Calling all Supernatural fans!
Hi all!
Just a wee plea for help in making my page for Travis Wester (Harry Spangler from "Hell House" and "Ghostfacers") the best that it can be. Noboby seems to visit it that much at the moment, but I'd like people's input and opinions there if possible. It'd be especially nice if somebody other than myself were to post in the forums! I am hoping to build up the page and then direct Travis over here to have a look, and it'd be nice if he felt loved and that us SN fans took an interest in him. Especially seeing as I have heard a rumour (ONLY a rumour at the moment) that we might not have seen the last of Ed and Harry, in one capacity or another.
So please show your support for one half of the "Ghostfacers" duo, and pop on down there to give your input.
Many thanks,

Check out my actor's page at http://www.tv.com/travis-wester/person/12068/summary.html and see what you think. First thing I want to do is get a nice pic up there of the guy, he's got some great pics out there and the only ones up for him are some crappy screencaps.
Anyway. ARGH!
That's all.

I'm Back!
Hey all,
Just to say hello! I'm back from my travels and had an amazing time. Australia was wonderful, the people were so friendly and the countryside and scenery was just awe-inspiring. Gave Scotland a run for its money...
While there I did my first ever scuba dive, on the Great Barrier Reef, and also climbed to the top of Sydney Harbour Bridge. UK folks will be amused to hear that I visited Ramsay Street too...!
I loved Hong Kong too, such a culture shock, but I thrive on that! We had some wonderful food there and I was brave enough to try chicken's feet - once you get over the nausea of what they look like, they actually taste pretty good, sort of like small pork ribs...
Of course Singapore was one of my favourite times, despite the jet-lag, cause I was able to spend some time with Pix. We had a lovely day doing touristy things in her home town, and talking about all sorts of things, not least SN! Have decided that, whether I like it or not, she's the Dean and I'm the Sam of our friendship, after all, she had the wheels!
Didn't seem too bothered if she got a parking ticket though...

Feel so privileged to have been able to make such a good friend so many miles away and to actually feel at home straight away in an utterly foreign city because of it. I hope so much that I can go back sooner rather than later, as Singapore is a truly beautiful and welcoming place, so clean and happy and safe, and I'll never feel lonely there. Again, testimony to the power of SN. ![]()
Wish to goodness I could make it to Chicago in the fall. Ah well. Am seeing Snow in Bristol next weekend, so am continuing my pilgrimage of SN-related meetings... Then Aslyum in May, can't wait! ![]()
Just want to add a wee rant about Heathrow Terminal 5. Don't travel British Airways unless you have to. Seriously, I was delayed a day on the way out, spent a day and a half in Terminal 5 on the way back, missed my first days back at work, and had my bags lost both going and coming home. Not best pleased. That place really is a shambles. ![]()
So, I will filter back into the boards fairly quietly I guess. My PC is being very temperamental and I can't afford to get it fixed/replace it just now, so have to make to with intermittent web connections.
Looking forward to new SN in just under two weeks time. Am now going to go and watch the new Stargate movie, Ark Of Truth. It better be good, I'm so pissed off they cancelled that show. ![]()
See you later, love and hugs to all,
CieL xx
Bittersweet
Hi all!
Just felt compelled to write a blog as I'm going off on my hols for quite a long time in a few days time and thought I'd give an update before I go.
I am currently feeling a little weird because I am sitting, alone, in my Dad's house, my home from when I was born, and it is the last night I will ever spend here. My step-mum sold the house earlier this month as she no longer wants to live here now my Dad has gone, mainly because it's in the middle of the countryside and she can't drive. Valid point.
But maaaan, is this hard to deal with. As I look around me I can see all sorts of memories of all through growing up, and I feel so close to my Dad here. It's lovely to get the opportunity to cherish the time here on my own, but horrid to think that I will never be able to be here again. I've only got this night (my step-mum's away on holiday herself just now, which is how come I can be here alone) because I have to speed back up to Scotland tomorrow ready to be back at work on Monday.
But it's nice to have some peace and quiet to just be here with my Dad...if you know what I mean.
Then, next Thursday, a complete change when I go off to the other side of the world for two-and-a-half weeks! I am flying out to Australia to visit an ancient relative who I've never met, along with my Mum and step-dad. And, on the way I'm stopping off for a few nights in Singapore, and guess what??! I'll be meeting up with our very own Pixie9696!!! Can't wait!

