No Deals! this week folks, sorry.

Due to a combination of things, including the lack of decent deals, my working and my not wanting to, there will be no episode of Deals! this week. Sorry if you were looking forward to it. I will probably go over any purchases this Thursday when I do my weekly Space Blog entry. Also next week there may not be any entries at all, some friends are in town for Spring Break and well...you can all imagine how easy it is to lose track of time and...eh...days. Either way there will surely be one this week on Thursday and I look forward to...eh...typing to you all then.

It's That Time Again! Wii vs PS3, COD4 and the Oscars!

Well it is that time of the week again and I'm ready to post my weekly Space Blog. A few things happened this week worth talking about, if you've been keeping up with my posts you'll have an idea already. First off I'll probably give my thoughts on the Academy Awards, that shouldn't last long, then I'll let you guys know how I feel about my most recent purchase Call of Duty 4, after that I'll be getting into the real meat of the blog with another dilemma. So I guess I better get started here.

Lets go bowling!

Like I said first I'll be talking about my thoughts on the Academy Awards or Oscars, which ever you'd like you call it. I can't say I disagree with any of the choices because I really did love There Will Be Blood and No Country For Old Men, so I was content with either winning. Although it does seem like There Will Be Blood got a little ignored, sure Daniel Day Lewis got best actor but that was obvious. I'm talking about the film, it was incredibly good yet received, I think, only one Oscar outside of Best Actor. Although had it received more No Country For Old Men would have probably received less considering they seemed to be competing. Either way I'm pretty happy with the results. Although that isn't, to me, what the best part of the night was. Anybody who watched probably knows already how emotional the Best Song category became. I couldn't have been happier with the results of that, and then Jon Stewart amazed us all and brought Marketa Irglova(forgive me if that is misspelled) back on stage to give her thanks. It was an all around good night.

Falling Slowly

So on to my thought on Call of Duty 4. I must say I am pleased I bought it, if not only because it will be known as Game of the Year by most and it is probably good to have around. On top of that I have been having some serious fun with the multiplayer. I played through the single player way back in November when I rented the game, but I didn't get to spend the time with multiplayer I wish I had. As of now I am level twenty eight, brilliant ranking system by Infinity Ward there, the unlockables are fair and rewarding, they never feel like the higher level players are getting too good or rewards.

Nintedo Revolution...remember that?

Now on to the most important part of this post, what system should I buy next? The choices are Wii and PS3, I already own a 360. Originally I was planning on a Wii because it is cheaper and its games are vastly different from the 360's games. Then a couple days ago Sony announced the Metal Gear Solid 4 and DUALSHOCK 3 bundle and now I'm leaning towards that. The PS3 still has plenty of games that different enough from anything the 360 has to offer to warrant a purchase. The PS3 is also easier to find and the cheapest BluRay player around(not that I'd be using it much). So I started setting money aside now, the new PS3 is rumored to come out around June so that is plenty of time to save up and make up my mind. As always I'd like to see your thoughts, please try not to make this a system war. Eventually I will be owning all of these fine systems, but I just don't have the cash or time to buy them all at once.

Guess where I got this picture!

So that's it, this week's Space Blog. Thanks for reading and please keep comments civil. As always next week I'll be posting a new episode(number 3) of Deals! around Monday and another Space Blog toward the end of the week.

Until next time...that was SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE BLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOG!!!

Deals! Call of Duty 4 vs Frontlines outcome!

I'm sure some of you noticed the episode of Deals! yesterday(which has now been deleted) did not go according to plan. I had planned on doing Deals! and my Oscar predictions and choices all in one post but apparently the blog gods did not approved and destroyed half of the post. Now since the Oscars are over there is no point in me posting my predictions, although I will say that I am very happy with the outcome. Anyway I'll be going about this episode of Deals! and future blog posts as if nothing ever happened, infact the first half will remain almost identical to the original post. So lets get started.

