So, as the title suggests, I've been getting better at drawing lately. Before I move on, my latest addition:

If you don't know, it's Baba Looey from those "Quickdraw McGraw" cartoons by Hanna Barbera. I was inspired to do this by a Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law episode. lol.
After doing Baba, I decided to draw what came to mind on my own for a while. One of those is my character, Steven Fox, andI came up with a story that I can use while at the Art Institute of Portland. I could even make a musical out of this. Bear with me.
The plot is that Steven is a lead singer and guitar player (and also plays trumpet sometimes) for a local rock group that plays in an arcade called "Xanadu" in a city known as "Rockaria". Yeah, pulling out the Electric Light Orchestra references. So far, the band has 3 members, including himself, Rocky Raccoon, and Eric Wolfenstein (you can guess where I got that name), and Steven finds a sax/piano-playing vixen named Layla (named after a song by Derek and the Dominoes) and wants to invite her to join the group. Problem is, her mother is a religious extremist and is the leader of an extremist group that wants to ban rock music from the city, as she thinks it worships the devil.
I got the antagonistidea after watching Detroit Rock City one day on Comedy Central and my #1 favorite movie, South Park: Bigger, Longer, & Uncut. So as you can see, I got a lot of inspirations for doing this, and I think I can combine those ideas into something new. Tell me what you think so far. Keep in mind, I'm gearing this towards the teen crowd. 13+ at least.I don't want it to be another kiddy cartoon musical.
Now onto some gaming news. You may have noticed in my Now Playing list a bit of a change...

I cannot stop playing this on my PSP. I'm still trying to get 100% on it. I've gotten all 20 LocoRocos on some levels, though, so that's a start. I even made it out with 20 after beating the final boss. Well, OK. There's one more boss, but that's after you get rid of all the black clouds in every single level, and I'm almost done with that too. Still, that b**** with the huge lips I still consider the last boss of the entire game, and one of my best boss runs. If you wanna find out what the other final boss is, look it up on YouTube or buy the game. I ain't spoiling anything, nor am I a bloody school teacher (Dr. Ashens reference).
So I've been thinking about what games I want to get for Christmas. There's a lot of games on PSN that are a good prices. I mean $10 for Def Jam FFNY: The Takedown. Why not? Def Jam FFNY is an awesome game. There is one I want to get on UMD though (if they even have it on UMD)...

Undead Knights. You're probablysaying "Why? This game is nothing more than a generichack and slasher." Well, call me odd, but I like hack n' slashers, especially ones that literally makes me have a "bloody good time". This one is no exception. I have never seenso much blood on a handheld video game like this one. That alone makes me want it. Blood, me likey
.
Here's one more I'm hoping to get.

Thexder NEO. If anyone has played this shoot 'em up, can someone tell me if this game is any good? I guess if it has been made by Square Enix, it should be at least good-looking, right?
So, that's all I have to report. Laterz.
Well yesterday was the Spike Video Game Award Show 2009 and i must say i loved it way better then last year and heres my thought on all the world premieres of the night

Now let us start with the World Premieres!!

Well i was very suprised about this trailer just months after the release of the first one another sequel is announced. Dont get me wrong im very excited but man this is just crazy this has to be the fastest revealed sequel ever i mean we all knew this game was going to get a sequel but not this soon. Well either way im loving how Arkham has "moved" and well i cannot wait but im a bit worried on how it was revealed so soon.

Now this trailer was another complete suprise a revival of a c-l-a-s-s-i-c that i have never played lol. I must say the trailer was action packed and gave a beautiful representation of the streets of Hong Kong. The last few seconds are want pulled me in the most the chinese dude which i assume is the main character is riding a bike towards a blockade of cars and jumps off the bike shoots the gas tank and everything blows up. This just looked like a summer blockbuster movie moment. I also loved the narration of the whole trailer and was i the only one who thought the dude talking sounded familiar.