After Singapore, I'll be heading to Cairns, and diving out on the Great Barrier Reef, then Melbourne, where my 90-year-old Great Aunt lives, then to Sydney, and back home via Hong Kong. I'm back on the Sunday and will have to go into work the very next day, which should be interesting! Am so excited about the trip though, with a big highlight being seeing Pix next weekend. See how SN brings people all across the globe together? Truly amazing! ![]()
So that's my main news just now - as you can see, life's a bunch of extremes at the moment. Just looking forward to the warm weather out in Oz so that I can relax and forget the last half a year or so... ![]()
Catch you all when I get back,

When the Strike stops your show, enjoy discovering these ones!
Hi all!
Long time since I've felt compelled to write a blog, but I thought this was worth a few minutes of my time. A lot has been said about how people will be looking for new shows to watch during the strike, when their favorites have run out of new episodes, and I have a few suggestions. Here's my list of stuff that is perhaps lesser known that if you like Heroes, Lost, Prison Break, Smallville et al, you really should give a try:
1) SUPERNATURAL

This is the first show you should watch, trust me, it'll become one of your big favorites. It has everything:action, excitement, an intriguing ongoing plot (one for Lost fans, although Supernatural does give you answers a little quicker!), fantastic acting, some stars who are very pleasing on the eye, laughs, and tears. It's a great little show and no way near enough people know about it because of poor advertising and it being on asmall network. But trust me, it's incredibly deserving of your precious time, and you'll have more of that during the Writer's Strike, won't you? To read up on Supernatural, click here.
2) CHARLIE JADE

Another show that is very deserving of your time. A dark and intriguing sci-fi thriller, Charlie Jade has a great cast, and a fantastic premise. It has been cited as a cross between Sliders and Bladerunner, and owes a lot to the dark sci-fi genre of films such as thelatter, and Twelve Monkeys.Unfortunately it received very little exposure when it was first aired (2005), and has still to air in the US.It has only recently come to a few people's attention, outside its joint countries of origin (South Africa and Canada)thanks to the magazine SFX and a new airing in the UK, amongst other places. Unavailable on DVD in most countries, it is available as an import from Japan. However, it is worth trying to find a way to watch this show, as it is very rewarding viewing. Stick with it past the rather slow start, and you'll find a satisfyingly mysterious and provocative tale, which enthrals in its imaginativeness. There are still possibilities that more seasons will be made if it gains in popularity, and it is an excellent show, a shame to see it not progress any further. To find out more about Charlie Jade, click here.
3) THE LOST ROOM

This show is actually only a Mini-Series, but it's an incredibly inventive, intelligent mystery drama, a little of the Lost persusion, although on a much smaller scale. The main character discovers a room that can take him anywhere he wants when he steps out of it again, but the more he finds out about this strange phenomenon, the more sinister things become. Fans of the Mini-Series are campaining to make this into a fully-fledged series, and it is very deserving. A much more intrictely plotted and intelligent drama than many that have secured full seasons and more, The Lost Room could do with your support to follow in the footsteps of Battlestar Galactica, and have a full run. Make it happen by finding out more about the show, and signing the petition, here.
4) EUREKA

Now this show already has a decent fan base, which is why it's a little further down my list. It's also, in my humble opinion, not quite so well-rounded and polished as the previous three shows in my line-up, especially given that it's brought to us by such a major network (Sci-Fi). However, it's still worth your attention, and will pleasantly while away the hours before your current favorite show returns to the air - after you've watched all of Supernatural, that is! In Eureka, a federal marshal ends up in a small town where all the most brilliant scientific minds of our day are congregated. As such there are all sorts of weird and wonderful inventions for him to discover, and all sorts of weird and winderful mishaps for him to try and put right. Entertaining and amusing fluff. To read more about Eureka, and play catch up before it returns for a third season this summer, click here.
5) DARK ANGEL

The final choice on my list, purely bacause this one has already been relegated to the annals of history, and once you've exhausted your DVD box sets, that's it. Dark Angel was made a good while back now, but it's still edgy, pacy and exciting, understandably as it was James Cameron's baby. It was also respnsible for bringing Jessica Alba to stardom, perhaps, for some, a dubious honor! Jensen Ackles ("Dean" in Supernatural which, if you're using my list correctly, you're already a big fan of by now!) also had one of his early big roles in Season 2 of this show, as cheeky smart-ass "Alec". Dark Angel is by turns, exciting, thought-provoking, funny, and occasionally, downright ridiculous, but it all goes to make up consistently (nearly) great viewing. And that's coming from someone who managed to overcome their utter revulsion of Jessica Alba to watch it! Girls - she's actually not that bad... Worth taking a place on your shelves, see if you fancy getting hold of the DVD by doing more research here.
So, there you go. My favorite, less popular shows that could be your saviours in the impending drought of new tv.
Oh, I must just make an honorary mention for one of my favorite British TV shows, Hustle. A great show in the vein of Ocean's Eleven, it's doing very well in the UK but is not quite so well-known in America. It's shown on BBC America, but catch up with three seasons worth of DVDs. Just a warning - UK seasons are much shorter than US ones, so don't be shocked!
That's all for now. I really hope folk find this a useful guide, and that through it you discover a new show and grow to love it and include it in your list of favorites. One last word of advice - if you're only going to pick one, go for Supernatural, you'll be glad you did!
Hugs,
