Hey everyone,
I hope you all had a great Christmas (or any other Holiday that you might celebrate).
Mine Christmas was real fun; spending time with my family usually is. We officially had a white Christmas this year; the previous one was in 1981 (I wasn't even born then ) So I was already happy with my White Christmas. Did any of you also had one?
Everyone was really happy with their gifts, me included. We (my brother, father and me) especially decided to spoil my mother, because she's always there for us when we need her. Here's a pic with all the presents that I got:

How was your Christmas, leave me a comment and let me know ![]()

...It's off to work I go!!
Tomorrow is my first day back at work after about 9 years!
I'm so excited but a little nervous at the same time.
I'm going to work with my husband for a couple of months just doing some odd jobs at his office.
Wish me luck. ![]()
Also, I finally watched the latest NCIS episode today. I really enjoyed getting to know Vance a little better, even though this episode opened up a whole new can of worms where he is concerned.
*hugs everyone*
Are you a true believer?

If you are not a fangirl you probably just should move along.
So I've been seriously absent lately. I'm sorry, I just cannot get used to the new look. It makes my eyes hurt, and all the features I got along with so well are gone.
I have missed my friends of the AEA. Ela, Viktor, how have you two been? Any more singing in public? I haven't had any really embarrassing situations, but I have gotten myself a vocal coach. There has been singing, but no practicing of evil laughter. I know, I'm slipping... Oh, song in my head now.
I've been driving... Actually driving a car for the last couple of weeks. I've had a couple of lessons, and so far things have been going pretty well. So yay for that!
I have, however, been in a weird funk lately. Things at home are messy and uncomfortable, and there is not a day that goes by without fighting of some kind. Since home is my little place to recharge, to relax, this has been taking away the little energy I have after dealing with several seriously tiring people. Honestly, what do you do if someone doesn't talk to you in weeks, then you talk to him once and he suddenly texts you and thinks you're friends (again)? I am just so tired of figuring it out. Just choose already! Friends, acquaintance, strangers. Just pick one because I'm losing it trying to figure it out what I am to him this week. Tiring! Also, my sister is in the superficial faze, and it's getting annoying. She has to have all the things her friends have, has to do the same things they do, and God forbid she'd leave the house without make-up or with one hair out of place. I just don't understand her anymore, and that leads to even more fighting.
My shows have been keeping me happy, together with a nice visit to my uncle and aunt (and 13-year-old cousin), and some friends who actually make me laugh.
So, altogether, I'm confused and just very blegh. I'm hoping the funk will stop and I'll be able to be on here more. I've missed hanging out here, like the old days... *wink*
I'm just watching the Nelson Mandela 46664 concert, and even though I'm usually not interested in blogging whatsoever, I felt the need to say that this is absolutely awesome.
Well, I don't dislike many musicians as much as Amy Winehouse (she's performing or whatever that is right now, that's why I mention it), I still love this in general. I'd so much like to be in London right now. I was 2 when the last concert took place, so no chance of having witnessed that atmosphere, and remembering it. But what I feel when I see this is indescribable. Freedom, Thankfulness, Joy, Sadness...
Nelson Mandela is not really the youngest anymore, and you can see that, but still, seeing him and that way somehow actually witnessing what this man and others like him experienced and tried to give to the world... Marvelous!!!
It's the 30th of April again so Holland turns itself in Orange and acts weird ![]()
WHY ??
Our Queen celebrates her birthday today!
Okay for those of you who will do a search for her on the net. It's not her actual birthday. That's on January 31. Her mother Juliana's birthday though was today and when Beatrix became Queen in 1980 she just kept that date to honor her mother. The weatherchances are better too. Besides one of the familymembers, Mr. Pieter van Vollenhoven, is having his birthday today so... who cares he doesn't, he just joins the fun.
To give you an impression of what the country looks like just take a look

The little ones pimp their bikes aswell, the best pimped bike will win a price.

Trafficjams in the canals of Amsterdam. Just make sure that you're seen at the scene !
As you can see we're acting weird. But don't worry it's just one day a year and we have lots of fun.
Even the Royal Family had fun today while visiting Franeker and Makkum.
Both those places showed themselfs to the 'world' live on tv all morning.
And to finish the day in perfect order you could always
get yourself one of these.
On every other day their color will be pink.
But just for today it's orange.
You still don't understand why Holland loves orange so much?
Let me explain:
Our Royal Family's name is Of Orange-Nassau.
Named after two small counties that used to be owned by the family.
I don't do blogs, mostly because I can never think of anything interesting to say!! However, today I had a thought to myself and I'm sure a lot of folks have thought it too:
"If the writers strike hadn't happened would I have bothered watching shows that I had not noticed before?"
Take for instance, Thursday nights, usually a peach for my favourite shows, and none of them are on, I flick through the sky box and land on Grey's Anatomy. Now I have seen clips for this show and I see how cute "McDreamy" is and all but it just doesn't appeal to me, but I stick with it because there is nothing better on. 60 mins later and I am logging onto amazon to update my rentals list, Grey's anatomy season 1 and 2 here we come! I'll admit, it's now one of my many favourites!!
So what do you guys think? Obviously it was not good for the people that were unemployed during the strike but could it perhaps have been a good thing for tv fans?
This could be a massive debate but what I'm looking for are people like me that used it as an opportunity to find new shows! So anyone who found a show that they had dismissed when it first aired then secretly fell in love with during the strike, get in touch, maybe we could find even more gems!!