This was the lowlite of the whole entire night. I might be just a hater but i have never liked tron i have always thought the movie was dumb and the games even dumber. The closest thing i have come to a good tron game was the Kingdom Hearts II level of Tron and even that was my least favorite level. The trailer's graphics looked horrible i thought it looked like a PS2 game too me but hey i bet people are looking forward to this still.
Star Wars The Force Unleashed II

Like Tron i am a complete Star Wars hater. Don't get me wrong i use to love Star Wars and i loved the movies but man o man ive started to hate them from the complete milking of the whole brand thanks to George Lucas. I mean i think this game will be good the graphics looked great and it could be very action packed but dont expect me to be a fan of the most milked brand in history even more milked then mario in my opinion

Okay you guys know what i think of all the Rock Band and Guitar Hero Games they are milked like crazy so you probably already know what i think of the game so lets talk about the band. Green Day really............ Green Day is the most garbage band there is i HATE green day alot of my friends like them but i think they are on crack if you wanna pick a band that is similar to Green Day but actually has good music pick Linkin Park i like their music

Spec Ops the only new IP trailer of the night lol but hey i thought the game looked quite good if it does one thing that it looked like it might do that was displayed in the trailer. The sandstorm effect as i call it i hope is not scripted but you can make it happen. If you can do that like in the trailer call me excited. The narriation was similar to True Crime i loved it and once again the dude in the trailer sounded very familiar.

Deadliest Warrior is a great show on Spike if you havent watched it i say you get too it cause its very interesting but a game based off it is just crazy. But who knows it could be a shocker it has potential since its a downloable title so who knows it might shock me.

If you know me then you know im a huge fan of the UFC and i own the first Undisputed game so you can call me excited but i doubt ill get the next one my only complaint is not related to the game whatsoever.................Kimbo Slice sucks man why can't people get that through their head he sucks he only won aganist Houston Alexander cause Alexander wasnt fighting like his own self doing some stupid run around the ring strategy. So yea Kimbo Slice is overrated but im looking forward to the game ![]()
Prince of Persia The Forgotten Sands

The game based on the movie based on the game lol. Yea that could be a tongue twister but its the truth and i have a very strong feelings this game is gonna be very bad like horribly bad which will continue the tradition of games based on movies suck.....but wait isnt the movie based off a game...........................OMG my brain hurts ![]()

Well i still havent played the first one yet but i will. I think the game looks very chaotic but fun kind of like a Saints Row just a fun little GTA rip that sets it apart from GTA cause it doesnt take itself serisously. The trailer showed the chaotic fun that you will have in the game but i must say and i the only one that think the game looks kind of bad.

I know it may be too early tell but i must say this might give Modern Warfare a run for its money with the right advertising. The trailer looked just simply BREATHTAKING. All the textures and details in the desert landscape looked simply spectacular. Now all we have to see is gameplay and i'm sold its being made by DICE the same people who make the Battlefield games so i'm not to worried about the gameplay.