One thing that could keep it short this week is all the lame deals. Best Buy had nothing special, only MSRP listed games and gear. A few okay priced movies and seasons, I think Flight of the Concords First Season(very funny show) being the best deal for $19.99. Best Buy also had a special on Frontlines Fuel of War, if you are interested it is probably the best deal for that game. It comes with a code for a free downloadable map, also with purchase of headset(wired only I think), either PC or 360, you'll get $15.00 knocked off the price. $65.00 is not too bad for a game, bonus map and a headset.

My Lyrics are Bottomless...

Circuit City didn't fair much better only offer some mildly decent deals on DVDs for $6.99, the theme was an Oscar inspired Academy Award nominated and winning movies, obviously some good movies were listed but $6.99 just isn't that great of a deal on DVDs anymore. If you are interested a few specific movies I saw were American History X, Fargo and Saving Private Ryan, I suppose it is worth checking out if you don't already own these movies. Circuit City also had a special on Frontlines, but instead of a map or headset all that is offered is a free soundtrack of the game. A soundtrack on a war game? I'll pass.

American History X

I was nearing the end of my weekly search when an unlikely candidate out of no where hits me with a both relevant and very attractive deal. K Mart, that dirty shopping center down the street(applies to everybody don't worry), managed to drop a few bucks on a very convenient deal, Call of Duty 4 for $39.99, that is $20.00 off regular price. Not only did this make my dilemma from Saturday's blog very easy to solve it was also a very good deal. I didn't even mention that Assassin's Creed featured the same treatment, although I'm not a "big fan" of that game so I was easily able to pass by its "less than $50.00" charm. Although if you are interested in that game at all you should act, it isn't likely to happen again.

...because they are fish!

So that is as good of segway as any to let you all know thanks to your help and K Mart's great deal I went with Call of Duty 4 over Frontlines. Don't worry Frontlines fans, I'm not giving up on that game, I'm having it "Gameflew" to me as soon as possible and you never know, if it impresses I may just click that tempting "keep it" button.

So that is it for this week's edition of Deals! much shorter than my original cut with Oscar predictions, but I think you'll get the point. If you did watch the Academy Awards last night please tell me what you think, I'm always interested in your opinions. Also if anybody is looking for some Call of Duty 4 action you can find my GamerTag on my profile page and feel free to drop me an invite. So I guess that wraps it up, I'll be posting my weekly Space Blog toward the end of the week and I expect it will have many a story from my Call of Duty adventures. Thanks for reading!

Remember that these ads and deals sometimes vary from location to location so always check your local store or online before taking anything I said to heart.

Call of Duty 4 has met its match!

Sorry about the title, but I really wanted some outside opinions and I knew something like that would grab some attention. Although Call of Duty 4 is one of the two games I wanted to talk about today.

COD4 Screen

Basically I have caved in, if you've read my past blogs you'll know I've been considering buying Call of Duty 4. However there is another game that I have been considering as well, Frontlines Fuel of War. I know that the demo wasn't exactly a critical success among the gamers, but I actually enjoyed it.

Mustache vs Helicopter

I suppose it will inevitably come down to what kind of reviews Frontlines gets, but I would really like to see what the community thinks, although I think I know already.

Frontlines Box
OR
Call of Duty 4 Box

So what it is it, Call of Duty 4 or Frontlines? Please don't just say, "Call of Duty ownz Frontlines" because that won't help me at all. I'd like to see some legitimate reasons for either please. Thanks for any help!

Fable of Rock 2

So by now everybody has heard Gears of War 2 is coming out on the Xbox 360 in November. I'm sure everybody has some speculation and ideas of what will go into the game, but I think I'm going to keep my mouth shut, at least on this blog, as to what I think will be going in. However that doesn't mean I can't tell you guys I am really, really excited for this one. I wasn't the only person worried that the Xbox 360 wasn't going to have that one exclusive "killer ap" this year. Now that the year is coming into focus a little bit I think I am actually more excited this year than I was last year, I even changed my Xbox Live Gamerpic to show my anticipation for Gears of War 2.

