The Weekend and the Week Ahead
This weekend was ruined by a man named "Robert Theodore Capostagno". On Friday, we decided to have our D&D session for Saturday. Because of this, I assumed that Rob had asked his parents to go to Chris' house on Saturday. Well, the day came. I walked outside at 11:30am. Wearing my Italian suede shoes, I decided to bypass through the forest. Terrible decision.
Lately, the snow that we had gotten last week had started to melt. I didn't know this, seeing as in front of me the forest was a large prairie of ice. All I could see for a mile was ice, so I decided it would be safe. I took a step into the ice. It cracked into large pieces, but otherwise nothing happened. I walked for five minutes until I came upon a large pile of dirt in my path. I took a step into it. It was sound, but it left some mud on the shoe. I thought I could just rub it off when I got to pavement. I took another step and fell a foot into cold, cold mud. I was taken off guard by the coldness. I tried to mount my other foot into the mud to get my left foot out. My right foot sank a foot as well. I lifted my right foot, and it came out fairly well. I lifted my left foot, and my sock came out. I limped over and grabbed my left shoe, then limped back. I couldn't feel my left foot, as I was stepping on ice.
I came home, changed into different pants, socks, and shoes, then set off again. This time, I didn't use the bypass, of course. While I walked, I called Chris' grandparents' house to talk to Chris about what just transpired. His dad answered and said that Chris was waiting for me at the house. I told him about what happened, and he told me that Rob had called and said he couldn't come. I sighed and continued.
When I actually got to Chris' house, Chris greeted me and said "Rob isn't here yet". I told him what his dad told me, and he became angered. We called Rob, and threatened him with death if he didn't come. He said he was busy doing something. What he had to do I did not know.
So, bored as we were, we played on GameTap for a while. I beat him at Street Fighter Alpha 3, with my awesome "B" button mashing skills. Chris' dad arrived and served us lunch. Me, a provolone burger, and Chris, some nachos. By the time we were done, I was thoroughly satisfied. We thanked him for lunch, and then asked if we could go to my house. Both of our parents said we could go, so we walked there, stopping by Chris' grandparents' house on the way.
At my house, we just played on GameTap for a bit. By the end of the day, I had installed Diablo II on Chris' computer. It had taken five hours. You see, Chris' computer has this thing where it hates every game I install on it, because Sims 2 has glitched trees and GameTap kept freezing up the day before. I tried sending it over Xfire, as well as downloading it from my computer. We solved it by installing the original and the expansion, which seems kind of obvious in hindsight.
The next day, Rob had said that it would be perfect to play D&D. I asked Chris and his dad said 6pm was the best time to go. We asked Rob and he said "maybe", as his family was decorating the Christmas tree (and they hate it when he leaves the house).
Yea, and time did pass. Summer turned to autumn, which turned to winter, to spring, and summer passed once more. Wars occurred, suns exploded and Rob finished decorating the Christmas tree, when 6pm did come to be the current time.
We called him. He said in as little words as he could that he couldn't come that night, and then hung up while I was talking. Chris called back, saying it was rude to hang up on people. Rob asked his mom again and he still couldn't come over. We called Michael Pelossini instead, and the D&D session was pretty good except that Rob wasn't there and that Chris' brother kept talking throughout the whole thing, giving me a headache.
Today was average. The classes were the usual. Chess wasn't exceptional. The only noteworthy thing is that only three people showed up, and I was one of them. And here I am now.
This week isn't looking to be too fun. I have a Christmas dinner to serve this Saturday, and Christmas shopping to do on Sunday.
Student IDs
How many "mehs" do YOU have?
Well, today was alright. Got into an arguement with the french teacher, got a haircut, bought Garry's Mod. Next week I'm not going to SCOEP, and I've got the weekend ahead of me. Pretty good.
Sleep Problems
It seems to be the same right now.
On a positive note, I think I've correctly deciphered my vampire dream. Each vampire in the car(3) is a friend. One is going to take me places(the driver). One is going to betray me(the one that bit me). One will just come along for the ride(the other passenger in the back). I was older, so this will probably happen in high school/college. The fact that it was almost night may be significant. I was also in the passenger seat...what could that mean?
I think this is the second prophetic dream I've had. The first happened when I was little. It started in my grandma's house. My aunt Tina was in the basement with my grandma. Where the stove was shone a screechingly bright light. Tina looked happy. My grandma went into the light, and as I looked in, I saw a park sign that read "Jesus".
Two Februarys ago, my grandma died.
Maybe that dream meant to tell me that she would die. I don't know. Quite odd.
CES show
First off, I have no clue what that is. Although I'll probably watch it to see if I get an emblem. I'm selfish like that.
Second off, I have a gym membership now!
So yeah, hopefully something happens.
Game Boy Micro?
I don't know why I find it appealing. The screen looks sharp and bright, and I like to play Pokemon Leaf Green a lot.
Friday is not pleasurable(thanks, filter >_>)
This is probably the only time it does. 3 days from now, I have school. Boo.
Jake came over last night. I showed him some Red vs. Blue, and…of course…The Big Lebowski - Short Version.
