DKsigma3713 .... that's a weird name...

So, this event started yesterday! Or... today, or something. Now, they're announced some exciting news like:
If you want a ffxiii demo, you must buy advent children on blu ray!
A ffxiii game no one wanted was coming to cell phones, but now it's for the psp
X game coming this year
Y game coming that year
X game being "exclusive" to ps3
Y game being multiplatform

now, it's good, since those games in the event (final fantasy xiii and it's bastard childs, all of the new KH games, dissidia, sigma harmonics etc) from weeks ago called E3 (which blowed by the way) and well, nomura said there would be a BIG announcement, as in BIG. As in; I'll give you all hopes up of a FFVII remake.

Now, I never played it on the psone, but I've played FFVII on my pc, but the damn thing crashes, so it's got no use anymore. There's many solutions for me playing this now.
-get a ps1 copy
-get a better pc copy
-get a rom of something, which I won't
-the famous "remake" which would be awesome, and might happen, since square likes making, remake, after remake, after port, after remake, and then another port.

If not ffvii remake, at least something regarding FFVIII, since... well, I haven't played it, but have been dying to play it.

E3 '08, my personal opinion

Well, E3 has come and gone with lots of anticipation for a bunch of games. A bunch of sneak peeks at upcoming titles for all 3 major platforms, as well as demonstrations, press conferences, etc. It must have been nice to be there, since people on E3 could have seen more than most of us did. Anyways, here is my personal opinion on the big 3, and my thoughts on the games I'm interested in.

Microsoft: They had a really good press conference, and they finished it with a bang, but it wasn't such a big deal in my opinion, mostly because even though final fantasy XIII is a highly anticipated game, most of the people who wanted it have already gotten a ps3. Still, the gears 2 trailer was by far the best game trailer I have ever seen. Fable II looked to be Peter Molyneux's true vision of a game, and the "New Xbox Experience" seemed like a nice addition to the original Xbox experience. Some of us (me included) don't like the new look that much, but it's really nice to see that they care, and they truly want to improve their console in as much ways possible.

Now, there are some things I would've wanted. First and foremost, a price drop for the 360's hard drives. I want a 120 GB HDD, in order to install games, reduce load times, buy more stuff, especially in oblivion. But it's not that possible with my current HDD and I've got the money for the hard drive, but it's not worth it, not at 180 usd. Also, how about Bungie's secret game or something on Alan wake? Guess we will have to wait for TGS/X08 (if there is one)

Nintendo: I was disappointed. I mean, It's not like I didn't see that one coming, but it would have been nice to see them pull some great games out of nothing at the climax of E3 '08, just like when they announced brawl at E3 '06. The big "N" has always hid their secrets perfectly, with the world finding out about them when they intend it to happen, unlike Microsoft and Sony. Now, Nintendo has done great with its casual approach, Wiis have been selling like hot cakes, they are making a lot of profits, and they seem to be unstoppable. But, in the biggest gaming event of the year, you would expect to see things directed to people who like gaming. Sure, there were some good things, like to know there will finally be a voice chat solution for the Wii, but I'd stick to using the live headset, or a phone's headset. Most 3rd party games announced/showed were... nice, but nothing compared to 3rd party games for 360, ps3, or pc. Nothing seemed to catch my eye.

I really hope Nintendo starts thinking more about it's core audience. Us. I'm certain many of you would like a Wii Star-Fox. Imagine this: an improvement upon Assault, with good online multiplayer, ship/character customization, and lots of ways to play, á la Warhawk on the ps3. That's my dream Nintendo game, but I know it won't happen. Still, a new Star-Fox would be nice. They still owe us a true Wii Zelda, since twilight princess, despite how great it was, it was a better port of a GameCube game, just like resident evil 4. They seemed to focus a lot on casual gaming, and even though it's not a bad thing at all, it's disappointing for people like me.

Sony: They did a great job showing off their upcoming holiday lineup. From the beginning montage video, to how they showed off games like Resistance 2, Killzone 2, Resistance retribution, gave some new SKU announcements, and just like any other press conference, they talked about sales, lineup of games, and availability of the console, through a game in a way that's simply unmatched. The little big planet presentation was just genius. They had such a low blow because of the final fantasy XIII announcement, but they managed to stand up, and they really impressed me with their press conference, but I wanted more than just a teaser for God of War III, still; I was almost certain it would be just a teaser.