Cliffy B

Although Gears of War 2 was the big story yesterday at GDC another game I'm really looking forward to had some cool new information as well, Fable 2. Although I'm pretty sure it was eclipsed by the presence of that monster Gears I think GameSpot did a pretty good job of covering it. Basically the game had two new features announced, co-op and a Xbox Live Arcade mini game. Although the co-op seems to be the big story with the press, I really found the Xbox Live Arcade game actually effecting the full game once released very...cool. I for one will almost definitely be buying that Arcade game just to build up some money in Fable 2, because if I understand correctly money isn't easy to come by in that game.

They're actually kinda...cute.

On the home front, I just, for the first time ever got a chance to play Rock Band. I only rented it so I am not able to play drums, but the Xbox Live headset works fine for vocals and the Guitar Hero 3 guitar is supposed to be better than the Rock Band one. Either way the real reason I rented it was for the singing, I really wanted to take a shot at singing some of these songs. I must say it is really fun although somewhat embarrassing, I usually wait until the house is empty before playing and that rarely happens so this creates a problem. I am enjoying it and although I only rented the game I felt compelled to at least check out the famous downloadable content. Once I saw Fortunate Son I couldn't resist, although it isn't a version by Creedance the cover does a really good job.

Rock On!

Other than that I haven't been up to a whole lot, if you read earlier in the week you'll see that I bought Just Cause and I've been spending some time with that. I have been thinking of caving in and buying Call of Duty 4, but then I played that Frontlines game demo and actually enjoyed it. I guess we'll have to wait until next week to find out what I do, if anything.

Until next time, that was SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE BLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOG!!!

Deals! A new weekly blog post!

Welcome to my new weekly blog post(?) Deals! Here I will be going over the great deals on video games, movies and other crap I found in the Sunday ads and at the stores. I thought I'd start this week because of Best Buy's awesome movie sale.

Both Best Buy and Circuit City have a sale this week on what could only be described as "crime" DVDs. Best Buy having the slightly lower price of $4.99, while Circuit City has them at $6.99. The selections vary a little, I noticed Circuit City was the only one with Italian Job, while Best Buy had several "exclusives" like 25 Hour, Gangs of New York and all three of the Godfather movies. On top of that the Circuit City in my town already has a somewhat limited selection of DVDs and some of the more obscure titles on both lists were only available at Best Buy, like The Warriors. I bought three movies at Best Buy this week, 25 Hour, Carlito's Way(yes the original) and The Warriors, for a total of $16.09 including tax.

Well can you?

On the gaming front this week wasn't anything special. Best Buy had a particularly small video game section in this weeks ad highlighting several not on sale items. Circuit City had a mildly better selection with all "Cool Deals" games being 25% off. Here is the problem with that, what exactly is a "Cool Deals" game? Other than the few advertised in the ad itself you'll be hard pressed to find any games with that small blue sticker on it. I searched through the Xbox 360 section only finding Just Cause with the sticker on the case. Several PS2 games and Xbox games had the sticker though, including Half Life 2 and TimeSplitters 2. Just Cause was surprisingly only $14.00 before the sale, droping the total to about $11.00, not bad if I do say so myself.

When you're this sauve you don't need logic!

I didn't notice anything else particularly exciting this week, but then again I didn't look too hard. Remember that these ads and deals sometimes vary from location to location so always check your local store or online before taking anything I said to heart. I look forward to doing this again next week and hope to see your comments soon.

Funky Fresh News For Y'all!

Well if you've known me long enough it is no secrete that my all time favorite video game console was the Sega Dreamcast. No not because of all the typical titles people loved on that system, it was different for me. I never player Soul Caliber or Skies of Arcadia, for me that system was all about five games.

First Toy Commander, I know it seems odd but this game is probably my all time favorite game, now I'm not saying it is the greatest game ever made, I could very well see many people not liking it, but I love it.

Photobucket

The second game is Crazy Taxi another game that I fell in love with for some odd reason. Countless hours hearing that probably insane man screaming on the main menu. "Hey hey it's party time and lets have some fun!"

