What a song. It appears on the soundtrack to the Jarhead movie, which I saw recently, and made a big impression on me there. It has just the right calm and tranquil atmosphere, and was particularly suitable for that part of the movie. I really didn't recognise it was by Nirvana in the first place, but then, who else has this style, it should be impossible to mistake it. The lyrics are deep and beautiful and make you contemplate on them, at first someone may think "what the.." but, oh well, you listen to the great music then.

This is a pretty good album by Guano Apes, or at least something pleasant to listen to while doing nothing. Their vocalist has one of the most particular voices imaginable, once you hear her, you could never mistake her with another. They are melodic, and don't tire you even if you listen the album for a long time, sometimes that happens to me when I listen to other bands. My favourite songs from it are Sugar Skin, You Can't Stop Me, and perhaps Dick. But, apart from that, the album is not anything exceptional, and even if it is probably my favourite Guano Apes album, I don't really enjoy some of the songs, they are quite repetitive. But overall, it is decent indeed.

In my opinion the best A Perfect Circle album. The songs in it are just so gentle and beautiful, and captivating. They really don't have in them the typical hard rock features, but that is nicely compensated by Maynard. My personal favourites are The Outsider (an all-time favourite, with a great video that has nothing to do with the song at first glance, but then you realise it's not that far away), Weak and Powerless and The Package. I don't really like The Nurse Who Loved Me, and Lullaby is just a weaker copy of Pet, which is a very powerful song. Overall, I think this album is less dark than Mer De Noms, but with more beautiful vocals and more influential.

Mer De Noms is quite good, but not the best thing you will ever hear from A Perfect Circle. It has, although, some very powerful songs like Magdalena, Rose and Orestes, but maybe it is a bit repetitive in itself. The lyrics are great, you could find something to contemplate on in every single song. Overall, it is great, but don't really know why people prefer it over Thirteenth Step.

No, this is not just the next alternative metal album. Personally, on the first hearing it really didn't make an impression on me, but then as I listened more and more it began to sound different to me. Really. I can't really compare it to Take a Look in the Mirror now, which I think is my favourite Korn album, but it's good nevertheless. My favourite songs up till now are Seen It All (an absolute favourite), Liar, Souvenir and Hypocrites. Though all of them should be heard, and don't be disappointed if you don't like it at first.