Another Halo game another multi million seller we already know that. The trailer looked impressive im not gonna hate looks like they finally are updating the graphics engine since Halo 3. The trailer has a bunch of Spartans gathering together so this must be a prequel i have a feeling the dude who was walking in is Master Chief but i may be wrong considering i know only bits and pieces of the Halo storyline. This game will be a great game but this game should have ended with the 3rd installment like it was supposed to
Well that is all the world premieres so what are your thoughts on them and what are you looking forward too out of those premieres and also you can discuss them if you want
Well thats my blog for today
Hey people, long time no see
It's been about three months since I last blogged or commented on any of yours and I'm really sorry about that. It's just that I've been busy and to be honest also lazy...
So yeah anyway, as some of you may know I'm studying to become a teacher of English for three months now and that really has kept my busy. It's not only harder than my previous study, but I also have to a lot more for it. On the positive side I also like this study a lot more than my previous one, so it's defiantly worth it. I'm in my second semester already and I finished the first one with pretty good grades, so I'm really happy.
All my cla*smates are also really nice so that's a huge plus. I especially am friends with two girls (most of the time even crazier than me and that's saying something
) and one guy who can be really annoying, but is really sweet and nice most times
In general I'm really happy right now and just feel good in my own skin again. It wasn't until my new study that I realized I wasn't really happy last year. I didn't feel comfortable in my own skin and I do now and that just makes a huge difference. I'm back to my own more confident self and I love it
Since three weeks now I have an internship and it's pretty scary, but mostly really fun. My internship is at a ROC, which basically means that most pupils in that room are older than me, some my age and only a few younger than me. And trust me, that's really strange. My second week there me and two other internships (one is the guy I mentioned above) right away started giving English lessons and for the most part I went pretty well. Even more surprising is that they also listen to us and take us seriously. Which I think is because of the fact that they know we are better at English and can actually teach them things.
One more week of school and then finally Christmas break, I can't wait!
Countdown
7 Days Until Christmas Break.
12 Days Until Christmas Eve.
13 Days Until First Christmas day.
14 Days Until Second Christmas day.
19 Days Until New Year's Eve.
20 Days Until New Year's Day.
Huge Hugs to you all!
I really missed you all a lot!

I'm your basic average girl
And I'm here to save the world

Well hello all I'm back with my usual monthly blog. I see a lot of you are still active as well as some new faces I picked up with in the last few months. Really glad to see people still supporting the site and a lot of us originals still here. Alright lets get into lets go
Level 37!
Well folks finally a new level thanks to all my boards I'm about a third of the way through it on my way to the next level but I'll bask in being a vintage cyclon for now and just in time for Caprica to premiere on 2010 how sweet is that!
Movie Fridays
Well seen a few movies since my arrival back from the cruise, next blog pics for sure, on the big as well as the small screen. First off

Of course I saw the biggest disaster/cgi movie of the summer I mean year opps! Ok it wasn't scifi channel horrible but it wasn't that good either. A ton of genera cliches and bad acting but it was an ok romp through the end of the world.
At home

Facinating look at this man and how he allowed his own insecurities and the people around him destory him. He's not the monster he was of his youth and it's often heartbreaking to watch him speak reflectivly on his life experiences.

Man I need to get my foreign film sea legs back it had been a while when I saw this Korean film modern ****c. You have got to see this one the revenge twist at the end will blow your mind wow!

Back to the big screen
Yea not happy about having to see this one it had some cool vamp/wolf action and it was better than the first from the few minutes I saw of that one but is that really saying much?
New Beer+Liquor
Ok tried a few beers during and after my vacation this year and here's the rundown.

Aprilfox told me to go to Canada for beer but I went to Europe for inspiration this time around. The Dutch beer from the Netherlands was way too harsh for me very bitter. Too bad cool bottle but harsh taste and after taste so no more of that one for me. Next

Had some on the boat another gripe I have about cruising the lack of choice for all that money you pay. To stay away from American beer I went back to one I had dismissed as being to weak. However after many years I can say this beer is a great chaser after Tequila.

Another blast from the past that gave me great results very nice beer chaser after tequila taste good with salt and has a nice kick to it as well.

Speaking of kick this one didn't have any but like the Groslch bitter taste and after taste. I expected so much more from the Italians oh well guess I'll stick to the Germans when it comes to European beers and what the hell do the British drink?

