The Desctruction of Music/ The Decline in Music sales
The Decline is music sales, what do you think has caused this, P2P Networks, Cd Burners?
as we all know the music industry was booming in the late 80's early 90's it was at its peak, yet another but if we look back on music from that era bands such as iron maiden, Judas priest, Twisted Sister, Manowar, W.A.S.P., Cindy Lauper, Billy Idol, Annie Lennox to name a few, these are some of the many artists from that era who today we still have not forgotten and then we look to the late 90's we had artists like the backstreet boys, Ash, Eifal 69, lou bega, Shaggy, S Club 7 etc, if you bought those cd's we are they now sitting in your cd rack with a large amount of dust and with a case that bearly holds together, you might let your children play frisbee with it later, if these artists released another album would you buy it?! Ofcourse you wouldn't the Idol extravaganza has proven this to be correct, their lyrics and musical talent arn't good enough to move you for more than five seconds, Ben lumis the new zealand idol winner of 2004 realesed his debut cd in 2004 it did ok, he realeased a 2005 album this album did not sell more than 1000 copies people are now asking ben lumis who? He was Shortly fired from sony because of poor record sales.
Tv Doesn't help music sales with only showing music of the black culture, on the new zealand music channel a rock/pop etc band will appear every 10-15 songs that are played of the rap/hip hop/r'n'b style and every friday night at 1am theres a metal show that airs for roughly an hour. this is almost dictatorship if not already the industry is pretty much airing music that they think people should listen to, where's all the other styles of music's chances to get aired on tv or the radio!?
our children are being exposed to other cultures which im not saying is bad but what about their culture young children of non-black families no nothing about their culture because they are exposed to new black culture on tv and at school because we should feel sorry for the black people.
i say there needs to be a review on the music we advertise because music has been apart of peoples cultures and lives since the dawn of man, We humanbeings appreciate music that still moves us for years that is why many don't appreciate music with the same lyrics repeated over and over again that is succesful marketing all on its own, we need music that is catchy yet is not lyricaly the same throughtout the song, these songs separate the Very succesful from the one hit wonders your cd rack is full of.

Black Sabbath such a great band they where called "earth" for a short time then they changed their name to black sabbath, many bands nowadays that are influenced by black sabbath are doom metal bands such as sleep, electric wizard and acid king etc.
black sabbath are doom metal and should be recognised as doom metal!

Hard to believe this guy is from america where black metal doesn't have much popularity/demand in the underground music scene.
i first heard judas iscariot on www.blackmetalradio.com and i grabbed a few of his albums and they were well worth the money, if you like burzum you'll most likely love this not saying judas iscariot is anything like burzum because its not!

Inarguably one of heavy death metals most energetic and fast-rising bands, Alternating between high-speed salvos and piledriving grooves, Powerful vocals punch through churning guitar crunch in what is the band's finest work. With great songs like Tampon lollipops which is about a man who likes to suck on tampons (used) ha, grose i know but funny!

Lauded by many as one of the finest extreme bands to come around the pike in the last five years, the trio's primary calling card is the fact that they are a band without a bass player, just guitarist/producer Scott Hull, vocalist/lyricist J.R. Hayes, and drummer John Evans. With Hull's powerful riffs that fused both hardcore and metal influences, the trio made a splash with their 2001 album, Prowler in the Yard, which combined the chaotic, cacophonous characteristics of grind with a real sense of theatricality that would make Alice Cooper proud. If the music wasn't enough to unsettle listeners, the lyrical content, which bordered on truly demented
