What cool kids do on Saturday nights
Last night my friends decided to go to a drive-in movie! :o I went with Kathleen, Megan, and some guy Adam from Megan's cross-country team.
So the first thing that happened was I forgot to bring money, so I owe Kathleen $7. *cough* I knew I had forgotton something! XD
We girls were going to meet Adam there. Except we pretty much had never been. So we got lost pretty fast. The problem was, Megan's dad used a non-specific noun, "the gas station." He told us we had to turn just before the gas station. This turned out to be true, after we called MY dad. Megan's dad did not mention that there was a gas station BEFORE the gas station. ;) The gas station after the church would have been slightly more helpful. ;) But we got there!
Then we went and figured out how to fit three fairly skinny kids and a fat one (yours truly) into the bed of Adam's truck. We finally managed it and only lost circulation to SOME of our body parts. :D Then we proceeded to talk through the movie, Rush Hour 3, which I didn't want to see anyway. XD
After the movie we went over to the "Kiddie Corral" (the playground) and teeter-tottered (wheee), swung on horse swings (you know what I'm talking about), and swung on regular swings (the uncomfortable old hard-seated squeaky kind you see in scary movies where teenagers die a horrible death, especially after dark, which it was- which I helpfully pointed out).
Then we decided to go back over to the movie area, where we sat and talked through most of Hairspray, until it was over at midnight. XD
So we paid $7 each to sit in the dark and talk and play on playground equipment.... Yeah. We're thinking of just going to Jackson Park after dark next time. :lol: And there was talk of a camp out.
So that's what all the cool kids are doing on Saturday nights. You know it!

My homework for Monday (study for calc test, oil painting exercise 2) is done, so I'm working on Tuesday stuff now. I'll be doing study for history test and read speech book later. I'll also be doing more study Japanese. I had to take a break and write this blog because I've done something like five hours of work today between church and now, and my allergy-fogged brain is worn out. :P