After that, we played Halo 2 for a long time. We do have our
differences when it comes to games. I play games in moderation, while
he doesn’t stop. I play 4 hours at a time at most, while he’d beat a
game in one sitting if he got the chance. So, playing multiplayer was
okay for a couple of hours.
Anyway, last night I had the weirdest dream. I only remember the last couple of minutes, though.
I was in a car, around night. I was in the passenger’s seat. I might
have been older, I can’t remember now. Everyone else in the car was a
vampire, and I was just driving with them. I don’t know why.
I feel a little pinch in my leg. And then a giggle coming from the back. I say, “Well, that’s just great. Thanks.”
I start to feel fangs extrude from my canine teeth. I roll my eyes.
And then I wake up. That’s odd. :/
Then I woke up to this Scooby Doo spin off where Shaggy, Scooby and
Scrappy were in this race against Count Dracula or something like that.
Also, my sister’s friend invited me to this odd movie service. It’s called Flixster, and you rate/review movies. Wow. Original.
I think that’s all. Wait, no.
My mom actually let me choose what “physical program” I want now. Yay, treadmill!
N-n-no karate!
It all started yesterday. Apparently something happened with my parents and they think I'm spending too much time on the Xbox and the computer. So, they decide to take matters into their hands.
And now I'm apparently going to karate on Monday. Now Jake will think that our parents want us to see each other more. And that isn't the case. I'd gladly go to the gym and use the treadmill, but no, I have to go to karate now. I may look Asian, but I'm not.
On the brighter news, I bought Half-Life 2 for the Xbox. It's okay. I'm stuck at this oine part where I keep getting taken down by 6 or so guards...anyway...that's about it.
Blah, New Years.
Well, last night was
boring. Basically, I watched TV. And I carried an orange all night(Why?
Who knows). We’re going to my grandpa’s today and I’m bringing the
Xbox. Halo 2, whee!
1 week ’till school. Aw.
Halo 2 is taking over my mornings.
And now...I bought an Xbox and Halo 2, Counter-Strike, and Tony Hawk's American Wasteland. I feel like I'm 10 again. I'm playing games a lot more now. I actually use my DS now. Between Halo 2 and my chair, I'm set.
And now...I usually wake up around 10am. When I wake up, I always feel like playing Halo 2. Don't know why. I put it on, play campaign. By the time I'm finished, it's 12pm. It's wasting my days.
That's good, though. I'm usually really bored and now when I get bored, it's 11pm and I'm watching Robot Chicken or something like that. I'm now really busy.
Thank you Halo 2. Thank you.
I want to make a video.
Now, here's some stuff:
- Need a camera. I have a digital camera with video capability.
- Need a point. Don't have one.
- Need actors. Don't have any.
- Needs to be good.
Christmas Vacation: Day 7
Halo 2 is very, very fun. Very. Fun.
The campaign is easy(..I set it that way..), so I’ll never be discouraged from playing it, the fighting sequences are intense and the multiplayer is great. I love, love, love it.
That’s why I have nothing else to say. Oh yeah. Jake should be over shortly, and we might go over to his house tonight. Neat.
This morning, when I woke up, I played Halo 2. I did two things that were very awesome.
- I jumped off a bridge, shot an alien in the head and landed behind the alien on my feet.
- I shot several aliens, jumped onto their ship, and proceeded to exterminate them from said ship, causing the aforementioned ship to explode.
Like I said, funfunfun.
Christmas Vacation: Day 6
Well, it’s now
Thursday. Two or so more weeks until school. After lunch, I have some
chores to do, then I’m going to get my stuff!
My mom’s going to force me to get a Wii. She says it’s more “up to
date” and I’ll have more fun with it. I doubt EB Games will have it in
stock. :/
So, yeah. Boring day, again.
Christmas Vacation: Day 5
I feel like I’m being set up.
I woke up, got subs for lunch, and went home. An hour later, we eat.
Half hour later, my sister was forcing me to do the dishwasher. Of
course I say no, because it’s not my chore. 20 minutes later, she calls
mom, mom says something, she keeps saying “ok”, and she hangs up.
She doesn’t tell me what mom said. I open the dishwasher and it’s
dirty, so I can’t do it. She refuses to tell me what mom said and let
go of the dishwasher thing.
What’s going on?
Christmas Vacation: Day 4
Today’s Boxing Day in
Commonwealth countries, and so, I can’t really go buy anything. It’s
way too busy. Of course, we don’t really know, but we assume it’s
really busy.
If people assume it will be busy today, they don’t leave the house.
And so, the mall becomes empty instead of busy. People who thought of
this go there anyway, making the mall busy. And the people who know
that that will happen stay home. So, either way, it’ll be busy. It’s a weird thought.
Anyway, I woke up around 10:30am today. I fell asleep around 3am, I
couldn’t sleep. I think it was because I ate turkey last night and
napped for an hour. At night, I just played Pokemon Colloseum. It’s the
only game I felt like playing at the time. Now that I think about it,
I’m a night person. If I ever sign up for something or join a service,
it’s usually at night. Maybe I’m more curious at night. Hmm.
Anyway, I’ll probably be cleaning a lot today. Yay.
