Updating Consoles
Ok, so it's come to my attention that some people fear upodating their consoles. case in point this thread in the Nintendo Wii forums: http://www.gamespot.com/pages/forums/show_msgs.php?topic_id=27059511
so i want to know. how often does anyone update their consoles, be it PS3, Wii, PSP or 360?
for me it's a matter of whenever there's an update i want it. i feel that it's a neccisity to have it. i mean why not have the latest firmware/software updates? why be the one with the out of date firmware? it's just a given that u should update whenever a new patch or firmware update is released.
and not just for the consoles, but the games as well. as there's often times when u stick a game into your machine it updates the game with patches and what not

10 Years Ago Today: Owen Hart Tragically Dies At 34

Today marks the 10 year anniversary of Owen Hart's death. He was the youngest of the 12 children to Helen and Stu Hart
He fell to his death in Kansas City, Missouri on May 23, 1999 during the WWE Over The Edge pay-per-view event when a stunt where he was supposed to be lowered into the ring from the rafters went wrong. Hart fell 78 feet (24 m) into the ring, landing chest-first on the top rope near a corner.
Owen had just celebrated his 34th birthday a couple weeks before, and is survived by his wife and two children.
RIP OWEN! WE WILL NEVER FORGET YOU!
Randomness part II
well, first off, as of yesterday, i've been a member of GS for 5 years, alot longer than some, but not quite as long as others! and i've been a member of another site, which is Mortal Kombat based, for just as long, and i've been a member of e-bay for 7 years. now, if only i could stay at a job that long, LOL!
some interesting things about 2009 that are kinda on a more personal level, about 10 years ago, in November '99, i lost one Grandfather, and 5 years ago, this April, will mark the anniversary of my other Grandpa's passing, so quite alot this year! i'm hoping this year turns out to be better than the last two have been in terms for my family.