Photobucket

Third was Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2, this I'm sure needs no introduction. I spent so much time creating parks in that game that I had memory cards just for it.

Photobucket

Forth is Sonic Adventure 2, anybody who has ever owned a Dreamcast should know this one. Basically Sega's answer to Super Mario 64. Really an amazing game, they even remade it for the GameCube some years later. From baby sitting to robot killing this game had it all.

Photobucket

Finally to the entire point of this blog the final game that sparked that passion for the Sega Dreamcast...Vigilante 8 2nd Offense. For me to say that the Dreamcast was my first experience with that game would be a lie, the Nintendo 64 is the system I first got attracted to the Vigilante 8 series from and the Playstation was actually the first system to ever have the game.

Photobucket

Anyway you are all probably wondering what all this means. Well besides giving you an inside look at what my favorite games of the 90s were there is actually a general point to all this.

Photobucket

If that wasn't enough for you, let me spell it out. Vigilante 8 is coming out...again!

Now to be a little more specific it isn't coming to the Dreamcast...no it is dead. It isn't coming to the PlayStation, where it got its start either...and no not the PS3. It is coming to the Xbox 360, and from the title you might have guessed it, it is coming to the Xbox Live Arcade. If you are interested in the game I highly suggest you head over to V8Arcade.com for all the information available.

All I can say is "wow" at this point, it is like they read my mind and decided to make one of my fantasies come true. I would even go as far to say this is my new most anticipated title of 2008, yes more than GTA.

Thanks to IGN.com, GameSpot.com and V8Arcade.com for the images.

Until next time...that was SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE BLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOG!!!

I guess I am back finally.

Well I suppose I owe an apology to anybody looking forward to that Top 10 Funny Games thing I was planning on doing. I think I may have bit off a little more than I could chew with that one. I had no intentions of disappointing anybody so as I began looking at games and your posts I figured that to be impossible. Instead of slapping together a list that would probably get more criticism than compliments I decided to just skip it and not create one at all. On top of all that my computer died, I had a change in hours at work and several other smaller things happening at the same time. Of course I would like to update this blog regularly but it isn't exactly on the top of my priorities once the chips are down. So I apologize to anybody who wanted to see that list, because it won't be happening at least not any time soon. However I may do something similar just showing off a few games that are funny, numbers always make things more complicated than they need to be.

Alright, now that is out of the way I'll give you guys an update on what exactly I have been up to for the past month, at least as far as gaming goes. I'll start with games I've purchased since I've not posted. Since my 360 is my only "next gen" console I'll start with...and finish with that. I actually ran in to pit of a gaming rut there in late December and early January, I'm sure I wasn't the only one to notice the lack of decent games. That pretty much came to a screeching hault about three weeks ago with Burnout Paradise.

Burnout Paradise is actually going to go down in my life as one of the most memorable moments in gaming...no not just gaming actually one of the single most memorble experiences in my life all together. Now most of you are probably like, "what? Burnout wasn't that good!!!1111!!1" you'd be right, that isn't what makes this game so memorable for me. I was playing online late one night just doing some challenges with some random people, nice people too, and out of no where a new player joins. Well this isn't usually too big of a deal, but then I read the gamertag, "GameSpotting". I was instantly like, "That's Jeff Gertsmann!" I had to make sure, so I took him down, and as the picture flashed on my screen I saw none other than the grinning mug of our favorite former GameSpot editor. It wasn't enough that he was just in the room with me either, over the next few days I managed to join several rooms with him(via the recent players list). We talked about Rez HD, Achievements and our concept for a dirt track owner simulator(think Dirt Track Tycoon). Eventually my players list became full of other random players and he was bumped off, but that will easily become one of my most memorable moments in gaming and even life.

Just last week I picked up Devil May Cry 4 and have yet to finish so I'll wait until a future post before I go too in depth on this game. However I will say that the story line has had more "oh that was awesome" moments than I can remember from the past games.

