Never Order Online When You're About to Take A Trip!
I guess I'm learning my lesson the hard way.
Without thinking, I ordered a few things online two weeks ago, without remembering that in July I'm supposed to take a few weeks vacation!
So, I sent my check,(because I don't trust giving credit card numbers over the web)...And then, out of the blue, I remembered! Now I'm just waiting for Amazon to receive the check and ship my orders so that I receive them in time before I leave--or else I'll have to cancel the trip, or just have someone pick up the orders for me--whichever.
Stress kills.

Feels Like Going To A New School
As TvTome is preparing for it's final 'goodbye' anytime soon, this transition to Tv.com has felt like going to a new school. Ever had that feeling? The nervous, gut-wrenching feeling of going to a new place that you've never been before? Of course you have! Who wouldn't have that feeling?
I'm pretty sad to see TvTome go. I've been there for 2 years. I joined it March 21, 2003. I feel like I'm moving away from home. TvTome was my home. The people on the forums that I chatted with are like family. Sometimes we bickered at each other, felt like tearing each other's throats out. Other times we were all close and defended anyone from our forum that may have been attacked or treated badly by some punk newbie. All of those memories are now fading away, and with TvTome going away too, what else is there?
Sure, I'm not going to miss the moments where the site would be under construction and not work properly for us. Who else agrees? But it's the family atmosphere that will be missed.
I'm not sure that this site, Tv.com, can really capture the family setting.
It all feels weird. Too different.