Last one for this blog tried it on the boat as I said earlier I was tripping over myself trying to find beers similar to what I drink at home. This one wasn't bad but wasn't great either just bland the only advange to drinking Fosters is it's two and a half beers in one due to its 48 once cans.
Liquor

Taking a long, long, long break from tequila and going back to my original poisons of choice starting with one of the best vodka's in the world. I'll try mixing it with sprite and a few shots but mostly I'm making screw drivers. My gag reflexes have gotten very strong lately and the ideal of swallowing Mexican fire water is becoming way too hard suddenly.
Busa Busa on Dem Fools
Well I decided as the world gets worse and we head towards Escape From New York as opposed to Star Trek and since my parents didn't push me to the military or martial arts. I'm going to need more than my hands and feet if I hear a kicking, kicking, kicking at my chamber door so.....
The fool proof

12 gauge mossberg shot gun and next to it

glock 17 9mm pistol

and that's the weapon with 2 extra clips so that's 30 shots just in case the incredible hulk comes crashing though my home one day.....
Tjaman pt2
I have to showcase him again, http://www.tv.com/users/tjaman/profile.php?tag=main;recent_reviews , since he's reinvented his blog and it's even more interesting now that he does podcast of each blog. His analysis of some of tv's biggest events is quite entertaining and informative definitely worth a listen and with all the complaints about how weak tv.com is now. You'll always enjoy the five minutes spent on tjaman's two part podcast
Alright folks I'll have more next blog 2nd cruise pics coming and more be seeing you guys on your blogs and the boards bye!
One of my school projects due before Christmas is that I need to make a three-minute film. I chose the sci-fi genre. So what are some good ideas to do a short film on? I was thinking maybe Final Fantasy, Star Trek, or maybe do a scene from that book I was writing.
EDIT: Okay, I have a new idea. What would be the easiest Fullmetal Alchemist to imitate?
Song of the Blog: "Kings and Queens" 30 Seconds to Mars
Also, my birthday is tomorrow and I'm going to get DRUNK!! Ha-ha. That's what college does that ya, ya drink every weekend. I'll be 21 tomorrow!
Yeah, I couldn't think of a better title lol.
First:
My soccer team kicked a$$ today and beat the other team 4-0. Good job u guys!!! I ALMOST had a goal. Bummer
.....
Second:
Me and good ol' pals (lol) had a party @ my friend Hilary's house. So there's this track next to the house and me, my cousin Maddie, and my two friends Leah and Courtney decided to take a lap around the track. So it was dark out blah, blah, blah and when we get back from the lap everyone(Hilary, Mallory, Sara, & Elaine) else isn't there. So we're walking around the neighborhood calling for them and then BOO!! They all popped outta the bushes and scared the corn flakes outta us. Nice friends, huh?
Third:

Hey guys, ![]()
I had a great time on my trip, it's great to see family. I'm so tired! I'll be going to bed early tonight.
If there's a blog that you would like me to see, let me know.
Well, I managed to survive another week in the rat race. Technically, it was only four days since I took Monday off from work. The weather has gotten colder and we have more snow on the way. I'll believe it when I see it. We have the most sophisticated weather technology and yet our meteorologists can't accurately predict the weather. Truth be told, I love snow. When I was a kid, I couldn't wait to get into my snow suit and play in the snow. Now that I'm older, I don't wear a snow suit but I still love to be outside in the snow.
We found out a few weeks ago, that no one at the store will be getting a raise this year. If that weren't exciting enough, the Replenishment Team and Pricing Team will be restructured at some point during the coming year.
The Replenishment team will have two full time people and the rest will be part time. Pricing will have two full time people and one part time person. Since there are four of us on the team, someone will be out of a job. My attitude is, what ever will be will be.
Mom called me up tonight to tell me that she's getting me a lazar printer for my birthday. Gee, thanks ma. I like nothing better than knowing what I'm getting in advance. Yes, I'm another year older on Tuesday and maybe another year wiser. Yeah, right. For those of you who may be in a festive party mood, I have supplied some cake and refreshments-which is all I can afford on my budget. Not to worry, after President Obama's stimulus takes effect on April 1, I will have an extra 15$ per paycheck.
God, I'm so excited. I'll be sure not to spend it all in one place.
Have fun and please, share the cake. There's plenty for everyone.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK
Humor is mankind's greatest blessing.
What would we be without the ability to find humor in life? Laughter can make us feel better. I start each day be reading the comics on my computer. Starting the day with a chuckle makes me feel good.