Now, they could have done better, by showing off something more dramatic; for instance: A new game from their other developers, especially Naughty Dog. I fell in love with Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, but never got a chance to play any of the Jak games, so it would be nice to try the series. How about some more information in your console's availability throughout the world? After all, not just the US likes Playstation brand products. I'm still waiting for Playstation network to be available for us Mexicans.

As for games that caught my eye. I'll talk some games that I'm anticipating the most that are also coming out this year:

Project Origin - You can't go wrong with the sequel to 2005's bone chilling F.E.A.R. After seeing some footage back in 2005, watching reviews, screenshots, gameplay, and many things more, I fell in love with it, but my pc couldn't (and still can't) run it as good as it should be. I became so glad when it was announced for the 360; I picked it up, and have loved every single bit of the game. Now, with a true sequel, a true, not rushed out, well made sequel, I can't be more hyped about this. I can't wait to fear Alma again.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed - I'm a big star wars nerd. When I was a little kid, I always wanted to be a Jedi and have a green light saber. KOTOR did that for me, but now, I just want to be a Sith, and do Sith stuff. The Force Unleashed seems to be the perfect choice for me. The story is just nice, and adding fan service for it, makes it the perfect game for all Star Wars fans.

Dead Space: Just check out one of the trailers. It looks amazing. The story is interesting enough for a comic book (done) and even a horror movie (let's hope not!). It's got some really nice graphics, effects, and game play mechanics that seem to make it all just so, stressing, but in a good way. I can't wait for this scare-fest.

Gears of War - Bigger? Better? More Badass? Check, check, and double check. It's just how the original Gears of War should have been, not that the original was bad or anything. But it's getting a better storyline, some (slight) improvements on gameplay which (dramatically) change some of the things you can do. More weapons, more options, and just more badassedness (if that's a word) will make Gears of War 2, a truly stunning game.

Resistance 2 – I just got the original resistance this week, and I must say, I am wowed at how good it is. I thought it was an overhyped launch title, but no, it's actually really impressive, good looking, and most importantly: FUN, which applies to the chimera, having FUN factor. Now, by adding 2 different campaigns, bigger bosses, and a pistol that shoots detonatable bullets, I just can't wait to see how it all begins, and hopefully, ends.

Left4Dead – It's a shooter. It's made by Valve software. It's 4 player co-op. It's got zombies. You just can't go wrong with a game with all of the characteristics I just mentioned. I mean, how could you? It's a good game just by checking out who is making it, and how it plays out. But by watching videos, I just can't wait for it, I just can't wait.

I just can't wait for all of these games (and many more) to come out. There is just 2 problems. What am I gonna use my Wii for? and, how am I supposed to pay for all of this? I hope I can get the answer to both of them soon.

Decisions are never easy

*MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD*

Bioshock has become more than just a game by now. Long before its release to the public, it already had many followers. Whether it was system shock fans, critics, fan boys, and such, Bioshock never lacked attention. It started as a spiritual successor toe the system shock series, and now, it's more than a sequel, and more than just a videogame.

The story begins with the main character, a man named jack inside a plane looking at a picture, and says: "They told me, Boy, you were destined to do great things, and you know what? They were right" And so, the story unfolds. The plane falls and Jack, desperate to survive looks at a lighthouse which is the closest land, and he swims as he struggles to survive. When he enters the lighthouse, he fins a submarine, and he enters and finds himself in the underground city of Rapture. A utopian city which was supposed to be some sort of paradise. But when Jack steps out, he realizes things have gone terribly wrong.

And so, you begin Bioshock. The game has an incredibly cool presentation, since it has some profound thoughts on its story. Utopias have never had a good ending in history, due to the human's greed and selfishness, since nobody cares for anyone but themselves. In the case of Rapture, things are different. Sure, people don't care for each other, but this time, people have gone horribly mad, due to a genetic substance called ADAM, which makes the user improve certain physical abilities and even gain new ones.

As the story progresses, you see that things are not what they look like. Such as the little sisters, when you first see them, you think they're normal little girls, but later one, you notice that they're more than just little girls. They psychotic beings that drain ADAM from dead bodies, but in the end, you realize that they're still little girls.

