Brawl Wii Code List

Hey everyone, i would like to invite you all into a tourney style Wii friend code list. i have been playing Melee forever and my roommate and i would love to show off our stuff this fall. we have been smashing with lots of friends all through college, and i am looking forward to my senior year and online BRAWL!

so lets get the record straight, i am a nice guy, i live in Atlanta Ga, and i am a Business major. I want to play smash and have a lot of fun, and i hope you all do to. i also want to be clear that i will play pretty tough, and i didnt want to totally kill people online. so, i offer up myself for some competition this fall, and lets see who is really good out there. i consider people who are joining this should prob know what wave dashing and edge guarding is, and know that i hate playing with items.

so i just wanted to get this all out up front. i hope many will join my list!

thanks,

Competition Heats Up

I just received my latest Wired magazine, and they reviewed this winters hot new gadgets. Among the TV's, sound systems, and cell phones were the big three: Nintendo Wii, Sony PS3, and Microsoft Xbox360. Sitting atop the list was the Wii with a stellar 9/10. Wired fell in love with the new controller and the virtual console. PS3 came in lower than its rivals due to high price and lack of killer games. The online service from Xbox helped them achieve an 8/10. This artical is just the first of many comparisons due this fall trying to name a winner this christmas. only time will tell, but i have still got my bet on the Wii. Thier piggy back with the nintendo fusion tour this summer helped thier exposure a lot. making the "r us" wish list from Toys R Us will really help Nintendo this fall too. Gears of War for 360 is coming out soon and it may be the killer app MS has been searching for for a year. Sony really has to make up some ground in the media amidst produciton shortage news and constant price criticism. let me know what you think, but I think the consumers will choose the Wii with an overwhelming demand this christmas.

PS3 and Wii this holiday

Looking on ebay for a PS3 today is a very scary thought. The prices are averaging...AVERAGING at over double the retail price. now, what happens when xmas get closer and all those moms and dads have to get one before thier little kid tears the house down...they go to the one place that is always in stock. ebay. i want to hazard a guess at the average price of winning a PS3 will be through out the month of December. The demand in the market will be extremely high and the supply from Sony will be entirely too low (around 400,000 at launch and another 100,000 before xmas).

waiting in line early on Nov 17 this year will be a good investment. pick up a PS3 at best buy where you know they will be in stock. wait for 3 weeks. reap HUGE rewards on ebay. supply and demand. period.

now the nintendo Wii caught me by surprise. i am a big nintendo fan boy and i have been looking forward to this system for a long time. but i never thought it would catch on in the way that it has. after changing the name to "Wii," i thought nintendo shot themselves in the foot. but, luckily, analysts have grown to like the name and the forecasts look really really good for the big N.

i have looked at the demand for Wii's on ebay too. to my astonishment, the prices are rounding out at about double the retail price. after getting my hands on a Wii here in Atlanta during the nintendo fusion tour, i support the positive outlook 100%. once best buy and toys r us get the Wii into stores for parents and kids to play, there is no telling how fast they will sell out. and with 2 million units coming this holiday season, i predict a frenzy for Wii's that will lead to shortages in all major retailers.

look back for more opinons as i keep up with the market reaction to Wii and PS3 news.
