My past: I was born in Orlando, Florida, on February 15, 1979. I lived in Texas and Arkansas for a few years when I was very young, but other than that I grew up in the Orlando area. I graduated from an Engineering, Science, and Technology magnet program with honors at Edgewater High School in Orlando, Florida, in 1997 and after spending a little time in college I decided to take a break and focus my efforts in getting into the videogame industry. After a couple of years of hard work and very little sleep, it finally paid off when I began working in-house here at GameSpot in January 2000 and becoming a full-time employee in April 2000. I am 1/2 of the duo who setup and launched GameSpot Live which has grown into a team of six people and one intern as of May 2004.
The present: Obviously I'm a gamer since I work here at GameSpot, but other than that, my passion (other than my girlfriend) is Electronic Dance Music (EDM). To be more specific, trance, progressive house, and melodic-techno. And no, not like most cheesy stuff or the kind you hear on the radio or the raver happy hardcore stuff.
Over time I have gotten to know many promoters and DJs throughout the world. I even personally know or have met some of the words elite DJs including Tiesto, Ferry Corsten, Sasha, Armin van Buuren, Josh Gabriel, Dave Dresden, Sasha, Timo Maas, James Zabiela, Marco V, BT, Pete Tong, Markus Schulz, DJ Rap, and many others. If there is a DJ in town who I enjoy, I do my best to go see them spin. And because they tend to play at clubs, I guess you could call me a clubber, although I go for the music, not the clubbing scene.
Outside of seeing DJs, I'm into sports including football, baseball, and some hockey and basketball. For football, I even order the NFL Sunday Ticket and the ESPN College Gameplan on my DirecTV system -- couldn't live without it.
I'll add more to this later. :)