I have also been waiting for Turok from Gamefly for about two weeks now too, but the massive popularity of the dino-hunter seems to be getting in the way of my knife killing needs. I have had that game in my "GameQ" alone for about two weeks and the "very low availability" sign next to it is starting to mock me. Although I have had a chance thanks to GameFly to play one of last years overlooked titles, Eternal Sonata.

Eternal Sonata is not a game you'll want to pick up unless you have a very large attention span, as of four hours in I'm pretty sure I've spent more time watching than playing. I think I can handle it though, this game literally revolutionizes the turn based RPG. Seriously if you are fan of turn based games and you haven't played this you are doing yourself very poorly. I have yet to complete this game either, so until then I'll remain vague on the details.

So as you can see I've got plenty of game ahead of me, so I should probably get to it. Again sorry to anybody expecting that Top Ten Funny Games list but I may get something related out eventually. I'll try to get back into updating this blog weekly and thanks to anybody who is still willing to read.

Until next time.....that was SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE BLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOG!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Top Ten Funniest Video Games: Nominations

The gaming universe is a strange one, while the movie industry puts out another comedy every week gamers are lucky to see one good one each year. I myself enjoy the comedic video game and am compiling a list of the Top Ten Funniest Video Games. I've already got a good idea of what will be on the list but to avoid anybody being too upset I'll open it for discussion right now. Please feel free to "nominate" whatever titles you'd think would be good on the list. The game that's said the most isn't necessarily going to be number one, or even on the list, but I am open ears and want to know what you guys think should be on the list. I'll be putting the list up on my next edition of Space Blog some time next week.

Space Blog 2.0 is Now

In lew of the new more serious style of blogging I've been doing recently and the new profile banner I've decided to update my blog header. Space Blog is no longer, Space Blog 2.0 is now. Nothing big will be changing, other than the fact people may actually read now that it isn't all mindless dribble, well not as much anyway. I'll be adding new blog entries at least once a week now and hopefully even more frequently than that.

New Banner

Took me a while but I finally decided to dust off the old PhotoShop skills and put that Art Design class to work. Now I couldn't quite remember all the ins and outs of PhotoShop but I think the banner came out relatively well for the first thing I've made in well over a year. I've themed it to match BioShock which is recieving all sorts of GOTY buzz and has already one GOTY at the VGAs.

So many games, so...er....much time!

Well I've been enjoying lots of free time over the past month or so. Normally I would be bored out of my mind with this much free time but due to the massive amount of games to be released over the past few months, well I've been enjoying it quite well.

Funny thing is though, I haven't really been playing all the new big titles of this year, in fact I've been playing a lot of older titles that I was never able to spend appropriate time with. Why, you ask? It is the great deals being offered all over the place these past few weeks. From Meijer with their buy one 360 game get one free(up to 39.99), or Best Buy selling Gun for five bones. Now just today I noticed Guitar Hero II, with guitar I might add, for $45.00 at Toys R Us. I mean I've put just as much money into the older games this holiday season as I have the newer ones.

However games aren't the only thing I'm getting great deals on. Movies, dvds rather, are being sold off like cheap crack. I mean in the last month or so I've doubled my collection, as small as it may be. To list a few I was able to pick up A History Of Violence, Snatch, Fargo and Liar Liar all for around twenty bucks, think about it I was able to get four movies for what one of them probably cost a year ago.

The greatest movie related stuff isn't only happening at Best Buy and Circuit City either. Go down to your local theater and check out the slew of at least semi decent movies coming out soon or out now. In the last month we got No Country For Old Men, Into The Wild and Hitman okay that one isn't so great. This month we a get another payload of worthy movies Dewie Cox, AVP-R, Sweeney Todd, Charlie Wilson's War and There Will Be Blood to name only a handful. It is clear we are getting a treat in almost every media front.

Well any blog where I can work in both a Paul Thomas Anderson and Coen Brothers reference is bound to be good. So I guess that will wrap it up for this week. To sum up what I've said into one word...glarf. You can go ahead and think about that.