Bioshock is a game in which you have to take decisions by yourself. After you defeat one of the Big Daddies that protect little sisters, you can either choose to harvest or to save the little sister. Sure, ultimate power sounds awesome, but it's a really high price, and so, saving a girl is a good choice, but you won't obtain as much ADAM, and so, things will be tougher. In the end, the good choice is obvious, for your actions define what you really obtain. It's either happiness or power.

Bioshock's way of story telling is different from most games. Instead of being told everything in cut scenes and such, you either receive calls from Atlas, Tenenbaum or Andrew Ryan, to name most of them, or you search of audio diaries, which tell you what has been happening throughout the game. Either way, the story is really interesting, and makes you want to listen to every single diary not just for the achievement, but also because of how intriguing the story is.

The game is supposed to be a first person shooter, but to call a FPS game is an understatement. Sure, it has the usual shotgun, pistol, machine gun, sniping weapon (in this case, a crossbow like in half life) and the good old explosives. But, how many games have a flamethrower that is more than just a flamethrower. It's also a freezing machine, and an electrocuting one. This weapon can be applied in many different ways. You can either burn a character so that he/she runs to water to get the fire turned off, and then you can zap him with the electric gel. You can use the liquid nitrogen to freeze enemies and break them into pieces, or you can freeze a machine so you can hack it with less trouble than usual.

So, it's got the usual weapons, but it's got one thing unusual. You are the most powerful weapon. You can have all those powers the chemical thrower has, you can use telekinesis like the gravity gun from half life 2, you can throw wasps, you can make some friends your allies, you can fool security cameras, and such.

Since Bioshock uses the UNREAL ENGINE 3, it's obvious it's got some incredibly detailed graphics, shadow effects; characters have detailed clothes and skin. But there's one thing that really stands out, and that's the water. Water effects look incredibly detailed. Whether it's bubbles, a splash of water, leaks, and so, water never looked this good in a videogame. All of these details make Bioshock's city of Rapture have a personality of its own. You can see that back in the day, the city was like heaven, but now it's turned into hell. You can see that people lived there, people used to be happy, but madness struck everyone, and so, the city began crumbling on itself.

The only real flaw with Bioshock, is that even though it has some tough enemies, it doesn't become a big challenge, since vita chambers revive you with all your items, most of your health and EVE, and enemies with the same damage they had when they killed you. Sure, this might reduce the stress factor that some games have, and we play games to have some fun, but it doesn't represent a huge challenge as most games do. For better or for worse, vita chambers are in Bioshock.

Taking decisions was kind of hard, but in the end. Saving little sisters was totally worth it. The sign of gratitude from the little kid s heartbreaking, as such is the way a big daddy protects the little sister when being attacked by a bunch of Splicers. In the end, either harvesting or saving little sisters becomes something more than just becoming more powerful in the game. You can either become the most powerful man on earth and you get everything you ever wanted, but you will still have a hole in your heart which won't be filled easily. Or you can give hope to those that were denied the chance to learn, to love and to live, and you shall be the happiest man on earth, and you shall be remembered by the little ones you saved.

Bioshock is a great achievement in gaming. It's not just the incredibly detailed graphics, or the intense action. It's got some thoughts that few games make you have. Sure, it's not perfect, but nothing in this world is, and that's what makes things in life so beautiful in a certain way, and Bioshock applies to this rule. It's a beautiful game which must be played not just by 360 and pc gamers, not just by FPS fans, not just for people interested on it. It's a game that must be played by everyone who loves games.

And so it begins

And so, today is the day it begins, the day that begins something big for us gamers. Today is the day the 2007 gaming avalanche begins, for today, Madden 08 was released and it's the first of many games coming out this year. This will be favorable for gamers of all kinds. For nintendo gamers, we've got Mario, Smash Bros; Metroid and Zelda, which are all games we know and love. There's also resident evil: Umbrella Chronicles, but aside from that, no notable 3rd party game, still, pretty good lineup, since all the nintendo exclusives are bound to be incredible games.

