the starts out strong but the story just gets really stupid towards the end of the game and half of the stuff you do in the game is not as fun as it was towards the start of the game, in my opinion, Prototype is a big let down towards the end and it makes you wonder if the game is not a big Spider-Man: Web Of Shadows rip-off.

Well it's been awhile I've been working alot (which is a good thing) and had little time for Gamespot and playing games (which is a VERY bad thing 
). Anyway I just got the code for the Brutal Legend Demo for my pre-order from GameStop
and played through it last night. Simply put this game is going to be alot of fun. Jack Black is great and Tim Schafer's quirky story looks like it'll lend itself to some pretty cool gameplay moments. Don't want to ruin it for anyone so I won't give any specifics but I enjoyed the demo.
The next few months are going to be interesting for me in terms of gaming. There are alot of games I'm wanting Oct.-Dec. so I guess my overtime at work will payoff after all 
. Here's the list in order of how much of a "must have" each game is. I'm just doing Oct.-Dec. 2010 is a whole other list I'll hopefully do later.
The rest of '09 looks pretty awesome to me even though alot of games have been delayed 'til '10. That might be for the best
though, at least for my wallet! Good thing my b'day and Christmas fall in this time frame 
. Anyway here are the games that top
my list for Oct.-Dec. '09.
1. Dragon Age: Origins - Easily takes the top spot. Huge RPG by BioWare + top notch voice talent = win!
2. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - This is shaping up to be even better than the first. Unbelievable!
3. Darksiders - Joe Madureira art and story plus alot of very positive hands-on previews makes this a must have for me.
4. Borderlands - This game just looks like alot of fun to me. So many guns, tons of loot, the 4 player co-op....ect.
5. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves - Loved the first one (just wish it had been longer) and they added multiplayer, looks awesome.
6. Assassin's Creed II - Looks more diverse than the original and I liked it so....
7. Brutal Legend - Jack Black and killer track list this game just looks like a good time to me.
8. Alpha Protocol - I love the Spy RPG angle on this one.
9. Rogue Warrior - Just found this one recently. Based on a real life Navy Seal Richard Marcinko (the story is fiction).
Mickey Rourke is doing the voice work. This tactical shooter looks promising.
10. God of War Collection - Ok so it's not a new game but I'm really psyched for I & 2 in HD on Bluray, can't wait.
Well the rest of this year is pretty full for me and 2010 looks even better. I'll try to do another list on next years games soon.
I've also been trying to (frugally) add to my Bluray collection. I picked up The Mummy and The Mummy Returns for about $27.00
new for both. So far the most I've paid for a single Bluray movie is $20 (for Iron Man). Heck I've gotta have money for games .

Can anyone here say that they do not get annoyed and/or angry whenever someone not only goes against your opinion, but they make it a point to belittle you because of it? I'm not talking about my method, which consists of me attacking your opinion's foundation and pointing out it's contradiction... if you get angry at that, that's probably just you fearing that I may be right. The type of thing I'm talking about is someone truly looking down at you as a human being. If anyone can say that it doesn't bother them at all when someone does that, I have a television I'd love to throw you in. Because quite frankly, I don't believe that.
Looking down on someone is a fundamental flaw, regardless of who they are. I may blatantly look down on your opinion(s) for whatever well-backed reason, but unlike some, I completely separate your opinion from how you treat me outside of arguments/debates. In other words, your personality alone is what I go by. There are some that either take debates too far and avoid you or they give off "signs" that they think you're unworthy to speak to. These types of people are a huge irritation to me. It doesn't matter what ****you are, how much money you have, what type of gamer you are, or even how extreme your opinions are. You don't compare or treat that individual like dirt because of differences. By that logic, we could essentially flip the situation around, and if that individual hates the feeling, he's a walking contradiction and we all should know how much I hate blind contradictions. If I ever find someone looking down on me or my friends, I will not leave the situation unscathed for that person.
Another thing that angers...well...annoys most of us (with good friends), would be keeping vital pieces of information from each other. The real reason good friendships die is because people have the tendency to take the coward's way out and not communicate what their problem is with said friend. That's right, I went there.
As someone who has taken many blows from situations where friends would keep their animosity for me tucked in their hearts, I do not appreciate the concept of keeping things inside of you like that. It is perhaps the reason why I am dubbed "loud" online and "honest" in real life. I don't like to keep grudges, and I don't like people keeping them on me. Something that could easily be fixed just by explaining what's wrong and working it out becomes to complex to ever save the relationship. If you're one of those people who are holding grudges instead of working/fighting them out, then I am sorry but:
You do not have the right to ignore/hurt/insult the other person if they don't know why you're doing so.
Don't you see, by you not simply talking, you yourself make the situation worse. And if you value that friendship, I would hope you would want that friendship to be the best that it can be. And keeping crap in is certainly not the pathway to do that. Especially if you're going to be a jerk about it. In fact, I could easily go as far as to say that you yourself are on equal footing as the person you're holding a grudge against. Sure that person did something that angered/annoyed you to the point you can't treat him/her with the same kindness you give others, but, if you too are now providing tension in the relationship, explain to me how you're any better in any sort of way? I've lost so many friends and so many potentially great friendships and it stings. Horribly. Almost as much as anyone who doesn't put an asterisk on their post so I know they didn't skim through my blog. And yes, I apologize beforehand for those who feel annoyed at me putting tricks on my blog, but hey, I would like to know who's skimming and who's not. In any case, I can assure you that if you have a problem with a friend and don't fix it, it WILL get worse and that bond will most likely shatter during the worst time. Just talk to that person. Especially if it's me (of course!). If that person values you as a friend, they'll try and work it out. And that my friends, is the first and only "nice" rant you'll receive from me.

