Get rich quick?
I have been out of school since December and still have not found a job, it sucks. Badly.
I'm not done with college, I just wanted to take some time off to save some money. That's kinda hard to do when no one is hiring! I'm not sure what to do at this point.
Anyone know any get rich quick schemes? lol Or anything at all I could do in my spare time for some cash? All ideas are appreciated.
Buy my stuff on eBay!... Again!
What happened to DVD releases?
As I recall, there used to be a link on the homescreen that showed which new TV shows had DVDs out that week. Does tv.com not do this anymore, or is my computer hiding things from me?
Sorry if this issue has been discussed recently, I'm not on here much anymore.
***Just to make things clear, I am not talking about DVDs in general (vs. Bluray). I am talking about the column on the home page that used to show releases.

That 70's Show Complete Series Stash Box
Hello, friends.
So I have long considered buying the box sets of That 70's Show, but never quite got around to it. Not too long ago I found out that the entire series was available in a cool "stash box" set. Well I finally decided to purchase this set and I couldn't be happier. My girlfriend and I have been wanting it since we saw it online and after shopping around for the best price I finally found one brand new on eBay for $120. This set retails anywhere from $160-$200 so I was very pleased with my find.
The box contains all 8 seasons, that's 200 episodes, each packed in a neat little folder which looks like an old vinyl record case and each disc is in its own sleeve. There is also a hardback book with cast interviews, character timelines, and episode summaries, as well as a copy of the final script. The box itself is very well made with a carrying handle and metal latches to keep the top on. A great, sturdy design.
If you love this show as much as I do, I would definitely recommend this special set. I'd even say it's worth replacing the old ones since it saves so much shelf space.

Sorry to sound like a sales pitch, I am just really happy with this DVD set and wanted to share it with anyone who may be interested!
Take care, tv.comers.

Beer Me
Yay. I turn 21 today.
I'm not really as excited as I should be though. I mean, yeah I can buy beer, but I've never really had a problem getting it before, haha. And it's not like I'm a hardcore drinker anyways.
But hey, at least I can buy a handgun and gamble on table games!
Heeee-Haaawww! Hit me! *shoots guns in air while chugging a bottle of whisky*
Gobble Gobble
Eat up!
Last blog for a while?...
Yeah, so I've come to realize that I lead a very boring life and never have anything to blog about. Anyone who ever stops by here might have noticed that I don't blog too often anyways. Plus I hardly ever have time to check out anyone else's entries. So for the time being I'm gonna go ahead and quit writing these goofy things.
If you read my last blog you will remember that I was going out to a Halloween party: Hell On Earth 2008. Respectfully named after Satan's party on South Park. It was a freaking awesome party. There was a haunted trail, whipcream wrestling, a huge movie screen outside made of paper with the projector on the roof, several beer pong tables, a fog machine, and strobe lights everywhere. Not to mention so many people it was difficult to move. I'm way to lazy to upload pics to photobucket though, sorry. Good times.
Anyways, I better get the day started. I need to change my major today. I'm going into biology. =)
Later, guys.
Costume Party Tonight
My friend, Adam, is hosting a killer costume party tonight. A little early for Halloween, but still. I can't wait to see all the goofy costumes. I'm going as my friend Dingess because he's a funny guy. I got a long blond wig and a hawaiian shirt and I look just like him! It's crazy. My girlfriend is going as some sexy little Vegas show girl or something, haha. I'll prolly post pics sometime this week.
Oh, and there's gonna be whipcream wrestling! And enough beer to bring down a two ton rhino. =)
Bid on Simpsons collectibles!
I'm auctioning off a bunch of my rare Simpsons collectibles on eBay. I own tons of doubles so I thought I'd have fun with them. These are mystery auctions starting off at only 1 penny! The lucky winner of the auctions will recieve a mystery package containing anything from Simpson comics, toys, cards, video games, patches, candy, DVDs, pogs, CDs, posters, clothing, promotional advertisements, stickers, books, rub on tattoos, and just about everything else the Simpsons have ever sold themselves out to!
And no, it isn't a scam. Everything I sell will be worth a few bucks at least. Some stuff will undoubtably be worth more than what the auction ends at since it has all been prepacked and will be randomly drawn.
I only have a couple packages up right now, if they seem to be a success I will post the rest.
Go here to check it out for yourselves:

