Kinda old news, but..........

I just wanted to make a blog to congratulate Mrs. Ashlee Simpson-Wentz on her marriage to Pete Wentz (who I love, so she did good), and on her pregnancy!

On May 28th, Pete confirmed on Fall Out Boy's website that he and Ash are expecting their first child. Don't know when she's due or anything. But I'll keep you posted!

I'll make another blog later reviewing her new CD, Bittersweet World.

And also, Happy July 4th! I'm just hanging out with my mom, brother, and her friends. And the Arch Angels.

Gotta go have some American food now!

Hasta.

More than a name or a face in the crowd, this is the time of my life!

-the new American Idol's (David Cook) first single! It's currently the #1 most downloaded song on iTunes. And I decided to put it as the closing song on my graduation slideshow, since it reflects my journey up until graduation.

I'm going to review all of Archie's studio singles/performances. I'm listening to him on my iPod right now, so I thought it's be a good thing to do:

1. "Shop Around" (during top 24): One of the only upbeat songs among the bunch. This one gets played a lot since I like seeing Archie's fun side.

2. "Imagine" (during top 20): this is such an inspiring song. Archie does a good job with it. This is the song he chose to reprise for the finale. Both the crowd and the judges loved it.

3. "Another Day in Paradise" (during top 16): One of the two songs he also plays piano for. This is kind of a sad song, but it's pretty. And I love Archie's rendition of it.

4. "We Can Work It Out" (top 12: Lennon/McCartney songbook): another upbeat song (I think there's 3 in all). I love when Archie does upbeat songs, since he always has fun doing them.

5. "The Long and Winding Road" (top 11: The Beatles): I sang this song in choir last year, so I was excited that Archie was singing it. He does another stellar job with it.

6. "You're the Voice" (top 10: The Year You Were Born- 1990 for Archie): I was wrong, there are 4 upbeat songs in the mix. This is a 90's song I hadn't heard of before Archie sang it. Not my favorite performance of his. He did okay with it.

7. "Smoky Mountain Memories" (top 9: Dolly Parton): I chose this song to be on my graduation party slideshow, at the suggestion of a fellow Arch Angel, Jenny. This is a beautiful song and it does sorta fit the fact that I am graduating. Archie did a great job with it.

8. "Angels" (top 8: inspirational songs): the other song he plays piano for. This song is my favorite out of all the ones he sang. He did an amazing job with both singing and playing the piano. I have a picture of him singing and playing the piano during the week he sang it that I always keep with me. It's my absolute favorite picture of him.

9. "When You Believe" (top 7: Mariah Carey): Another inspirational song that about makes me cry. I really should listen to this song when I'm starting to lose hope. Which is kinda starting to happen again. Archie once again does a good job with it.

10. "Think of Me" (top 6: Andrew Lloyd Weber musicals): This is normally a song that a girl sings (it's sung by Christine, the leading lady in Phantom of the Opera), but Archie turned it into a pop ballad that works for me.

11. "Sweet Caroline" (top 5: Neil Diamond): Watch out America, Fun Archie's back! This song gets played a lot too. It's cute, fun, and upbeat, and during the 8th inning of the Red Sox's home games, they play this song and all the fans sing along. Starting with the top 5, each contestant sings at least 2 songs (if not 3), but they only choose one to be on iTunes. Archie also sang "America" but chose "Sweet Caroline" to be the studio single.

12. "Love Me Tender" (top 4: Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame): I decided that when Archie and I get married, I want him to sing this song to me. It's beautiful and sweet and it shows true love. He also sang "Stand By Me" that week.

13. "Longer" (top 3: Judge's Choice/Contestant's Choice/Producer's Choice): The producers chose this song for Archie. It was a good choice, since it shows off his sweet side. It was a good performance. Judge Paula Abdul chose "And So It Goes" by Billy Joel for Archie, and he chose "With You" by Chris Brown, which made me laugh the whole time, only cuz I'd never expect David Archuleta to sing Chris Brown.

14. "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me" (finale: Clive Davis's choice/songs entered in the American Idol Songwriter Contest/Contestant's choice): Clive Davis chose this song for him to sing. It's a beautiful song and Archie did a great job with it. I will NEVER let the sun go down on my little angel.

15. "In This Moment" (finale): this was the song from the AI Songwriter Competition that Archie chose. It's a beautiful song that should have won the contest. Archie smoked Cook that round (even tho I also liked Cook's choice, "Dream Big").

16. "Imagine" (finale): Archie chose to reprise this song for the finale. And once again, he did a good job with it.

Sorry if I sound biased, but he's truly an amazing singer. He's my angel that saved me from doing bad things to myself. Instead of doing those things, I listen to him.

Well, I'm going to bed.

Hasta.

Man, you sure can play, and I've had that song in my head all day!

This is an artist I am recommending to Spartan. She's a newcoming country artist and she's beautiful. Her name is Julianne Hough. She got started as one of the professional dancers on Dancing With The Stars, and she won two back-to-back seasons, but got partnered up with a sucky guy this time (Adam Carolla). They were the 4th couple eliminated.

Her first album (self-titled), came out May 20th, and I bought it off iTunes last night. I will tell what I like about each song.

1. "That Song in My Head" (the one in my title): this is a cute love story song. I will let you know when I buy the video!

2. "You, You, You": Another story about falling in love. Slower than the first song, but still cute.

3. "Hide Your Matches": a nice ballad. Kind of sad tho.

4. "Jimmy Ray McGee": I like the story of this song. It's my second favorite, after "That Song in My Head".

5. "About Life": another upbeat song that has a bit of a rock feel to it. Catchy and fun.

6. "Hello": also has a rock feel to it. It's a girl power song.

7. "Help Me, Help You": it's a sad and pretty song. It almost makes me cry.

8. "Love Yourself": cute and an interesting rhythm.

9. "I'd Just Be With You": pretty love song.

10. "My Hallelujah Song": I really like it, and now that I've heard it, I wish I hadn't already chosen the closing song of my graduation slideshow. And this was the "Single of the Week" on iTunes. This one will probably get played a lot on my iPod.

I updated my profile as I was writing this......I hope you like it!

Hasta.

I've been depressed for nearly a week now!

As most of you probably know by now, David Cook is the winner of American Idol 2008. I was up until 2:00 am watching it (I had to tape both nights of it because I had stuff going on both nights). When they announced that Cook was the winner, I started crying my eyes out (and luckily it was 2:00 am, so nobody saw or heard me). And I'll tell you why:

I was rooting for my little angel, David "Archie" Archuleta. He deserved to win. He's got a good head on his shoulders, has the voice of an angel and a heart of gold. He's absolutely perfect.

So I wore all black the next day, and continued to wear shirts that had black in them up to today.

The only people who have been truly supportive are my fellow Arch Angels, my church friends and my choir director. My choir director said that everyone felt bad for me since they all know how devoted a fan I was.

But the upside to this is this: Cook is now trapped doing a pop album, which is not him at all (he's a rocker), so his first album will most likely flop and he'll be dropped from his record label. Archie's the runner-up, so he's free to do what he wants. He's already been signed to a million-dollar recording contract with Jive Records. So the Arch Angels will get their revenge. *stirs imaginary pot and laughs maniacally*.

Enough about that, let's talk about what I've been up to:

I am officially a 2008 graduate! I am done with high school forever! I'm not doing too much this summer: just working, taking driver's ed, and hopefully going to the American Idols Live Tour in Rosemont, IL! So I will get to be in the same room as Archie and also Carly Smithson! Yay!

That's it for now.

Hasta.