Persona 4: I am at the part in the steaming bathhouse to save kanji. I love that there is save points are everywhere and that social links with you partners now affect battle. Misfit better make another FAQ for persona 4. Come on man stop being so lazy.
Fallout 3: I kind of borrowed it from a friend for like 3 weeks in November and I finally decided to give it back. Extremely addictive and awesome.
Dead Space: resident evil 4 IN SPACE (plus awesome tweaks). Like the ability to move and shoot at the same time and switching weapons in real time. I love the atmosphere of the game. Some people say that is copying stuff from Alien and Event Horizon but I really don't care. If you're going to copy(or be influenced from) a movie with aliens in space might as well copy from the best.
A new Xbox Controller: Yay. It's black and my 1 and a half-year brother likes to steal it.

A couple days ago I was invited to some kind of film festival. I forgot the name but I saw some previews for some awesome movies coming out next year. By the looks of it next year is going to be an awesome year for animation.

I saw the first 45 minutes. It was not completely finished some parts were still in storyboard. Wow. If Pixar does this right it could be one of there top films. The first ten minutes of this movie were depressing. I mean people were crying in the movie theater and this was just storyboard. I won't delve into the plot though typing it will make me feel stupid because it is absolutely crazy but it somehow works.

Oh Hells yeah. I watched the first 20 minutes. ZOMG. It was awesome. They copied some of the angles of the comic book to even make them more alike. My only complaint is that in 20 minutes they're only on page 13. So there might be a director's cut with like 2 hours of extra footage. Which would suck. They also said the ending would not be the *thing*. It would be bigger. Which could either be awesome or suck.

A movie by Tim Burton. I only saw the first 15 minutes and it was pretty good(not enough time to give an opinion on it). Their using CG but there trying to make it look like claymation. Whih is really cool.

Before the year started 2008 was touted as "The Year of The PS3". Even Gamespot touted it. As did media sources and fanboy's alike.
But now only 4 weeks until the end of the year we enter a interesting period for you stat lovers.
After the PS3 price cut and the release of MGS4 in June the PS3 was in front and chasing back the 6.5m gap the 360 started the year with. At this point for the first 7 months of the year the PS3 had sold 1m more units then the 360. The gap was getting closer and closer. The prophecies of the year of the PS3 seemed to be true. But since July the 360 started to fight back as the PS3 price cut and MGS4 sales started to fade. Sales for the next 3 months where neck and neck. But then came the 360 price cut in September. And with that PS3 sales nosedived and 360 sales went to almost Wii like levels. The 1.4m gap the PS3 had at September had been brought down to just 250k as of today. With the numbers the 360 is posting and the low numbers the PS3 is posting would lead you to believe that as the clock striked 12 on the 1st of Jan 2009 the 360 will have sold more consoles for 2008 then the PS3. Something that looked very unlikely in July.
But this isn't the only interesting stat. There is possibly a bigger stat that has gone un-noticed or not told by various media outlets such as Gamespot.
If the 360 sells just 300k more units then the PS3 which looks very probable it will mean the 360 will have it's biggest gap against the PS3 in this generation. You would think that gap record would be the almost year head start the 360 had over the PS3 but you would be wrong. The biggest gap was actually 7m units worldwide just before holiday period 2007. So if these numbers happen which looks very likely will mean that with the PS3 now in it's third year it will find itself the furthest behind it has ever been.
That is pretty grim reading for Sony as would mean their paid exclusives such as Metal Gear Solid 4, LittleBigPlanet and Resistance have had zero effect on catching the 360.
The other problem is right now that gap will get bigger simply because the momentum going into 2009 is now with the 360. Sony has to not only stop the 360 outselling it but then start to bridge the gap between the two giants. Will a $50 price cut in March really be enough to stop these major high sales of the 360?
Time will tell.
But what we can say for sure is "The Year Of The PS3", failed to happen. It was the same story as the previous 2 years. The Wii selling like it was oil and the 360 many millions behind that with the PS3 bringing up the rear once again. Is this the pattern for this generation or will 2009 be the year of the PS3? With no GTA4, No MGS4, No LBP and no Resistance 2. With Gran Turismo now looking likely it won't make it in 2009 will KillZone 2 really do better then 2008's games? Think we have to say that is pretty unlikely. But if one company can rise to the challenge it is Sony!
