroes is shrouded in mystery with every new episode each week).

I give it a 9 out of 10. Total ownage (except I had to sacrifice watching Terminator The Sarah Connor Chronicles last night, sigh...)

So which comes to the question: Are you a Hero or a Villain? For me, a little of both

OH YEAH, THE ANNOUNCEMENT!

I will be able to work on my forthcoming monthly blog, but in the form of text. I don't have any time to add any images (and photobucket is messing up on me lately ) due to my classes. And even at home I won't be able to because my uncle's computer can't reach the internet cords (could this affect me updating my XBL progress and DL'ing new games on the 360?).

Anyway on the monthly blog, I will merge my August progress with my September progress (kinda like what Heroes did for Season 3's 3 hour event last night). Yeah, it will be boring reading a wall of text, but like I said, I just don't have the time to add images and some issues with photobucket.

And I will bring back my monthly games that I'm very-well credited from viewers like you. I can't say much about this month's game, but you won't be dissapointed (except the blog being text-only, sheesh )

So until then, See Ya!

The 6h05t Returns + Some Things

Well, I'm back after a week of returning school.

I have four courses this semester, and they are: creative writing (about time I get this c.la.s.s.), intro to literary studies, printmaking, and Humanities I.

On my previous blog I mentioned that my grandmother passed away. I later found out it was my Great-grandmother. I only met her a few times, she was in her 90's when she walked on. I wish I spent more time with her, but back then I was just a kid when I first met my great-grandma. I will remember her always (a moment of silent from the 6h05t).

The strangest thing happened a few days ago. I went to the Monthly blog union to inform my fellow monthly bloggers that I wouldn't have time to work on the August blog, but will make it up by planning on my September blog later this month. And I got a message that I was "demoted" from that union. When the union's leader (and good friend) Jesus_Knight informed me on this, I was just in confusion on how that happened. I never even resigned or said anything about quitting this union. I check the union's thread frequently. But oh man, it must be glitchspot at work or something.

Like I said in one of my previous blogs, I will only be active on GS if I have no studying. Gotta stay ahead of the game, eh?

And I hope to get my Wii console back online (how long has it been? April?! Sheesh....)

See Ya!

A Lot Happenin': Reasons Why I Haven't Been Around

First of all, I would like to apologize to all of you, especially to Jesus_Knight, for not being on GS for the past few days. There was a lot of things that happened this week that I would like to explain:

Three things happened on wednesday this week: I returned for my fall semester, my one year anniversary as 6h05tly was this week, and sadly my grandmother from my dad's side of the family recently passed away.

I've been a little down for the past few days because of this, which has made me a bit depressed. I've only met her only a few times in my life. One of them took place 7 years ago at one of my uncle's weddings. It was a great week to visit my relatives and the last time I went to Minnesota.

The last time I actually visited my grandmother was over a year ago in my hometown. It was a great three hours and I gave her one of my drawings since I brought my sketchbook with me to show her my artistic works.

I found about her passing right after I returned from my evening class this past wednesday. It will be awhile till I get back on my feet, for now I just need to take a break from blogging and just reflecting on my times with my late grandmother.

For the August monthly blog that I promised to Monthly Blog Union leader Jesus_Knight and the rest of the monthly bloggers: I won't be able to work on my August blog, but I will make it up by creating a September monthly blog.

For liner notes if I did work on my August blog:

Not much for games, just MGS The Twin Snakes, SotN via Xbox Live Arcade, Oddworld Stranger's Wrath, and a few others.

Not much gaming progress either. I would also add achievments for the first time on my monthly blogs, but Photobucket won't let me upload any of my images to my account.

Once again, I'm very sorry to those who were expected to see my latest monthly blog.

See Ya (in a few days, I hope)