Till next time...that was Spaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaace Bloooooooooooooooooog!!!

In Jeff we trust, in CNET...not so much.

I'm posting this to spread the word of the protest tomorrow December 3rd. Me and lots of other frequents are protesting CNET's decision to fire Jeff by not visiting GameSpot at all tomorrow. If the members who protest reach high enough numbers hopefully GameSpot staff will notice that we will not remain silent.

24 Hours VivalaJeff

Look about the GameSpot blogs and you'll see several other members who are protesting and I ask you to join us.

I will relay a message from another user. He made a few good points that we should follow.

-Don't punish the staff, they are getting it hard enough with the constant flow of emails I'm sure. If we ever plan on seeing On The Spot ever again I suggest keeping the emails game related.

-If you want to protest do not come to GameSpot on the 3rd and join this union: http://www.gamespot.com/pages/unions/home.php?union_id=webcomicunion

Thanks for any support I'm sure Jeff and the rest of the staff appreciates it.

TWO IN A HOUR! -={Jeff Related}=-

This one will be brief.

Okay let me start by spelling out the rumor for any of you who don't already know. Jeff Gertsmann of GameSpot and more specifically host of On the Spot has reportedly been fired. No confirmed reasons although the rumor is that it has to do with the lackluster Kane and Lynch review.

Some of you reading this may know of a post I made exposing a error in Jeff's review, specifically that he never finished the game. I'm not going into the specifics now but I'm sure you can find the post on the Kane and Lynch boards. I know that it is still rumored whether or not that review had anything to do with his firing but I can help but feel semi responsible. I stand by my post still, his review of the game is undoubtedly poorly written. However upon writing my post I was unaware of any repercussions the review would have. I'm going to say this, I had no intention of getting GameSpot's face and personality fired. I know it was a post on a stupid board that nobody important probably reads but I know for a fact that at least one individual had reposted my statements at another location. I didn't follow it but I'm afraid if it garnered enough attention it could have had something to do with this whole mess.

Jeff Gerstmann should NOT have been fired for any reason outside of several reviews being poorly written. Evidently that is not the case, if it isn't I will immediately protest one of my favorite developers(IO developer of Kand and Lynch) until amends are made. I'm now wait for the full story as all of you are and can only hope these are a sick bunch of rumors.

This isn't Space Blog.

Two Weeks Later...

Here it is two weeks later and yes...wait for it...a new blog! Looks like I might actually manage to keep up with blog posts now rather than posting incoherent crap every couple months.

Anyway no need for mindless chatter onto this weeks...err two weeks(???) topic. Trying to stay away from anything meaningful or controversial I will simply talk about one of the best things to ever happen to me...Mass Effect.

So Mass Effect came out last week and that game can single handedly be blamed for me not doing anything constructive for the past week and a half. To put it simply Mass Effect is downright amazing. It does have several small issues, but these are easy to over look due to the fact this is the most emotionally attaching game I've ever played. I actually find myself struggling to be mean or cruel to the characters in the game because they all feel so real.

On top of the amazing characters the game is based in what is likely the most realistic science fiction universe I've ever seen. Everything in it, from the ships and weapons down to the planets and aliens all feel very real and quite possible. I've never seen such attention to the small details than in this game, want to know how the weapons work? Well they tell you...not just a simple answer like it is a magnified laser or something either, they scientifically explain how the weapons work and why ammo isn't an important factor anymore. To put it simply I could honestly see everything in this game, under certain circumstances, actually existing and happening.

However the game isn't perfect. There are several small things in this game the stop it right on the edge of greatest rpg ever. The smallest issues are things like enemy AI being a little weak(they never seem to change tactics) and the lack of enough autosaves(at some point you'll find yourself replaying a large portion of the game because of this). The biggest issue is the texture pop in. Although that sounds small it really can rip you right out the mood during a cutscene if someone's eyebrows appear on their face mid-sentence. These problems hardly ruin the game though, they just keep it from being amazing.

