The Insane Clown Posse are an interesting band. Unlike most modern and more popular bands, knowledge of the ICP is spread by the internet, word of mouth, or people complaining the Gathering of the Juggalos is too loud.
I came upon the band when me and my friend Terry were talking about strange song lyrics, and he brought up the "hanging from a fan" line from Aint Yo Bidness. After a bit, I decided to look up the lyrics to the rest of the song. They didnt make sense, so I downloaded the song. Ain't Yo Bidness and Tilt-A-Whirl became new favorites of mine, and Terry reccomended about 5 songs a week. After about one month, I had downloaded two full albums : The Great Milenko, and The Calm.
Me and my friend Jay recently stumbled onto the topic of music, and I sent him half of The Great Milenko. He argued that the music was creepy, which didnt faze me much. But then he started going on about at least one of the artists connected to a cult or satanic worship group. Having listened to quite a few songs, I naturally disagreed, and anyone that has listened to either The Wraith (Shangri-La) or The Great Milenko knows that the ICP is just about as satanic as a bottle of Faygo.
The ICP delivers a message that todays music industry has swept away : Stay true to yourself, and treat others as you would like to be treated. As The Wraith has taught us, you never know when death will come, and every choice you make will matter.
Every single person in the Jokers Card saga delivers a meaning, and the Wraith has wrapped it all up, delivered the final message, and disappeared.
For the moment.
The Carnival of Carnage teaches us all that we are unique, and should be no one\'s followers.
The Ringmaster helps us greatly when battling with out conscience.
The Riddle Box tells us that we can still change.
Milenko teaches us that we are also a part of the evil that comes with death.
Jake and Jack Jeckel teach us every sin counts. If one ball drops...
The Wraith finishes it all off, and teaches us to not fear death...
Unless you\'ve sinned like hell and missed the whole point of this.