What happened to my avatar?
XHTML my ass.
So this new XHTML takes 1,000,000 times longer to type and I didn't even find out this was the new format until today. As an editor, I think it should have been mandatory that I recieved the news in a PM instead of having to search the forums. I don't give 9 sh*tz about the forums./
New tv.com, you suck.
Death Magnetic
Who's heard the new Metallica album, Death Magnetic?
What do you think of it?
I gotta say I'm impressed. I just downloaded it today and it rules. St. Anger confused many people and made them believe that Metallica had lost it, but this album proves that Metallica are still gods of metal.
New TV.com next week!
So now I just have one question... I got an email from tv.com refering to me as "...one of our elite 'Power Users.'" Did everyone actually recieve this message, or am I really an Elite Power User? lol
New Pet :-)
I've been wanting a pet to keep in my dorm forever now. Something easy to take care of, but not too boring. So I did some research and found exactly what I wanted... A PACMAN FROG!

Isn't it cute? A little dirty though, lol.
Okay, so some of you might find them to be boring. They can go months without moving from their spot they have borrowed in. The main staple of their diet is crickets, worms work too. But once they are big (they can grow to be 7-9 inches) they can be fed mice. Basically, pacman frogs can eat anything half their size.
I just got the little fellow yesterday, but I wish he would hurry and grow! I like fat animals.
Thanks for stopping by!
Near death experience?
Not really, but it easily could have been. Lastnight, I was lying in my bed in my dorm talking to my girlfriend on the telephone when there was a sudden BOOM! The building I was in started shaking. I look up to see the ceiling rocking back and fourth. My first thought is, "Well, f*ck. The building is about to collapse." After the shaking comes to a halt, I look at my window to notice that the entire sky is orange. Quickly, I jump out of bed and look out the blinds. All I see is a huge wall of fire and smoke reaching for the sky.
For those of you who don't know, I attend West Virginia State University, which happens to be convienently located right next to the Bayer Crop Science Plant. (A chemical plant which mostly produces insecticides.) I'm seriously RIGHT NEXT to the plant, it's right across the parking lot from me. Here is a piece that I found in the Charelston Gazette this morning:
"Bayer officials said in a statement that the explosion and fire occurred in a part of the sprawling plant known as the West Carbamoylation Center.
The chemicals involved in the explosion were dimethyl disulfide, methylisobutylketone and hexane, a Bayer official told Kanawha County officials at about 1:30 a.m. All three are "harmful irritants," according to information provided to Kanawha officials.
The three are used to make methomyl, which is a highly toxic pesticide, according to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. It was not clear if any of the pesticide escaped.
Some waste residue inside the plant was what caught fire and burned."
Witnesses described it as an enormous fire ball that shot hundreds of feet into the air. The blast could also be heard and felt from 50 miles away. There was one worker who died in the explosion and another who was critically injured and transported to a burn center in Pittsburg.
The whole experience was a pain in the kiester. The explosion happened around 10:30, yet there were no shelter in place sirens or news coverage for at least 30 to 40 minutes, even though 911 recieved hundreds of calls within the first few minutes of the incident.
The RD of my dorm building did not take the shelter in place very serious at all. Tired and aggrivated about the whole thing, I finally went to bed around 1 something since there was still no word on what had really occured.
Everything is fine now, but I'm still alarmed by the situation. There are chemicals in the plant that are deadly and this isn't the first time that the plant had an explosion. This is the third one that I can remember. I'm risking my life to go to school here, I think I should recieve some money, lol.
I are back.
Sweet merciful crap!... The summer sure did fly by.
I'm back in my dorm now, so I should be on tv.com a bit more often.
I don't feel like talking much now though, me lazy. I'll get on later and blog. =)
Moving Out
Welp, the semster is over. I have to be out of my dorm by tomorrow. And if all goes as planned, I will never have to return to this g-money thug infested Hell-hole ever again. A couple buddies and I are planning on getting a house this summer. We're getting it from my friend's mom. Between the three of us it should only be about $350 per person each month (rent and utilities). I'm super excited. The house is close to campus so I will be able to commute to school and I can get a job in town. Plus - It's a house! There are gonna be so many parties, lol. And since we have more room and time together, we might try to start a band as well.
But until the house plan unfolds, I'm not really sure where I'll be staying. There isn't room for me at home, plus it's crazy hectic there. So I'll probably be bouncing back and forth between friends and the girlfriend. I also probably won't be doing much work on the guides or blogging here for a while.
I hope everyone has a great summer!