For Playstation fanboys (don't take it bad) tere's got LAIR, which looks just plain awesom, God of War for the psp, Warhawk and of course, multiplatform games, such as Orange Box, Assasin's Creed, Oblivion GOTY edition which adds shivering isles, Army of two, Rock Band, Guitar Hero III, Stranglehold, Call of Duty 4 and the list continues going and going. Oh, and don't forget that cool new psp which has some video output.

For Xbox 360 gamers, there's the best lineup of exclusives, we've got Mass Effect, Blue Dragon, PGR4, Eternal Sonata and of course the almighty and all-powerful marketing bomb and godsent console FPS game, Halo 3, which will let us all finish the fight, as for 3rd parties, there's pretty much the same for ps3 owners.

PC gamers will finally use all the massive power of their incredibly expensive pc's with crysis, the game which makes reality look bad, and they will also play gears of war the way it was meant to be played, and they will be able to play other 5 new chapters, there's also bioshock and the orange box, and even though orange box is also out for 360 and ps3, we all know games like that were made to be played on the pc.

That's a lot of games, but 2008 will continue this with something for all of us: mario kart, metal gear solid 4, halo wars and resident evil 5 are some of the games we shall play after 2007's gaming avalanche.

Back to hell

So, as you can see by the topic title, I'm going back to school, or the way I like calling it: hell. jail, insane asylum, etc. Anyway, it's not really that bad, it's just that I'm waaaay to lazy to go, and since most of them changed school because they didn't like the high school, it's gonna be really lonely there. Most of my pals are staying but even though some aren't there, it doesn't really matter since we'll go out to paty's and get drunk, and stuff.

I've been playing FEAR since I got here from San Antonio, and whoa, it's the game I wanted it to be. It's got great graphics, intense firefights and some "the ring" scaryness, only that it ACTUALLY scares you. Sadly the achievements are kinda hard, but anyway, I might get them all later on.

Haven't played Super Paper Mario, but will as soon as I finish FEAR, oh and finally. I never used to like RTS games, and whoa, I just played starcraft which I bought because lots of people told me it was great, and now I LIKE RTS games, it's so much fun! Haven't played on multiplayer, but will do in a week or two since some friends are gonna play starcraft on multiplayer and I'm invited

back and better than ever!

Well, I finally got back from San Antonio, I was there for like 5 days and I spent a really damn good time. Since it was the first time I was traveling without my family, I pretty much had control over which things I bought. Since they gave me 700 dollars in cash, I bought some clothes, some clothes for them, some presents and of course, a hell of a lot of games! I ended up buying 9 games and only one of them was a present, the rest of them are of course, mine.

I got SOOOOO lucky, since I found all the games I wanted, I bought FEAR, Snake Eater, Subsistence, Super Paper Mario, New Super Mario Bros and since it was cheap and I was curious, I bought starcraft battle chest, so there's 2 games in there! I also bought fight night round 3 for my brother since he's kind of obsessed with rocky movies and the contender. Anyway, so far I've just played New Super Mario Bros. and FEAR. New Super Mario Bros. is great, since I love old school mario games, but this one has dancing turtles! And jumping is always fun in games like that, as for FEAR, well it's a great shooter, enemies are smart and they know how to act on a tense situation. They are also sneaky at times, but the best of all is that they are destructible, so it's really fun to kill them and see blood rain from everywhere. Also, it's really creepy at times, since alma always comes out of nowwhere and she's all like: bloooooooood! but I'm not scared, I'm tough, I'm strong and I'm not scared of a creepy little girl with a thirst for blood! Wait, that's scary!

Anyway, I'm gonna play starcraft tomorrow. I've never been into RTS games but a lot of people have told me that these games will make me change my opinion about RTS games. I hope it does, if not, well it had a trial WoW suscription, so as far as I'm concerned, it was a good purchase.

4 player co-op!

So today the news was finally found out the truth about halo 3's co-op mode. Yes, there won't be 2 master chief's, yes, there will be online co-op mode and the most AWESOME news of all was that it will support up to 4 players online. It's so good to hear news as this, since co-op is always fun, and games like lego star wars, gears of war, halo, halo 2, and the list goes on. If 2 player co-op is fun, now imagine 4 player co-op. Sadly you can't in 1 console but who cares? when 4 people play in a single screen, it's a hassle since it's too small or they get confused.

I'm getting organized with friends so we can play halo 3 from start to finish together completely in legendary and we get the achievements. I just hope it's longer than halo 2's campaign.

