Yep, it has been a while since my last post. Partly because my computer is so slow, and it took me like 15 minutes to get fully logged onto the site again -_-, but its a very good site with some very good people who are very intelligent when it comes to Hip Hop (dem headz).
So, since my last visit not much has happened. Isn't far enough into the year to talk about new albums, but I DID finally hear "Servants in Heaven" by Jedi Mind Tricks. REALLY good album by Jedi Mind, some truly great tracks on there, so if you haven't heard it, go check it out.
Right now I'm just listening to some Eric B. & Rakim, and maybe do a little work in a bit. Play a game or something, you know, stuff
Other than that, what's up with you all? How's life treating everyone? Just check in people, its nice to hear from my homies.
Until then, peace easy people.

Merry X-Mas everyone...It's about 4 am here, and I'm wide awake blasting "Ghost Ride The Whip" by Mistah Fab
What can I say? It's keeping me awake, and the beat is real stupid dumb.
But yeah ya'll, Merry X-Mas, Happy Holidays.
.And RIP to James Brown.
What's going on with ya'll? Haven't spoken to any of you all in a while. So, what's up?

That's right, a 15 year old kid, died recently around where I live. Why, you may ask, and there is an answer. While most probably won't believe, or understand the answer, it is the truth.
One day, after playing Basketball with a few of his cousins, the kid started walking home. Now on his way home, a few people rolled up on bikes; a 13 year old, a 16 year old, a 17 year old, and an adult. They demaned the kid hand over his jersey and shoes, at gunpoint. After handing over his stuff, they proceeded to shoot...and kill him.
All this over a jersey and some shoes. This kid was 15, hadn't seen anything in life yet, and now he's dead...It makes no sense of how stuff like this continues to happen, why we kill each other over meaningless items. And everyone said this kid was nice, and bright. It always happens to people like that.
It's a shame...

When I first heard about Chamillionaire, I thought, "Another Houston rapper, he probally sucks as bad as Paul Wall". But I gave the album a chance anyways, and I have to say, I love it. He's now my favorite Houston MC and one of my favorite MC's in the game today. His album, The Sound of Revenge, is a true great album for any Houston fan. Chamillionaire can rap, that's obvious. But you never realize how well he raps until you hear this album. He inserts internal rhymes here and there to make his long verses even better. But this is a review of the album, so some things that are great about the album is the fact that there are quite a few songs on the disc, including 5 in the special edition disc. All of them average a length of about 4:30, which is a great length for every song. And all of them are great songs, you'll find no songs that you hate. The song 'Think I'm Crazy' showcases Chamillionaire's storytelling skills. While 'Southern Takeover' has him callaborating with a few other artists creating another quality track. 'Picture Perfect' has him rapping about taking photographs with Bun B, while 'Rain' has him rapping with Scarface about the screwed up world. Every song offers something different, which I find great. If you consider yourself a rap fan, you will find something you like on this album. Whether it be the lyrical skills of Chamillionaire or the beats supplied for his songs. This is an album for every rap fan, go out and purchase it if you haven't already.

Paul Wall is just one part of all the Texas rappers coming out these days, and he's probally also the worst. Paul Wall lyrics are sometimes aposlutley horrible, the other times they're just average. He gets good beats most of the time, but with him rapping the way he does it means nothing. Paul Wall cannot rap. He makes some of the worst analogies I've ever heard such as "posted up on the block like a mailbox" and it annoys me when people talking about his great lyrics. They aren't great, they aren't even good, they're average. Overall, I think Paul Wall is a very bad rapper.

This is a review of the song Grillz, on Nelly's album Sweatsuit. Before I even heard this song I thought it sucked because I don't like Paul Wall or Nelly's rapping skills. But once I actually I heard it I was very suprised, it has a great beat and the lyrics are actually pretty decent. It's now my favorite Nelly and Paul Wall song and has one of my favorite beats. Even if you hate these two artists, check this song out anyways, it's suprisingly good.

When I listen to 50, he usually has some pretty good songs and decent lyrics. But then I hear a song like 'Piggy Bank' that contains the line - "Yayo bring the condoms I'm in room 103". Horribly sounding line, seeing it written out makes him look, let's just say "odd". The thing is, 50 can make some okay songs, some really good ones, but he can't continually make good songs if he keeps rapping horrible lyrics like those. I think he actually has talent, but he needs to start using it well.

Rakim is without a doubt the best rapper ever. He has one of the best flows ever and gets great beats for his songs. He raps about things such as his religion among other things. It seperates him from rappers that are coming out today who talk about nothing except how much of a gangsta they are or how much money they have. It's good for a little bit, but it is tiring after a while. I can't remember a song I've heard by Rakim where all he raps about how rich he is or how much of a gangsta he is, that's just not what he does. Also, he actually doesn't swear very much, which is amazing with him being a rap artist. So if you haven't heard of Rakim, I suggest you go out and buy as many Albums as you can by Rah. He is legendary, The greatest.
