Who Said It? December 22 and an Aussie Christmas

Merry Christmas, everybody! I hope you are enjoying the holiday season. I'm not feeling very good today, so I'm going to keep this short. I've felt woozy most of the day. I probably just need more sleep. Today's quote comes from a current show. Who said:
"I almost ordered a Russian bride once. You know, a Czech-mate."
? If you have a guess you can send it to me in a PM or give it in your comment below. Thanks for leaving a comment.
Congratulations to BuskieBoy, AprilFox, and millerem99 , who knew that Niles of Frasier said of his late gardner"He had a heart attack when he was out trimming Maris's elaborate hedge maze. The paramedics never had a chance."
Christmas Video: Take a break and enjoy Alvin and the Chipmunks perform The Chipmunk Song (Christmas, Don't Be Late). This video is from the original TV show. This song was very popular when it was released in 1958. According to Wikipedia, It reached number 1 on the Billboard Top 100. It won three Grammys that year: Best comedy performance, Best children's recording, and Best engineered record. If you must, you could check out the 2007 version, created about the time of the recent Chipmunk movie.

Solstice: Today is Winter Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere. It is the shortest "day" of the year, meaning it gets dark the earliest. We can look forward to longer days from now on. In the Southern Hemisphere this is Summer Solstice. There used to be a few friends around here from Australia, but I haven't seen them around in a while. A friend from another forum recently posted the following alternate lyrics to Jingle Bells:
Aussie Jingle Bells
Dashing through the bush, in a rusty Holden ute;
Kicking up the dust, esky in the boot.
Kelpie by my side, singing Christmas songs,
It's summer time and I am in my singlet, shorts and thongs
Chorus:
O Jingle bells, Jingle bells, Jingle all the way,
Christmas in Australia on a scorching summer day
Jingle bells, Jingle bells, Christmas time is beaut
O what fun it is to ride a rusty Holden ute.
Engines getting hot, you dodge the kangaroos,
Swaggie climbs aboard, he is welcome too.
All the family's there, sitting by the pool;
Christmas in the Aussie way, by the Barbecue.
Chorus....
O come the afternoon, Grandpa has a doze,
The kids and uncle Bruce, swimming in their clothes;
Til time comes round to go, we take the family snap,
and pack the car and all shoot through before the washing up.
Chorus.....
Translations: Holden - Australian subsidiary of General Motors; Ute – Utility vehicle; Esky – brand of cooler, Boot – trunk; Kelpie – breed of dog, Singlet – sleeveless shirt; Swaggie – swagman, or tramp. That's all I have translations for.

It's Late
Well, not a lot to right about. It's late and I just wanted to say hello to those of you who may have been wondering where I have been, especially Indianamom.
Only thing going on right now is work. That's pretty boring isn't it? Oh well. Anyway, bye for now.