Anyway, it's been awesome to hear news like these today.

Now, as for me and my life, today I played some oblivion again, it's good to be back in the world of tamriel. I started the fighters guild so I could get the achievements, and so far it's been great though it was kinda slow and boring at the beginning. Well, so far so good. Sadly I can't continue with the thieves guild because of a glitch so it pretty much sucks but, oh well, I "might" re-start the file, or I could just use a friend's incomplete file and start the thieves guild just for achievements. I might do that, but I first need a memory card, so who knows.

deathly hallows

Well, yesterday I got Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and so far it's a good book, it's darker than most of the other ones but it's entertaining, so far I haven't fallen asleep like I did with the goblet of fire, but then again, that was a spanish edition and most translations suck, I'm not buying a book in spanish unless it was MADE in spanish, or it's manga. Anyway I already know everything that happens since every single time I read a book I somehow find out the ending and everything before getting it. It's forums, wikipedia, a friend, and so.

Anyway, the simpsons movie which is out either today or tomorrow, won't be here in mexico until august 2nd because they changed the original voices since season 15 and now they're putting them back in the movie or something like that, hopefully the voices I grew up with will be there when I watch the "premiere" next week.

And finally, I'm (finally) going to the US august 4th, which is AWESOME. anyways, that's all for now

E3 afterthoughts

Well, E3 ends today, but I doubt that they will announce anything exciting, since pretty much everything today will be just impressions and stuff. Even though it was not a massive event like last year's E3, which was downright incredible, this one wasn't actually bad. Sure, like 5 people who weren't from the press got to go there, but hey, there's E for all expo, maybe it will be good, it MUST be good.

Of all the press conferences, the one I liked the most was microsoft's. It had some good announcements, trailers, an incredible opening and a kickass ending, unlike the sony conference, which almost made me sad, since Metal Gear Solid 4 will arrive until next year, and it made me want a psp, when I don't have a penny to afford such a thing. Nintendo's conference was cool, but I expected more on smash and mario galaxy, but they showed so little. Zelda rocked as always though.

Since this is supposed to be "Gaming's Greatest Year", it's also becoming MY most expensive year, because lots of great games are coming out. This is my list for upcoming games this year.

-Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

-Super Smash Bros. Brawl

-Super Mario Galaxy

-Metroid Prime 3: Corruption

-Halo 3

-Army of Two

-Bioshock

-Devil May Cry 4

Those are a hella lot of games. Thank god for christmas. I also need a job if I want all those games, so I'll try getting one. I also have a lot of games I want to buy that are out yet, those are:

-All the remaining MGS games I don't have

-FEAR

-Super Paper Mario

-Guitar Hero II

-God of War II

-Okami

-Final Fantasy XII

Since I will go to the US in a week, I will buy those games there, since games are WAY cheaper there than here in mexico. Also, my brother my send me his money so I can get him a ps3, since right now it's a great deal, and sigma looks insane. Because of that, I might not get a ps2, but instead save the money for it, or spend it in other games.

I have as priorities the MGS games, Paper Mario and I dunno about which 360 game, since guitar hero is very expensive, then again, I played it on a friend's ps2 and it was awesome. As for FFXII, it's cheap so I might get it. Okami looks great, but dunno, and god of war II looks insanely cool, but a friend has it and he MIGHT sell it to me, so I'll wait.

Well, all those decisions will be taken when I'm there, and not here, where I can't really check prices.

e3 was awesome!

Even though it's not over yet, the things I cared for the most are now over. The microsoft conference had a great start, with the halo band playing, then it was blah blah. Now I hate pc gamers for the pc version of gears of war. Hope we get that as DL content. Then it was more blah blah, and then OMG! Halo3! yaaaaaaaaaaay! but the halo 3 xbox 360 limited looks rather ugly, even though green is my favorite color.

As for nintendo, it had all the games I love, metroid, zelda, mario, a release date for smash, and of course mario kart! Oh, and reggie kicked miyamoto's ass and took his name at wii fit

Finally, the sony conference, the only thing I really cared for was the MGS4 trailer, but it was oh so worth it. The trailer was AWESOME, but it's sad that it's now coming until 2008!