Day before vacation
Well, it’s lunch at school. The day’s been boring. Starting by movin’ stuff, then I took out my alto sax for Christmas. Yay.
Remember, today is Politically Incorrect Day, so I won’t say “Holidays”. I refuse.
Anyway, I’m going to record myself when I get home.
EDIT(3:39pm): Well, that’s it. I’m free from school, friends,
homework, for two weeks. I don’t feel like taking out my sax now.
Actually, I’ll go get it…okay, it’s here. While I set it up, you might
have noticed the register link on the right. Now you can register an
account here and become awesome. Yay!
My mic is horrible. It overloads by a lot. I guess I’ll put my sax
away for a while. I’m using it a lot on Sunday. I’ll be playing Jingle
Bells, Taps, Good King Wenceslas, and others.
EDIT(5:25pm): Okay, I’m alone. My dad and sisters left to get a
haircut, so they’ll be gone for an hour or so. I took the opportunity
to take a picture of the big box.
Today was alright
Anyway, today was good, I guess. I started out by sleeping in, and I
woke up around 8:50am. After that, I got dressed and headed for the
orthodontist, where I got a new, metalish retainer. I can’t speak very
well with it. It adds another lisp. >_>
Anyway, in about an hour, I’ll be at school, performing Jingle Bells for parents.
EDIT(8:20pm): I just got back. My sister, Adriana, recorded the performance on our digital camera. I extracted the audio. Here you go. I play alto sax.
Shaken, not stirred
I'm too shaken to write this. Let me begin from the...somewhat start.
It was about 6pm. My sisters just left for a basketball game. My mom
called telling me that I'll have to order a pizza next time she calls.
I say "okay", make myself two sandwiches, and watch Futurama.
Around 7pm, I was tired. I was laying down, forcing my eyes to stay
open, telling myself, "You can sleep after you pick up Mom's phone
call."
Then I blacked out.
Next thing I know, the door crashes home with both sisters and my
mom, screaming at me. I quickly jump out of the couch, ashamed. I had
forgotten to stay awake. Apparently, I'm a heavy sleeper too, because I
had not woken up after 300 or so knocks. Oh, and apparently I also
sleep walk/carry/move, because a laundry basket was in the way of the
door.
In school news, we practiced the Christmas concert again. The only
thing making it worthwhile is the eighth grade performances, and that's
only about 4 minutes added up. Sigh.
Interesting day
Well, today was alright. Alex gave me three reasons why I can’t go to his house in the first 10 minutes of school.
1. At the ski trip in sixth grade, he bought something and the clerkaccidentally gave him an extra $10. He was going to pocket it, but I
gave it back to her.
2. I “hacked” the school computers.
3. Once, we walked out for lunch. When we came back, we were 10
minutes behind the time we had to get back. I got in trouble, and got
my “walking out for lunch” privileges taken away. He was about to get
off scot free, but the teacher heard me mention it, and he got in
trouble as well.
Basically, because I’m morally just, I can’t hang out with him by myself. For the first, we’re Christians. We’re supposed
to be good, right, and just. For the second, I didn’t hack the school
computers, I was copying password retrieval programs to a floppy, and
didn’t get suspended. For the third, I didn’t want to be the only one
in trouble.
Also, I got in trouble after first recess. I was reading Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,
and apparently I was really into it, because I was “woken up” by Mrs.
Dobson saying it was 10 minutes past recess. I got the book renewed and
hurried upstairs. Mrs. Moscato was there, saying she didn’t know where
I was, that I was really late, to get into class, and that I “didn’t
ask” to go to the library. Okay, who asks to go to
the library? Nobody I know. I usually just follow someone to the
library. I’ve never seen anyone ask. Is this some sort of conspiracy?
Before that, we were practicing for the Christmas concert. Mike
Hudson didn’t bring an alto sax reed, and so I had to play louder to
cover him. I actually sounded great playing in the gym. Mike didn’t get
caught, either. One complaint I have is that the smaller children have
the same song, just reworded. Also, the final “skit”, which was a
“collaborative lip-sync” to Elvis Presley songs, was horrid. I mean,
these are small children. Maybe parents will find it cute, I don’t know.
Then, in the afternoon, we drew more in Religion. I finished early
and read for a good portion of the afternoon. In fact, I finished Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince that afternoon, and I’m now reading The People of Sparks by some author of which I forget the name. I read the prequel in Grade 6/7 and I’m now reading the sequel. Yay.
Okay.
So it seems that Friday is still a school day. That’s still fine, because:
Today was a hockey game and then we just drew for the afternoon.Tomorrow, we’re practicing for the Christmas concert, then drawing a lot.
And so forth, for the next long time. And then on Saturday, I’m off! Yay!
And an update on the huge box. My sisters have apparently been
leaving hints about what my gift is. And by “leaving hints”, I mean,
“blindingly obvious clues”. For one, I guessed it was a computer
monitor. She(Adriana) froze, then went back to what she was doing.
Later, during dinner, she told my mom that she owes her $5. Lu then
said, “It’s a computer.” to which Adriana replied, “Ssh!”.
Anyway, I decided to make myself using the South Park Character Editor, which came out okay.
