March 13th, 2009.
Why, oh why is March 13th SO far away?
The small demo is not enough for me. I need moreeeeeee.
Tales of Symphonia 2.
AKA Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World.
Pretty much one of the best RPG's ever made. Period.
I really can't even begin to go into detail. It's just sooo..... good. ![]()
I'm actually upset that I'm almost done with the game, so I'm trying to play a few random quests I haven't done yet.
JUST SO EVERYONE KNOWS---
You should buy this game if you own a Wii. In fact, you should buy the first one first, then buy this one. They are both basically amazing, incredible, fantastic, awesome games.
Nintendo Wii
The latest consule from Nintendo, the Wii has done nothing but impress me over and over...time and time again.
I really didn't want a Wii, I was leaning more towards a 360 because there was a lot more games I was interested in. But after getting the Wii Christmas Day, I realized how much I really like it. When I first started playing the first game I played was the Wii Sports, Tennis. Being a tennis player, I was amazed at how much it was like playing a game of tennis. Without the actual movement of course. But swinging the Wii-Mote as if it were a racket is what makes the game so entertaining.
Of course I tested out the other Wii Sports avaliable to me. Boxing is extremely tiring, golf is okay, and bowling is like being at the bowling alley. Baseball isn't very amusing to me. But it has it's fun moments. After the first full day of playing with the Wii my arm hurt from swinging so violently with the Wii-Mote while playing tennis. Pathetic right?
I've also got three other games to go along with the Wii. Red Steel, Call of Duty 3, and Splinter Cell Double Agent. All three games use the Wii-Mote AND the knunchuck wii-mote. I must say for awhile I had a tough time using both steadily but I did eventually get the hang of it. Red Steel & Splinter Cell are both amazing games and just really haven't gotten into the Call of Duty 3.
Along with those three games I got for Christmas. I just got Madden '07 for the Wii. I had already owned Madden '07 for Gamecube but wanted to play it with the Wii's features. Which I must say is a pretty amazing experience. Everything about the games the Wii has to offer is something fresh and something new because of the features avaliable. I can't wait to see what new games Nintendo has to offer. I have 2 Wii-Motes and knunchuck controllers so my younger brother and I can play all of these games together. Multiplayers is quite a fun experience on the Wii.
Not only is playing the games the Wii has fun. But creating Miis is also a fun thing to do. I also really enjoy uploading photos and video clips from my digital camera with the SD card. Plus I have online where I can trade Miis with others, check my local weather forecast and news, and browse online with google! Yeah, I can get here on GameSpot with the Wii's online connection. Amazing isn't it?
I'm kind of disappointed that Wii games aren't avaliable for online play with others. I'd like to challenge others to a game of tennis or have a match in Red Steel online as if it were Halo or TimeSplitters. As far as I know there is no games online like that so I'm hoping sometime in the near future we can expect this!
Another amazing thing the Wii has to offer is being able to purchase games from the previous Nintendo systems right there on your Wii. Buying games from N64 all the way to the original Nintendo and original Mario Bros. and Donkey Kong. Plus you can use GameCube controllers and play GameCube games! The Wii can seriously do it all!!
I have no regrets in getting the Wii now. Like I said, at first I had no intentions in getting it. But now, I'm extremely happy I did. I rank Nintendo's Wii a 9/10.
Christmas List of Games
- Dragon Quest Swords
- Red Steel
- Eternal Darkness
- Mario Power Tennis
- Silent Hill 4: The Room
- Tales of the Abyss?Tales of Legendia?
- WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2007
So as you can see; I don't ask for much. I'm even trying to get a few older games like Eternal Darkness and Silent Hill 4 because I need a new survival horror game to play since Resident Evil isn't releasing anything new anytime soon.
The Wii is disappointing me because there's nothing I can really see myself truly wanting that much. However, my younger brother wants a lot so I'll get it too, ya know. So Red Steel and Dragon Quest Swords is all I can see myself playing right now.
I'm also looking for a good multiplayer game (2-4 players) for either GameCube or PS2 aside from the two I already have on my list. I'm not entirely sure if I want all that's listed so a replacement game could be good.
I have no idea which game I want between Tales of Legendia or Tales of the Abyss. What would everyone recommend? I was a huge fan of Tales of Symphonia (which I heard was the best between the three). So which will I be least disappointed with?
Aside from the Christmas list thing; I recently bought Mortal Kombat: Armageddon which is AMAZING. So check out my new review for that game if you would.
-Thanks!
P.S.: Help on deciding between the two Tales games would be greatly appreciated!! =)
The Tales
Well I'm currently addicted to Tales of Symphonia. I'm not that far in it yet, I'm sort of taking my time through it. I'm really, really enjoying. It's seriously one of the best RPG games I've ever played. I know some people can argue with that but I think it's amazing. It's actually better than some of the FF games. Tales of Symphonia is GREAT. It's a must have for any RPG fans.
With that said, I'm kind of disappointed that the FF games turned into online play only. I'm not gonna pay to play online so I don't buy them anymore. I remember always playing some of those FF games. Tactics, 7, 8, 9, 10, 10-2. They were all great games. Too bad there hasn't been anything like that lately.
Another thing that's bothered me lately. There hasn't been to many games that have appealed to me. Maybe it's because I'm growing out of videogames? I don't know... It seems like before I could play just about any game. But oh well. I'm looking into Kingdom Hearts 2. And later this year I can't wait for the new Smackdown! game. I'm also waiting for Mortal Kombat Armageddon and Resident Evil 5.
Oh yeah, and if anyone can help me with finding a good deal on the original Silent Hill game, I'd appreciate it!