For some reason, I haven't gotten my nintendo and sony emblems, but maybe they will appear later, like the hour of victory emblem

EDIT: I got the sony one now, where's my nintendo emblem?!

Decisions, decisiones

Anyway, I got sick of searching for MGS3's 2 versions at a good price, so I'm getting a game tomorrow. It's either Super Paper Mario, FEAR, or a package which has RE1, and RE4 wii edition I saw at walmart. If I get the package, I COULD afford a rechargable battery for the 360. Then again, I'm not interested in RE1, and I've always wanted FEAR. I think I'm getting fear, I loved the demo, the pc multiplayer, and I'm so DAMN curious about it's story. Anyway, just one question if any of you has the answer. Does it have Co-op?

yay! yay! and more yay!

Well, the last couple of days have been great so far. Before yesterday I went at a friend's house and I stayed there until today. There I spent a lot of time playing gears of war with him and other friends, and it was AWESOME. I had never enjoyed gear's multiplayer due to having only one life, but now, thanks to annex, I LOVE IT!!! It's fast like halo, and I can screw up and not care. The best part is when you play annex but don't try to capture the base thingies. Instead, you kill each other all the freaking time, doesn't matter if it's your teammate! It's just SO DAMN FUN!

Anyway, I had a really good time, since he's one of my best friends and since he's got a HUMONGOUS plasma tv, it was AWESOME! Anyway, yesterday he was watching mexico vs chile, and since I don't like soccer (I'm pretty much a living sin in my country) I went to the nearest blockbuster and HOLY COW! I saw Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance for the XBOX! yaaaaaaaay. So, I bought it, and I'm just waiting for it to be in the backward compatibility list, and the best part is that when it is there, It will be in HD! yay!

Today I saw some great news. The XBOX 360's warranty has been extended to 3 years! 3 freaking years! If you buy one next christmas, when your warranty expires, the new xbox will be out! That's some wonderful news! Now I don't have to worry a bit about my 360's warranty expiring!

halo 3 decision taken

Well, if you remember my last blog post, I was wondering what version of halo 3 to get. As you all already know, there are 3 versions: the regular edition, which has the game, box, and manual. The collector's edition, which has the game, a metal box, a little boox, manual and a special dvd. and the LEGENDARY edition, which has everything the collector's edition has AND another dvd and a replica master chief helmet. Since most of the additional content on the dvd's sucks, I decided I would get either the normal version, or the legendary. I had all the money for it, but I had plans for it, but since I graduated, I got a little help from my dear old mum, and she helped me pay the thing. Now it's pre ordered, and when september 25th comes, I will get the halo 3 legendary edition, and play nonstop.

Anyway, I thank my mother for it, since I'm a cheap basterd and I don't want to spend all that money in just one game. Now I have 1000 pesos, which I will use to get 2 or hopefully 3 games. Most games are expensive as hell here in mexico, but due to that fact, there are illegal places in which you can buy "stolen" merchandise. Now, that's cruel, but hey, in my country I could easily get piracy but I don't like it, so I prefer buying NEW and ORIGINAL stolen games, rather than those games at extremely high prices. Anyway, im definitely gonna get metal gear solid 3: subsistence, since my brother sold his copy of snake eater some time ago and I prefer susbsistence due to the camera, theater, and stuff. Now, since it's for sure I can't afford other 2 recent games, it must be either FEAR or Super Paper Mario. Now, I need more games for the Wii, but I've wanted FEAR for a long time, and since I played the demo, I'm sure as hell I'm gonna love it. Then again, I'm getting a job this summer, and I'm getting paid 100 pesos a day (last blog too!) so it doesn't matter that much, I'll get both and later on god of war II. Then I'll save for this year's upcoming games, which are:

-HALO 3 (pre.ordered)

-Army of Two

-Metroid Prime 3

-Super Mario Galaxy

-Super Smash Bros. Brawl

-Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

-Bioshock

-Devil May Cry 4

-Metal Gear Solid 4 (I WILL buy me a copy and I'll play it on my neighbor's ps3 or if my brother gets his ps3 by the time, then that's it!)

