I really like the fact that a young woman (Lindsay Lohan) who was home-schooled in africa by her parents (both of whom are scientists) has risen to the top of the pop-game.
I recently saw Lohan being interviewed about her recent trip to the hospital and very public break up with Fez. She struck me as extremely mature and dare I say intelligent in comparison to her competion.
Keep it coming Lohan.

The track "Night Time Is The Right Time" always reminds me of that episode of The Cosby Show where the whole family lip synchs this song, and then the camera focuses on little Rudy delivering the deep "Baabaay" line. I laugh now when I think of it.
All these songs on this album are timeless, and even to someone like me, who's no music aficionado, most of these tracks evoke some sort of emotional-memory.
Best song on this album? Georgia On My Mind.

I don't usually take the lord's name in vain, but folks, this calls for it. Did you watch the VH1 special on this girl? If there was anyone less deserving of a record deal -- for doing nothing but ride coat tails -- it could only be Kelly Osborne.
What I love about that VH1 special was all she talked about was not wanting to be a pop diva like her sister... but wanting to be a ROCKER! What's her pedigree for that? What local college bars did she play, who's her band, what's her motivation? Whining about being rich?
This is just... I mean... I am just saying... I am at a loss... I blame this on the Bush Whitehouse.
20 year Prediction
Jeez, you know she will be in a movie probably with Ryan Cabrera about teens who run away to Mexico to escape their tedious LA county lives. Then an assault of some more music. A public feud with her sister and family as she goes slutty (ala Christina Aguilera), then perhaps a Born Again faze, followed up with a career as a production coordinator on QVC.

Bravo to Elton John for finally snapping over the obvious; Madonna lip synchs. It's no surprise to anyone who has watched her career. Even when I was a teenager I knew that Borderline and Like a Virgin were slick productions finely crafted in the studio. So I've never been to an actual concert but circa 1992 I watched the Blonde Ambition Tour on a big screen via satellite and the quality of her voice was awful as I remember... some one should check, but I think, she went back and forth between lip synch and live vocals on that one.
Madonna’s music -- to me -- was the most influential in the 80's and early 90's. What I like about her, is that she helped teach people to lighten up on the puritanical views that alot of European countries chide us for. And although her acting is really quite atrocious, she has entertained us through various mediums for over 20 years.
Somehow, although I am not saying she is a brainiac, she seems to be leaps and bounds more intelligent then the crop of Britney’s and X-tinas and Duffs and Simpson’s that are today, where Madonna was 20 years ago. Maybe it comes with age.