Now, here is a list especially for Jordina. She tagged me on Facebook to come up with 25 things about myself, which in all honesty wasn't easy. I added a few extra thingies so have fun getting to know me better.

My only two celebrity crushes were on:

and

hmmmm...That's a tough one. I guestimate the photo was from back in the mid 60's. He;s the guy Carlie Simon may have been referring to in her 1970 song, "Your So Vein." He and his famous sister are both academy award winners. I've been drooling over him since I saw Bonnie and Clyde. His name is Warren Beatty and he turns 73 on March 30. IMO, he still looks great.

I subscribe to Net Flix and I get two movies each week. I just received The Secret Life of Bees. I read the book and I hope the film is equally as good. Well, I'm off to finish a mystery book that 's due back at the library on Sunday.
Have a great weekend, everyone!
Since my absense, I have joined 2 awesome new sites (Yugioh Card Maker.net and Drifting Evanescence), I highly suggest you check them out. I have also written a ton of stuff on my Fanfics and have them posted them on Fanfiction.net if you wanna check that out. I've been in many plays and am currently in one now (It wouldn't be me if I wasn't connected to theater in some aspect). Yep my school play this year is Beauty and the Beast!

Guess who I got for a role? Here's a hint. It's a line I say in my play.
"Ma Chere Madammosele, it is with deepest pride and greatest pleasure that we welcome you tonight. And now, we invite you to relax. Let us pull up a chair as the diningroom proudly presents........your dinner!"
Still don't know?
***SPOILER***
Well that should answer it for you.
Which brings us to today. Today during rehearsal, at the end is when the cheerleaders come in to lay their mats down for tumbling. (The theater peeps and the Cheerleaders share a pracice room, the lunchroom). My friend Tabbitha who plays Mrs. Potts had her birthday the other day and she brought cupcakes to celebrate, which is cute in my opinion. So I'm talking with my best pal Hayley (Cheerleader) while eating a cupcake, and she accidentally knocks it out of my hand.
So I throw the Cupcake at her and it lands on her jacket. So she thows another cupycake at me, but I dodge it and it hits someone else. So this starts a whole cupcake throwing war. I get nailed in both glasses lens, so I'm blind as pastries keep rocketing both ways, and I slip on a coat, so I hide form the line of fire, I had enough white frosting on my face........
So that was my day in a nutshell.
And of course, I fiddled with my Zune a bit and other stuff.
I wonder how many of my best pals left this site? I hope ninjaX226 hasn't left us yet. (I miss that Churro lovin' dude!)
Well, that's all. I'll stop bugging you.
Here, take a cupcake, just don't throw them at me......

Allhail out bytches! ^_^
.....but Richard aka Rickyn2 s coming back! Many pls may be confused, esp at work, but they will have to get used to it. I too have been confused and often depressed. Things are different now and in a good way. I am happier now than I have been in more than 20 years.
I (or perhaps Richard) will tell more as times goes by.
We hope you all had a great Christmas and wish you all a healthy and prosperous New Year.
Richard

First let me say I am a HUGE Mark Wahlberg fan. I have seen every movie he has made (except the new "The Happening" but I will) and still have my "Marky Mark" cd. Perhaps it is because I had huge expectations of Max Payne (it having Mark, the soundtrack and clips shown in the trailers) but I was disappointed in the movie.
I have never played the video game it is based on (and in fact haven't ever seen the game played) but I really hope the the game isn't as slow paced as the movie.
It seemed to me like the first hour and some odd minutes were spent setting up the storyline then the final half hour was the awesome action I was expecting from the whole movie. If they could have summed up the first hour in the opening of the movie and spent the time in the action I would have enjoyed it more, as it was I was debating taking a nap. I will say my teenage sons and their friends enjoyed the movie a lot.
For me though I came home and watched my dvd of the The Shooter where I saw, IMO, a much better Mark Wahlberg movie.