I have no idea of how am I going to afford all of this.

halo 3 decisions

As we all know, Halo 3 is coming in september 25th and there will be 3 different versions: The Regular Edition, the Collector's Edition, and the super-cool and SUPER-expensive, LEGENDARY edition. All of them have the same game we all are surely gonna love, (unless you're japanese or you hate shooters, and if so, SHAME ON YOU). Well, since I found out about the legendary edition, I've wanted the thing, but it just seems difficult to get, especially in mexico. I was going to pre-order it on blockbuster, but when I got there, they told me they couldn't place any more pre-orders for the legendary edition. I had to pay 100 pesos (10 dollars) for the pre-order, but now I have to pay full price and wait for the release date till I get it. I have the money, but I want to use it in other games for the summer.

I sold my extra copy of halo 2 (long story) at blockbuster and pre-ordered a collector's edition, just in case I can't get a legendary edition. My dear old mum (whoo, british) told me she would pre-order the thing for me as a graduation present at a place called "fabricas de francia" which is cool, since I don't want to use all my money in just one game. Anyway, she's very slow and probably won't pre order it until she "feels like it". I don't blame her, the thing is expensive, but she should do what she said, instead of sayin "white lies", and by the way, I'm SICK of them, since I've heard em since I'm little. Anyone remember christmas? or how about the stork? Easter bunny? I could have lived happily knowing they didn't existed. Anyway.

So, what do you think? should I cancel my pre-order and pressure her to get me the legendary edition like a whiny little kid (which I won't) should I get the collector's or should I get the normal one, since it has the best cover (DUH). I might end up with the normal since it's cheaper and even though all the extra's are cool, the only one I think will be worth it, is the helmet on the legendary edition. I also don't like big chunky boxes like the gears of war box, they take too much space, but the collector's has a book. Then again, I don't like it when things are in spanish even though it's my language. I actually bought a 2nd halo 2 because I hate the spanish voice acting (yeah, that was a long story) and maybe the booklet is in spanish, but maybe not, like the gears of war art book.

Anyway, I'm going to wait and see if she will help me with the pre-order, if not, then I'll flip a coin. It' either big chunky box, or cool looking cover (I REALLY love halo 3's cover)

On to other things not halo 3, I'm currently playing devil may cry 3. Man, it's a great game, although it's not as hard as it was on the original version, for better or worse. Anyway, after finishing it I might play devil may cry 1 and later devil may cry 2, but I'm not too sure, since I want to play symphony of the night, republic commando, and the disastrously disappointing, Doom 3 (stupid AI, and it doesn't have all the action it promised)

And finally, I think I know what I'll do with all the money I currently have, which is like 1600 pesos (150-160 dollars) I think I'll buy FEAR, Super Paper Mario, and MGS3 subsistence. Those are 3 great games. If I have anything left, I might get a 360 battery or faceplate, or who knows, one cheap game I might find somewhere.

That was long. Anyway, and btw, if you're wondering why did I write this too late, it's because I have nothing better to do.

got my xbox back and other things! :D

Well, yesterday was my graduation day from junior high school, so yay! It was fun, but kind of sad, but oh well that's the way of life. Anyway, before the party, I went home and when I entered my room I saw a box from UPS and wow, my xbox was back, and I had it delivered on monday. I noticed it wasn't MY xbox, but at least it makes less noise, and it has a "better" (i hope) dvd drive, the hitachi dvd drive, and it doesn't get stuck, so yay! Sill, I won't play 360 until I at least finish DMC 3 and 1, 2 can wait because I've heard bad things about it, but I have played 1 and 2 and both of them rock!

Anyway, I just finished god of war, and MAN I can't wait for the day I get my copy of god of war II, which isn't too far away since I will get a job this summer as a swimming teacher, and I will get paid 100 pesos (10 dollars) per day (beleive me, in mexico it's a great deal)

A lot of people have been complaining about microsoft's "bad" customer service, but so far I've had good experiences with those tech support guys, all of them are nice, they LISTEN (unlike ISP's tech support) and they are DAMN FAST!

Maybe service will suck when my warranty expires, but so far so good!

reviews up, and more coming

well, I already posted a review for battlefront II and pokemon, I will post one for halo2, ninja gaiden, twin snakes, and other games later.