Well that is Mass Effect for you, as a rule to myself I no longer write number based reviews(maybe that will be a subject for another blog). However you can tell from reading I would recommend this game to anybody in the market for an RPG.

In other news earlier this week I stumbled upon a little gem from 2003 known as Freelancer. This PC game puts you in the shoes of Edison Trent, a futuristic space pilot. The game is very open ended and all about space. I always wanted a game that lets me be a space pirate and till today the closest thing I've seen is Star Wars Galaxy(and I can't get into MMORPGs). I might write more about this game once I've had more time with it, but as far as I can tell it is pretty deep and quite interesting if you are into that sort of thing.

Well that is it for this week till next time... that was Spaaaaaaaaaaaaace Bloooooooooooog!!!

Long time no Blog...

Damn when was that last entry? Has to have been months ago. In hopes of nobody reading the lunacy of those pastblogs I am going post a new one more frequently than I have in the past...not that anybody will be reading them.

Anyway, it is that season again. September through November I always seem to be short on cash, why you ask? Well the games of course! It is time again for the gaming season to begin. Here it is at the tale end of the season and perhaps the title I'm looking forward to the most has yet to be released. Mass Effect comes out next week and I'm sure...if you have an internet connection and a Xbox 360 you've had it rammed down your throat enough.

Mass Effect isn't what I want to talk about however, but simply all the titles this season and the ones I'll be picking up...or have already.

BioShock: To me the season opener, even though it came out back in August this along with the Maddens really mark the beginning of that time of year. I love the game, one of the greatest gaming story lines of all time.

Halo 3: Nearly a month and a half later came Halo 3, obviously the biggest title of the season...and possible the century. The multiplayer is what you would expect and the online co-op is great. This game really disappointed me though, one of the biggest games in history had one of the worst endings in recent memory.

The Orange Box: Amazing. If you own a Xbox 360 with Live and you didn't buy this...you're dumb. Easily the best deal of the year, five excellent games in one. Portal was the first I played and although ridiculously short(2-3hrs) it was one of the funniest/funnest titles I've played. Team Fortress is great, but plagued by crummy connection issues. Half Life 2 was an epic tale that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Guitar Hero 3: Well it was definitely Guitar Hero, but in my opinion it didn't have that great of a setlist and that kills a rythm game. I'll say the online portion was done really well and I enjoy playing co-op with friends that I normally wouldn't play this type of game with. The biggest blow to me was the Axe in game advertisements, if you know me you know I hate Axe ads...and in one of my favorite games it really hurts.

Kane and Lynch: Dead Men: No longer kiddy corner anymore, this is one sicko game. I've just picked it up today and can already say it has the most adult story I've ever seen in a video game. Swear words, criminals, knives and bullets...yup that's Kane and Lynch for ya.

Mass Effect:My most anticipated title of the year and it comes out next week. I don't know if it is my love for Star Wars, Bioware RPGs ora good story that interests me the most in this game, but man I can't wait. From what I've heard there will be no disappointments either, a game in the works for some time now and I have a feeling it will show. We'll see on the 19th I believe that is when the embargo ends and the reviews will flow in.

Well that is it, that is my season list. I know several big ones were left off but I have a limited budget...and if this year was a sign I'm sure next Spring and Summer will be the perfect time for those titles.

Till next time...that was Spaaaaaaaaaaaace Blooooooooooooooog!

3. I bought Metroid Hunters
4. I bought Shivering Isles
5. I played Shivering Isles

Well now that that is done time to write about something else.
I am making movie, well not the way one would hope.  Simply a assinment for school  However I may be able to work in a "Grindhouse" kinda trailer during the movie.  That is only thing that matters.

OH I saw Grindhouse...tehe I almost forgot.  It was good, although I'm still not sure what the hell was going on.

Prrrrrrrrruppppppa!!!

How do you spell the sound a fart makes I wonder.  I would say from my expierence it would be somewhere along the lines of "prrrup" adding an "a" as a suffix or prefix perhaps for different types of farts.