Oh, and I got MGS the twin snakes some time ago, and this time, it aint leavin. Also, a friend of mine found me MGS2: SoL and he bought it, I need to meet him (and pay him). I decided I will wait for MGS3 until I go to the US, maybe I can find substance for the xbox (NEED BACKWARD COMPATIBILITY) or ps2 (prefer xbox version) and snake eater and subsistence (yay, secret theater)

Oh, and snipe finished my profile theme, how do you all like it? I love it.

Finally, I just finished talking to a microsoft rep, and they will repair my 360. For some reason, it doesn't read the games lately and the disc tray gets stuck, and I don't want it to scratch a game, so they will pick it up this week, sad thing is that I will start vacations. Oh well, a friend will let me take his ps2 for a while and I will play all the ps2 games I yet have to finish, and twin snakes (again) and trauma center (yay! grey's anatomy!)

Well, that's about it

new game and a dilema!

Well, I got Star Wars Battlefront II like 2 days ago, and god is this better than the pc, or what? its better to play on the same TV with all of your friends than only you in your pc. I finished the rise of the empire thingy and Galactic Conquest rules. Ill post a review for this and pokemon diamond later.

When I got battlefront II, i saw a game at the store that caught my attention. Metal Gear Solid 3, subsistence. I have wanted to get MGS2 and 3 for the ps2 for a while, but my brother sold em to my cousin, now he doesnt want to sell them back and I understand since both games kick ass. But, thing is that I want the games. I wanted to buy it, but they ran nout of it today so, Im screwed, Well, today I saw snake eater at a store for 560 pesos. Thats expensive, like 50 dollars. But its new and its mexico, but it still is not a great deal.

Should I get it new here or not? Its expensive, but im desperate.

new theme! thanks snipe!

Well, I have a NEW THEME for my profile, and it's of my favorite gaming franchise EVA! it's a zelda theme as you can see. The banner looks all cool and vita-ness, which looks pretty slick, especially the glossy effect.

The icon rules, its so much better than any other icon ive ever had, plus its got movng letter =D

Soon, it will be complete and everything should look awesome. Just dont hurry on it snipe, take your time finishing the theme.

On other things, since I have nothing better to do, ill ask everyone who posts here (not a lot of people, but anyway) to say which was the first game you ever played.

Mine is, Super Mario World, aww. Good times.

daily smash updates keep getting better and better

As some of you reckon from my last blog post, I personally didn't like the Smash Bros Brawl. site relaunch. There was no real update, it had information we all know, but since then, everyday except for week-ends they have been updating the site, every day has a new pieceof the puzzle to what will smash bros brawl be. I've been waiting that game for a loooooooooong time. I've loved melee because it's the most replayable game I've ever played. You never get tired of a stock melee with 3 of your pals. Oh and those poke-ball only matches rule.

So far there hasn't been a massive/shocking super important update, but I have faith that sooner or later they will reveal

the release date, and  that my fears that sonic will appear on brawl will ceaseto haunt me.

For those who told me you like sonic, well it's a matter of opinion and personally I don't like sonic anymore. I used to like

him a lot, but now it's just that he is so lame, and his games kind of suck lately.

Anyway, on otherthings, I have had Pokemon Diamond for the last 3 weeks. I'm addicted to it, it seems as if I can't stop.

Because of wifi trade, I've gotten most of the legendary pokemon. Soon I will have all the legendaries and SOMEDAY

I'll get a shiny, even though I personally am not attracted very much to shiny pokemon. Expect a review for pokemon

diamond soon, BTW, if you have a DS, get it. You won't regret it.

huge disappointment

Well, ever since I found out the smash bros brawl site was going to have an update, I expected new like:

Wii controls

New characters

Confirmation that sonic wouldn't be in BRAWL (I hate sonic)

Release date

Improved graphics

MM link with mask transformations

That would have been so awesome, really awesome. To know that sonic would be out of smash, or seeing more characters and a release dateto start my countdown. Well, that was kind of disappointing AND depressing.

Anyway, on other disappointments: DOOM 3, it's not that I don't like the graphics: I love them

It's not the controls: they're easy

It's not the weapons: they rule!

It's the AI and simplistic gameplay, it's the fact that it aint scary and that it's not really challenging.

I need to finish the game, as well as ninja gaiden, I'm close to the ending but I can't kill this random dude from fiend world/hell.

Oh, and I got arceus for pokemon diamond from some random dude at the gamefaqs.com forums. YAY!
